Chapter 11: matial arts

[Zion]: 3rd layer wow! And i feel a lot stronger as well i feel so light, i can't believe that by refining the 'rank 3' lighting core can give me this much power, then fighting that monster is really worth it, i wish there's more of them here,

(Lightning energy) = yellow lvl3

(fire energy) = red lvl1

(wind energy) = green lvl2

(Water energy) = blue lvl4

(Poison energy) = purple lvl1

My dream of becoming an OP character is starting to come to fruition, hahahaha

[Lupa]: hey! Stop acting like an idiotic crazy person, if you're done, fill this pond with water, and i need your help with making fire for our food...

Filling the artificial small pond with water, i also started to collect some wood from our stack to make some fire...

[Zion]: hey Lupa, do you have any idea how far along are we till the exits?

[Lupa]: hmmm i've been trying to find out about it as well but for some reason i can't sense it, it may be because this place is really big, or my earth sense skill is not strong enough, or it can be both... [Lupa]: i know! And you should be training like hell, after all our survival depends on you! By the way did you learn anything new about [Skal]?

After all it's an artifact left by a fallen god, to be able to completely control it, i imagine you need a super huge amount of will power to able to accomplish that, your will power will increase naturally as you get stronger so all you have to do is get stronger..

[Zion]: well i kinda figured that out, for that i need to hunt more monster, oh and Lupa, i never ask this before, but are there any martial arts i can learn in the outside world? I mean if.

[Lupa]: of coarse! Just so you know my race love collecting ancient knowledge and martial arts skills is one of them..

[Zion]: huh?

[Zion]: "angry" you stupid midget! Here i am fighting for our life and you did not even mention that? Did it never occur to you that i can use that to better protect our lives?

[Lupa]: (with a smile on his face) first what kind of martial arts you prefer?

[Zion]: well... I'm not really familiar with what kind of martial arts you have! Can you tell me the kind of martial arts you can teach me?

[Lupa]: hmmm well for starters, martial arts is is divided into into 4 categories

1: magic arts

2: combat arts

3: control arts

And 4: martial cultivation, for magic arts anything that uses mana can be considered magic arts, like spells and enchanting that's magic arts, and anything that uses internal energy or battle qi falls in the category of combat arts. And for control arts it uses both mana and soul energy, those combined enegry was used to control puppet or golems, some people claims control arts fall in the category of magic arts but those who practice the control arts denies it.. Well up until today people still debate about those useless things.. And as for martial cultivation hmmm... it is considered as the most powerful martial arts, but unlike the the rest where you can learn as long as you are willing to study it, martial cultivation can't be learn just because you want to... For it requires one to have a soul that's connected to the world, well to make it easier to understand, if you want to learn martial cultivation you must have a ability to control your soul...

[Zion]: control soul? Then what about those control arts practitioner they use their soul for making puppets right? So can they be considered martial cultivators?

[Lupa]: huh! of course not! Control arts uses spells to remove a piece of their soul to use as a catalyst for puppet or golem making, they can't even see their soul, much less control it.. Martial cultivators requires one to connect their senses to see and control their soul, and thats not something you learn, it's something you're born with, maybe in the future someone will find a way to connect their senses to their soul but that method is not found yet... And by the way you are considered a martial cultivator!

[Zion]: huh? I'm a martial cultivator?

[Lupa]: of course, didn't you say you can see those elemental rings in your inner body? Thats your senses connecting with your soul those ring are inside your soul, and that makes you a martial cultivator, you are in beginners stage in fact you're not even considered beginner, for one to be considered beginner one need to be able to control their soul to sense the natural energy in the world and gather that energy into your body to form a martial core, you'll be considered a rank 1 martial cultivator.. So with all that said, what kind of martial arts you need? of course cultivation method is a given, so what else do you need?

[Zion]: "whats with the quick change of... Che.. Nevermind" i see... there's many kind as well... Well for now what i need most is how to better cultivate, and any movement specialize martial arts will be a big help in our current state!

[Lupa]: cultivation method and movement arts hmmm... Give me a moment i need to meditate on this so i can find the best kind....

Immediately he fly back to his side of the camp..

[Lupa]: don't disturb me!

[Zion]: hmm.. Martial cultivation heh heh heh this world is really similar those xanxia novel i've read before i'll try controlling my soul later... (Grrrr..) damn i'm hungry... I guess i do the cooking for now

After cooking and eating some food... A few hours has passed but Lupa still hasn't come out.. So i started practicing on how to control my soul better.... And just like that 2 days has passed...

[Zion]: whew! Finally i can control my soul to detect the surrounding natural energy, but absorbing it into my body is a different issue... Well lupa isnt back yet so i guess i'll hunt for now.

Hunting some rank 1 and rank 2 monster, cooking, eating, cultivating.... And just like that 10more days has passed...

[Zion]: heh heh heh success! "Putting my hands on the air" finally i was able to form my martial core... It took me 5 days to finally able to absorb natural energy, and another 5 days to form a martial core but the core is not complete yet a little bit more to solidified it..

3 days later my body started to shake and a huge amount of black smelly liquid pours out of my body through my sweat glands, this process takes about 30 or so minutes.. Afterwards i open my eyes and everything change, my eyesight become more clearer like i can see an ants in 100 or so meters so clearly not to mention i'm in a cave and it's quite dark here, so one can only imagine how much my eyesight improved, and i feel so light like i can jump a 100 meters with no problem.. If only i'm not in the cave i would have done so, my physical strength has increased greatly im atleast 10x stronger and faster now...

[Zion]: so this is what it feels like to be a martial cultivator, it's a lot better than what i thought it would be heh heh heh, amazing and i'm only in beginners stage, imagine if i advance more maybe i'll be able to fly as well heh heh heh sweet! Huh?

[Lupa]: "staring! What the hell is this idiot thinking now" huh? No way? Did he just manage to form a martial core in this short time?

[Zion]: Oh Lupa, my handsome friend you're finally done meditating welcome back heh heh heh...

So i sit cross legged in front of Lupa, then he touch my forehead with his finger... And a huge amount of information is being downloaded in my brain...

[Lupa]: relaxed and let the information flows through you naturally do not resist... And A reminder the cultivation methods i share with you, you can only choose one after choosing one don't ever try to practice the other, if you do it will lead to all sorts of problem with your cultivation in the future, all other arts that you didn't choose will disappear after a while, now just relaxed and let your soul absorbed the information you need naturally...

[Zion]: this is amazing! Right i go meditate right away...

Going back to my side of the camp i sit crossed legged above my makeshift bed, and started cultivating, right away i found the information Lupa passed into me, [twelve divine step] cultivation art, just like the name implies it has twelve rank, 1st step *divine senses* so this is the first step, to form your divine senses, [shadow shift] agility art, wow this is amazing....

There's a lot of information and method regarding the skill, no... it's more like a memory of all the previous owner of the skill is being transferred into my soul, it's like watching a movie about the previous owner of the skill the way he use it the way he execute the skill, but the more i watch the more i become the one doing the skill, it's very mysterious i don't know how long i stayed in that zone but i keep on watching until i'm confident i can use the skill easily....

[Zion]: (opening my eyes i've got a huge smile on my face) amazing.. (Closing my eyes again and i started to execute the first step of the [twelve divine step] *divine senses*)

Forming a divine senses is easy executing the skill is a different story, even with all the knowledge and experience embedded in My soul i still find it hard to do.. Extending my soul so i can feel and see my surrounding, without using my eyes, i find it quite hard maybe because i'm originally from a place where this kind of thing is impossible to do, instead of saying i lack skill to do it it's more like my mind is preventing me from doing it, because my mind find it illogical... But with some perseverance i was able to it, although i can only perceive a few meters around me, i was still able to execute it, so i was very happy, but also very tired, executing the skill requires a lot of energy, Immediately i started the second function of *divine senses* and that is to sense the natural energy around me, and to circulate it around my body and eventually creating a martial core, but since i already have a martial core, all i did is to practice on how to circulate the energy faster, so this is right way to form a martial core, but still to think i was able to form a core without relying on cultivation art am i considered a genius? Heh heh heh... I need to master this as soon as possible...

[Lupa]: hmmm that guy is quite amazing, to think he manage to form a martial core on his own without any cultivation art and in just a few days... Maybe just maybe he maybe able to fulfill my race greatest wish...
