《Nekana, One in Billions, Lost.》Chapter 10 - Further Relations

She is a cry-baby.

From a young age, Nekana had often caught her crying. Reason be trivial; which often was, or not.

With a tear-stained faced and a running nose she would sob.

Her cheeks would be clad in a mild red and her sobs echo in Nekana’s heart. But she (Nekana) ceased any actions of comfort.

It wasn’t because the brunette was cruel, or wouldn’t. For how could that be? The girl was Nekana’s first friend.

Simply put, the brunette couldn’t. She knew not how.

She could only stand at a single corner and watch. All in awkward silence.

The girl had curly black hair and bronze skin. With dark brown eyes like Nekana, hers were only a tad bit lighter than the brunettes. She was warm and sociable and people were naturally attracted to such a person. Unnoticed, her legs were what Nekana thought was most beautiful. The girl went by the name of Nicole. The name did not hold any significant meaning, but it suited her.

As said, she was one surrounded by people and in return was awfully fearful of being ‘alone’. At the very least, there would and must be a single, interactive breathing being by her side. She kept two dogs, one given, the other adopted.

She was a cry-baby

And there were friends to comfort her unlike Nekana who couldn’t. They would comfort Nicole, patting her back and head, soothing her with voices of comfort. The brunette hadn’t offered a whisper but they were too occupied to notice. But through time, Nekana improved and could now comfort people (less awkwardly than before). She would pass tissues and pat their heads. But back to topic, reason unknown, Nekana would always take unknown fault in the failure of comforting her very first friend. One she had opened her heart to.

Nonetheless, the fault was not hers. From a young age, before she’d even known of the girl as Nicole, she was beaten. One half a reason of discipline and the other due to frustration the maid beat her. It was not severe but it still took a blow; mentally. There was one who was there as she held in her tears in an unknown fear but that person was in tears. She had not any understanding in pain but she recognized it as ‘bad’, to ‘avoid’ or ‘if not…’

As she was still small, it was ingrained that if word was let out, consequences would be… well, unpleasant. Then, she met Nicole. Unfortunately, it was not through a fantasy-like route that she was 'saved' by the girl. For the first 2 years it was close to none in social relationships. But time faded the walls; before she knew it, they were best friends that told secrets, pasts and thought of futures. They still fought, but it only strengthen their bonds in the end. With flowing time, the 2 were close and they even attended the same school. Although in a different class, such was maintained until a specific year.

The other party came. And the other wasn’t something new but to have an experience upfront was rather painful. (Other party was a girl and this will have no partake in Yuri relationships mind you.) They were in the same class during that particular period (possibly through the ends of necessary time/years).

Nekana got along with the other party. In fact, calling them good friends were of no problem at all. With the exception(?) that she got along too well with Nicole. It was to the point Nekana experienced something new.

‘She’s drifting… somewhere… far… Nicky…’ It was so simple. ‘Don’t leave me.’ The brunette thought. Unaware, there was .

Nekana had Yasmine to lean one, so why can’t Nicky?

The brunette just felt left out. It was something more, but nothing less.

The turns of such were obvious but unacknowledged. Such was ignorance as there was bliss in such behavior.

‘But Nicky isn’t a cry-baby anymore… so why did she look like she was about to cry when the teacher separated Noelle and Nicky’s seats?’

Ask. (Right behind her actually, seat-wise) Nekana was there. So why? The appreciation was far too low.

Nekana and Nicole were like sisters. With more than an acknowledgement with each other’s presences, they accepted each other and found comfort in such positions. But like many others, they failed to see and realize the importance of such a precious relationship.

You envy. ‘I have not the right’- Quote
