《The Survival of the Prince》Prologue

The clouds rage, hatefully bombarding the earth with their luggage. This storm envelops a mansion, and shadows darken the vestibule of Albent manor. Inside two persons, one man standing in front of a door, and one woman standing across from him, discuss with solemn faces their business.

The man, hair messy, eyes sunken into his skull and lined with bags one could see even in this dim room continues to stand across from her. While looking in any direction but the woman's eyes, he asks, "Is there truly no other way? Is this really right, is he going to be okay?"

The woman catches and then looks straight into his eyes. She then unflinchingly responds, "Unless you want him to die, this is what must be done, do you understand?"

"Yes, yes – it's just-"

"We don't have time for this Walter, I must begin now, or he won't stand a chance, so could you please just move your sorry self out of the way," she says while making towards the door, and Walter stops her one more time.

"I know I've been a bother, but," Walter takes a big sigh and looks straight into the woman's eyes, "please just, please save my son Ivona, okay?"

Ivona looks at him for a moment and opens the door. "That's why I'm here, isn't it?", with her final piece said and done, she enters the doorway, leaving a concerned duke Albent behind.
