《Nekana, One in Billions, Lost.》Chapter 5 - Attraction towards a Mute Siren

Nekana had a strong attraction for words. She’d often debate with herself if it was a fetish but finally decided that the meaning all held the same anyways.
She would, on a daily basis, read. Throughout that priceless moment, she would find fascination in the simplest of sentences or quotes. The brunette felt that they were sirenic; a beautiful and unheard song. Their words were like the beginning of all ends and the ends of all beginnings.
Meanings that can easily change with either an appearance or disappearance of only a single word. Several are unable to support themselves without another and the complexity of the use of its language intrigued Nekana. But of course, Nekana had also the full support in terms of slang usage. Personally, she felt that they were very convenient and pleasant sounding. (pleasant?)
Back to a temporary appearance to reality, Nekana reminded herself she was in another class. The subject was ICT and she felt that she could afford to slack off (at the current time being that the teacher wasn’t looking). The brightly lit screen shun reflecting her eyes. Given that she wasn’t in class, she would’ve transformed into a first-class actress in imitation of a salt-sprinkled snail. With her hands shielding her face. (the classroom was dark)
She did it mentally and felt proud of herself for she lacked the qualifications to even act properly physically to save her own life. She was currently in the act of holding a poker face and feinting a counterfeit attention span towards the teacher’s class. (So far, regarding teachers, Nekana has been pretty rude but she’s nice to other teachers with few exceptions)
Back to Dream Land and Nekana returned to her Mass of Words. Her endless praise for personal interests reached far and wide; an addition of endless depth it’d be described. For that were only worthy of interests she’d kept for at least a year. Separately, be it another type of curiosities, that normally lasted for no less than two weeks (like clay moulding for example), Nekana held it with the attention span of a goldfish (*bloop*).

And so Nekana brainstorm examples of why she liked words, sentences and all their fascinating forms. She recalled a certain line from a certain book she read online and it quote:
Listen carefully to the sound, to the song.
To the voices of the wind, and of water.
We remember. We remember the ancient music,
The sound that filled our bodies, even before we knew of words. You remember it, deep inside.
Nekana found it bewitching. Painfully so.
But everything has its contrasts and it’s a fact for that can never be changed.
A double edged sword, it is. She realised, that the ‘word’ were in ‘sword’. Oh, the irony.

THE TIME MACHINE (Completed)
The Time Machine is a science fiction novel by H. G. Wells, published in 1895 and written as a frame narrative. Wells is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposely and selectively forwards or backward in time. The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now almost universally used to refer to such a vehicle. The Time Machine has been adapted into three feature films of the same name, as well as two television versions, and a large number of comic book adaptations. It has also indirectly inspired many more works of fiction in many media productions.
