Ominous laughter echoing between a lush forest, countless grins and eyes with various size emanating strange glows, give eerier vibe in this creepy night. After the cloud which covered the moonlights disappear, presences of those horrendous grin owners are slowly become apparent — green goblins, trolls, orcs and many monsters looking towards one direction.

Far from where those monsters stand, a man run for his life — his breaths are erratic and his faces pale because of lack the blood. Occasionally, he stumbles because of trench and root growing from the trees and his wounds worsening in each stumble. He understands that this is a hopeless circumstance — those monsters already encircle this forest. He can’t break out from their encirclement even with his full strength — however, he already made promises to keep living and felt indebted to everyone — to carrying their dreams.

He was a loser — no — he still is. He’s not as strong as those heroes, he’s not as smart as those strategists, he just a lucky survivalist which gained many favors from those great people — a lucky coward. He would be very embarrassed to meet them later if he doesn’t even try to run and lay his life to those monster for free instead.

He’s touching on his ear canal and whispers, “show me my basic status.” When he mumbles those words, series of holographic sentences appear on his retina.

Name: Elias

Rank: Green Level

Strength: 78.2(14.2)

Stamina: 54.1(87.1[Yellow])

Agility: 79.3(34.1)

Perception: 90.1(11.1[Yellow])

Magic: 12.1[Yellow](0.1[Yellow])

Mana: 7.2(56[Colorless])

He notices that four of his base status fallen to the lower level and his mana basically depleted already. He realizes that it’s impossible for him to escape from those monsters — to be honest, the odds of his escape is minuscule even at his full strength.

But so what, where will he put his face when meeting those great people later if he doesn’t even dare try something — he inherited their dreams, he's bearing weights of his promises, and he’s carrying the burden all humanity.

He runs without looking back with determination filled his eyes, the howl of those approaching monster doesn’t make him frightened. He isn’t running because of his survival instinct or afraid of death — His last oath that makes him run even though he wants to embrace his death and reunite with those people.

His persistence is admirable even for those monsters and the person behind them, they pursue him all nights but there no sign of stopping even though he fatally injured. However, just persistence isn’t enough to survive in this world. His oath, his pride, and his friends’ lives are a joke in front of absolute strength.

His run halted after seeing many pulsating reddish light particles appear in front of him, a man emerges between those particles of lights with a frown on his face — disgruntle after looking at his low level of strength.

“So, the last human is just in the green level — this is very disappointing.”

That man says that with a low voice, but he can hear those words in his current level of perception stats. He noticed that the man is facing him with a dispirited expression as though he hesitates whether to kill him or not — he knows that isn't because of his pity or kindness. That man wants to give him hope and kill him after he thought that he has hope to survive — that’s how they got their points for their twisted game.

“Do you want me to give you a way out?” that man asks with a convincing tone.

That man is looking at his expression, observing any sign of hope on his face. However, there no sign of what he wants will appear sooner or later. He sighs, “whatever then, at least I will get some points after killing you.”

“Is there any last words.”

“Die.”

“What an unoriginal last word,” that man chortles after hearing his words, but soon he realizes something wrong from his curled smile and attempts to run from where he stands.

“Too late for you — Grand Duke Shi'za.”

*Boom* *Boom*

Series of explosion noises appear inside this forest, those explosions originating from where he stands, this is his plan to kill humanity archenemy with himself — the last human — as a bait. From the beginning, he never desires to leave from this place alive, there is nothing awaits him even if he can get out unscathed from this hellish place. However, it'll be a great sin if he dies without bringing as many enemies as possible.

Shi'za angry last expression is priceless, he hopes can take his picture and bring it to show his friend who awaits him in the afterlife. However, he knows that is impossible, and he chooses to savor this very moment — the greatest moment in his life.

At this moment — the monsters’ confused screaming resonate in this looming blaze of fire. At this moment — the greatest evil known for humanity perish because of one person.

At this moment — the human race finally extinct.

Before the blazing fire, his tears flow because of an emotional outburst, remembering his flashing life, “Everyone, This time is my turn to rest.”

He wants to get his final rests peacefully, but human comfort is the least concern for the string of fate. Human let out their plans, but it's heavens who decides.
