(Well, got give him points for boldness.)- felix

After their little pair moments, the two groups made their way back to the house. Nothing was said until Thomas broke the ice. No one expected for him to tell Alicia out like that, but it definitely showed where he stood. Alicia’s look unreadable, but everyone was hoping she wouldn’t go to overboard.

“Majin.”- alicia

“Mmm?”- majin

“We’re leaving.”- Alicia

(((EEEHHHHH)))

(Surprising)- felix

“B-but madam, what about--”- majin

“I don’t need a weakened magi knight. I need someone with ultimate strength and a resolute mind.”

“A-alicia!”- nina

“Listen Nina, whether I take you with me or not, it doesn't change anything. You were born to fight. Eventually you will have to, and as weak as you are now, there's no guarantee that you can protect this town. Are you prepared to live with that?”- Alicia

“ …….. I can at least protect this much. At the least, I'll protect the one important to me.”- Nina

“ Very well. Felix, Majin, we're done here. Let's go. I've no attachment to this place.”- Alicia

“ All work and no play, huh?”- Felix

( Alicia, you want to leave before you change your mind.)- Nina

With that done, Felix and the others made preparations, to go on their next journey. Felix wanted to stay at an inn, but Alicia insisted they keep moving. Nina and Thomas decided to see them off.

“ Um…. Alicia….. I”- Nina

“ Reduced to taking care of a terran brat, how fitting for you.”- Alicia

“ Huh? So what?!”- Nina

“ Have a baby.”

“ Huh?”

“ Get married, have a child. If you're going to live a normal life you might as well go all the way. Who knows, I might come by and see it when it grows up.”

“ Alicia. You.”

“ Well, farwell Scarlet Witch.”

“ Goodbye Alicia Rand Philistine.”

“ Not just yet.”- Felix

“ “Eh?””

“ Well, well, well, we came all this way to find the Scarlet Witch.”- person 1

“ But to think we run into the mighty Alicia Rand Philistine.”- person 2

This shocked everyone present besides Felix. He detected their presence the minute he put up his senses. The minute the voices we heard everyone in his group immediately put up their guard.

“ Come out and show yourselves.”- Alicia

Out of nowhere appeared 5 hooded figures. They gave of auras that weren't human.

So you were here after all Scarlet witch. As always, the clairvoyance of Clarion is keenly precise.”- person 4

“ It's time to take your head, Scarlet Witch.”- person 5

“ You are?”- Nina

“ Heh, who are you? You guys reek of demonic energy.”- Alicia

“ Demons…! There…!”- Nina

“ I used to research them back in the good old days. It seems that Clarion picked it up and modified it for his purpose.”- Alicia

“ Clarion, as in Medivh Clarion?”- Nina

“ By the way, I think I heard something interesting. You're actually here to kill the scarlet witch by Clarion's orders? Surely you can't be that stupid to believe yourselves capable of such a feat, dumb monsters.”- Alicia

“ It's actually as you said Alicia. We of the mage battalion serve directly under Clarion to fulfill his duties. We are nothing like the demons you've seen so far.”- person 5

“ AHAHAHA AHAHAHA. Nothing like the demons I've seen, you say? Let's test and see how you really are.”- Alicia

Alicia began to move forward as she began to draw out her magic. It proved unnecessary though as Majin decided to move right in front of her.

“ There's no need for you to deal with this madam Alicia. Leave these pests to me.”- Majin

“ Gravity Shots”

Majin summoned a barrage of black spheres and sent them to the enemy. Not a single shot missed their mark.

( Not bad. This guy may not use many spells but he's definitely a master.)- Felix

“ So this is the great magi Majin. Is this all that you're truly capable of?”- person 5

When the smoke cleared, it appeared that the 5 strangers were completely unharmed. After that, four of them began to bulge and rip their cloaks off, revealing a pair of massive serpent like creatures with massive arms and sturdy scales. The wounds that they received from Majin were already starting to heal.

“ Looks like this is going to be easier than we thought, right my magi demons?”- person 5

( Regenerative capability! This changes things!)- Alicia

“ Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am Sagari, the right hand of Sylvania’s head priest Clarion and leader of the magi battalion. Alicia, magi knights, I've come to take your heads.”- Sagari

“ Our heads?”- Nina

“ Originally, we were only after the head of the scarlet witch to keep her from adding power to the goddess of magic. To think you would all appear her saves me so much trouble. Now I'll kill you all and take your heads to master Clarion.”- Sagari

“ Pfft hahahaha, you take my head. What a laugh. You're Clarion's whipping boy right? So after I kill your mutts and beat you to a pulp, I have a message a want you to tell that punk. There's no one here that he can kill. I'll be visiting him soon to kick him in the balls. So take good care of them.”- Alicia

“ You-- you insolent! You dare to speak of master Clarion with such--!”- Sagari

“ Master, shmaster. Just shut up and take this.”- Alicia

Uh Alicia, you know we haven't--.”- Felix

“ Gigas lightning”

Alicia summoned bolts of electricity sent them towards Sagari and his gang. Startled, he tried to block it, only for it to bypass him and strike the magi demons. Unfortunately, the attack did no more than tickle them as they counteracted with magic blast from their mouths. Felix and everyone else dodged before blast could connect. Sadly the same couldn't be said for Nina's home.

“ Our house!”- Nina

“ Seriously? Why didn't my lightning have any effect.”- Alicia

“ Because we haven't done 'that' yet, genius!”- Felix

“ Crap, that's right.”- Alicia

“ Hah, your pathetic magic is nothing to these improved demons. You may have been strong 1000 years ago, but compared to now, you're out of your league. Go forth my magi demons. Destroy the village and eliminate Alicia and her gang.”- Sagari

The magi demons started going on a rampage, destroying everything they set their eyes on with magic blasts. Everyone was doing their best to evade.

( Geez, these freaks got some firepower!)- Alicia

“ HAHAHAHA, come now what happened to all that bravado you had earlier. This won't be fun if all you all do is run. Show how weak you are to my demons.”- Sagari

“ BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG,”

“What?”- Sagari

The demons began to concentrate fire on them. At this time Felix decided to go for a counterattack. Taking out his revolver, he concentrated some of his mana into the gun and fired a few shots. The bullets immediately exploded on impact, temporarily stopping the barrage. The surprise was present on both sides.

“ Felix? You? How did? What?”- Alicia

“ Well, you always wanted to know how it works.”- Felix

“ What an interesting magical tool. I've never seen anything like it.”- Majin

“ Your as amazing as always Mr Felix!’- Sakura

(This young Drake is really full of surprises.)- Nina

“ You! What kind of tool is that? How can it wield such power?”- Sagari

“ Oh wouldn't you like to know.”- Felix

“ Baah whatever, I'll just kill you and see it for myself.”- Sagari

( Geez that regenerations going to be a pain looks like I'll have to step it up before--)- Felix

“ THAT IS IT!”- Nina

“ Eh?”- Sagari

“ You dare to threaten me and my family? If you really wanna see the power of a magi knight, then I'll happily oblige!”- Nina

Nina's reaction shocked those present, especially Alicia. Nina began drawing enormous amount of mana until Thomas broke her concentration.

“ Nina, stop!”- Thomas

“ Honey?”- Nina

“ Don't use that power! We agreed that you would leave this life behind, remember?”- Thomas

“I….. Your right Thomas, I'm sorry. I won't use that power, okay?”- Nina

( You can't be serious.)- Felix

“ Oi what's with all this lovey dovey crap, we're in the middle of a fight! You're supposed to be a magi knight, so use your power!”- Sagari

The magi demons recovered from the attack and sent out a joint blast at everyone. Felix, seeing the blast coming, took his zeiwender and brought the blade down in an arc. The full strength of the swing split the attack right down the middle, sending it in alternate directions and saving his comrades. Nina wasn't so lucky. Due to being distracted by Thomas, she was caught unawares and didn't have time to alter the put up any resistance. That proved unnecessary though as Thomas took that time to get in front of her and take the blast full on, his body quickly incinerating.

“ Thomas!”- Nina

“ We'll always be together Nina.”- Thomas

As Nina holds his crumbling hand, she reminisces on the time they spent. From the time she found him, to the time she came back tired and bloody leaving him in tears, to the time he actually proposed to her and wanted to settle down. All this went through her head as his hand slowly turned to ash. “

“ AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH”- Nina

“ Nina!”- Alicia

“ This can't be!”- Sakura

“ Dang it!”- Felix

Nina's cries were heartclenching. Everyone had look of shock except Majin, who was doing a very good job of hiding it.

“ Hahahahah, now that was hilarious! What did that fool think that was going to accomplish?”- Sagari

“ NEEEEMEEEEEANNNNN SLASH”

“ Eh?”- Sagari

Sagari didn't even have time to comprehend what was going on as a massive lion appeared in front of him and sent him and his demons flying.

“ Now I'm angry!”- Felix

Majin came over to aid him, but when he saw the look in Felix's eye, he thought it best to keep his distance. Even Alicia and Sakura were surprised by Felix's strength. Sagari and his demons managed to recover from the attack, though they were a little unsteady.

“ You again! Just how many tricks do you have? That's it! You'll be the first one to join that terran! I hope you've prepared yourself.”- Sagari

“ The one that should be prepared is you.”- Alicia

“ Eh?”- Sagari

“ Booooom”

( This mana. Could it be?)- Felix

Massive amounts of mana began to rotate Nina. It was proof that she was ready to fight. Felix, knowing that she needed this, stayed his hand to let her vent. Meanwhile, Sagari was trying to keep himself from shivering.

( This presence! The way that it pulls the fear right out of me! I've only felt this way around anyone except lord Clarion!)- Sagari

“ You….are…. ..dead. YOU ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!”- Nina

Nina's face was like a waterfall as the tears ceased to stop. Even with all the tears in her eyes, the rage in her heart was more noticeable. Sagari new if didn't go all out, his death would be imminent.

“ Curse you scarlet witch, to think you could make new feel these emotions! I don't care if it's you or Alicia, with Clarion's power, you're all nothing!”- Sagari

With that, Sagari started to change. Muscles began to bulge and his face distorted. His body grew larger and scaly, his legs merged together to form a tail. When the tree transformation was complete, he looked exactly like the magi demons only with Black hair.

“ Behold my true form. Brace yourself magi, with the power this form provides, it it spells your doom.”- Sagari

“Shift”

Nina also got herself battle ready. Discarding her normal clothes, she covered herself with little armor and light fabric. It was very form fitting.

“ Hey don't copy me. Changing your outfit will do nothing. Go my brethren, attack!”- Sagari

The magi demons went on the offensive, moving at rapid speeds to eliminate Nina. However, this proved fruitless as they were pushed back by a shield. Completely unperturbed, Nina started chanting a spell.

“ Omni-barrier? Followed by a spellcast? As if I let it go your way! Quickly, eliminate her!”- Sagari

The demons tried to break the barrier, but to no avail. Nina completely disregarded them as she finished her spell.

“ Firestorm”

The spell created an explosion like a missile. If she didn't contain it, it would have destroyed half the town. When the smoke cleared away, there was nothing left of the demons.

“ I-Impossible! To destroy my demons in an instant like that? What kind of magic is this?”- Sagari

“ You really don't understand who the scarlet witch is do you? To have power that even I fear. To be the only one who can rival the great Alicia Rand Philistine. That's who the scarlet witch is!”- Nina

“ Can she really rival Alicia Majin.”- Felix

“ It's hard to say since I've never seen those two actually fight, but I know for a fact that there is no other knight with more offensive power than her.”- Majin

“ Hah, her as strong as me? In her dreams maybe! However, aside from me, there is no question that she's the strongest magi knight. With that said, what do you plan to do know, dog of Clarion?”- Alicia

“ Mmm?”- Sagari

“ You're team is dead and you're all alone. The only option left for you is to run away. Though being beaten by the mighty Alicia Rand Philistine and her magi knights is hardly that unexpected.”- Alicia

“ SCREW YOU! As if I'd be scared of a 1000-year old power! Don't think I'm the same as them! Now you will know the power of Sagari!”- Sagari

“ Earth Spikes”

( So his magic became more demonic when he merged!)- Alicia

Sagari imbued magic into his hands and slammed them into the ground. The spell caused big quake followed by massive spikes popping up from the ground. It moved in a straight direction towards Nina. Before the attack could reach though, Nina put her hand to the ground and raised up the earth around her completely halting the advance of spikes.

“ What? But-but how? With one hand!”- Sagari

“ Trying to fight the scarlet witch with earth magic? What an idiot.”- Alicia

“ I wanted to forget. All the battlefields, the blood, the lives taken away, I wanted to forget it all. But now I realized. For as long as I have this immortal crest that Alicia had bestowed on me, my destiny, my past, will never go away!

If it's impossible for me to rest, and if that led to Thomas's death, then I will return as the Scarlet Witch, the goddess of destruction!”- Nina

“ RRRRAAAHHHH! CURSE YOU SCARLET WITCH! I'M GOING TO OBLITERATE YOU”- Sagari

“ Infernal Blaze”

“ Hey, isn't that?”- Felix

“ Moron, just adding fuel to the fire.”- Alicia

Summoning a massive ball of fire, got in close and made sure to hit her at point blank range.

“HAHAHAHAHA, what do you think of that? The power of the strongest flame spell, inferno blaze!”- Sagari

“You truly are an amatuer.”- nina

“Eh?”- sagari

“Allow me to show you what a true flame is.”- nina

“Blazing Phoenix”

“WHAT. NOOOOO.”- sagari

Calling upon an enormous amount of mana, Nina summoned forth a massive fiery flame the took the shape of a falcon. This bird gave off an aura of absolute majesty. It held everyone in awe. Even Felix was impressed by the sight of such power. Only Alicia maintained her composure like it was expected. The flames completely consumed Sagari, incinerating him to nothing.

“Im...poss...ible! A...terran...can...wield….such….power!”- sagari

With Sagari defeated, the battle completely came to a close. Nina stood alone on the battlefield with the flames smoldering around her. Alicia took that to appear in front of her. She had a cold expression on her face, but if you looked carefully you could see traces of sorrow.

“Cry scarlet witch. You have earned the right to do so. So cry.”- alicia

(So she really can be sympathetic. The more I see of you Alicia, the more intriguing you appear. The reason my brother spared still eludes me.)- felix

Nina finally looked up and turned towards Alicia. What she saw shocked her, for what was on Nina face were now tears of blood.

“Cry, you want me to cry Alicia? I can no longer cry. I have run out tears to let me cry.”- nina

“N-nina!”- alicia

“ I will cry these tears of blood no more. I am no longer the wife of a weak terran. And I have no one left to protect in this town no more. All I have now is this overwhelming power and this immortal crest that represents my very being. I ask you Alicia Rand Philistine, will accept this scarlet witch once again.”- nina

“Yes, I will accept you. Nina Delta, the Scarlet Witch, I will take you under me once again. As long as we’re together, I’ll make sure you never have to cry again.”- alicia

Alicia’s words put a little Nina’s heart at ease. A small grin slowly made its way to her face. With that everyone was able to relax a little. Felix hoped that the scar in her heart would be able mend with time. He truly did feel sorry for her loss, knowing how painful it is to loose his family. But for now that would have to wait. Reminding everyone that the town was still in flames, Felix and his friends, now including Nina, headed out. Before tagging along, Nina took one last look at the smoldering remains of what used to be her house.

“Farewell Thomas.”- nina
