As Wava settled down I went back to my desk and took out some chalk and started to write on the board.
“Ok Wava tell me what is the first response to an injury?”
As i wrote the question on the board she seemed to mumble but then answered.
“Well when someone is injured you cast a heal spell ,the spell's strength ranging from how much damage is taken.”
Hearing this answer I grinned. “Your answer is corrected but also incorrect.”
“What do you mean sensei?”
With this I started to write out my response.
“When looking at an injury of any kind you need to answer 4 questions
1 Is it life threatening?
2 Can the patient be moved without causing damage
3 Do I know the cause of the injury
And last but not least Is magic the correct answer for treatment?”
With this statement Wava tilted her head to the side.
“Um why not use magic right off the bat and heal the person?”
Putting the chalk down i began to explain to her.
“Magic in it pure form is able to follow the image of what the caster has in mind while this can heal someone completely you have to have a very vivid image to make it work.
When a mage uses a fire spell they imagine what a flame looks like and how they want the flame to acted causing the spell to be different from another mage who sees fire a different way,
For example if I told a dwarf mage from the northern end of the continent so summon a wall of ice his wall would show a thicker more powerful affected because of the cold environment he lives in, While asking a dwarf from the south who lives in a warmer climate who has never seen a glacier.”

Taking a pause from my words Wava nodded her head.
“So by the same law does healing magic work if a doctor or shaman that has seen many injuries and knows how they are caused and knows what effect they had on the person uses that magic the person's wounds will most likely be completely healed compared to someone who just healed with magic right off the bat.”
Hearing my explanation Wava’s eyes went wide
“I never thought of it that way...teacher knows a lot about magic.”
*Well really I just asked Appraisal about it so I wouldn't mess up*
“Magic is great for small injuries and cuts but unless you know about the anatomy & physiology of the person it is better to do it naturally even wild animals that can use magic will save the magic for emergencies and let nature heal their wounds.”
Looking at her I could see that this train of thought never crossed her mind in how to manage her use of healing magic.
“The rest of today’s class we will talk about the anatomy & physiology of a human as a base we will begin with how the human skeleton is built this will be the base for most two legged races you will come across in your life.
Turning his back to Wava he began to draw the human skeleton and explain what each group of bones did. In the mind of Wava her thoughts began to open to the ideas of our modern medicine this unknowingly to Mora would cause her to become a Saint to the people around her and make her an important figure in the decades to come

The saying goes that when a man is born the Fates weave his destiny and swaddle him in it. Then one day the man dies, and the swaddle becomes a shroud. Heaven moves on. It is audacity to question the Fates. Olympus is Olympus. The land of men is the land of men. To transgress that, to cross the line of divinity and scale Olympus Mons? To defy the Fates and cast off their threads? That is hubris. It’s a mark that every philosopher bears plainly on their soul. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
