《The Bilgewater Battle Royale》Author Update (will delete)

First of all, apologies for the hiatus, and not updating the description to sow that the regular schedule has been updated.
The Writathon, I thought, was a chance for me to prove to myself that I could write as fast, reaching some of the crazy figures I saw from some people. Though I enjoyed the initial experience of pushing myself, I found that I kept looking back to check others’ progress, and developed a bad mental on the “success” of this story.
This, along with some publisher interest in my other works, life stuff and an impromptu trip forced me to take time away from this story.
SO WHAT NOW?
The Battle Royale will continue! Soon. I’m looking at the start of June.
I have a few chapters backlogged, but I want to gain a solid momentum before I commit to a regular schedule again. Likely, this will be just once a week. I may occasionally post an extra chapter here or there, but I wouldn’t count on it.
The thing is, this story means a lot to me. Although its technically fanfiction -with erratic POVs -and melodramatic as shit- it is my love letter to not only League, but so much of my time spent among internet communities. Twitch and youtube. Reddit and random Discords. Now that I’m at the point in my life where my -once hugely farsighted- career goals are slowly becoming a reality, I know I’ll have to leave behind my youth (as well as early to mid adulthood, don’t kid yourself) behind.
I’d like something to remember it by. I’d like to honour the experiences, in the only way I know how; In the form of a highly convoluted, complex, but satisfying and goddamn epic story. And if possible, I’d like to finish it by the end of the year.
See y’all soon,
Sleepless

A Necromancer's Village

Have you ever wondered what the blind actually see? For Damon, he can't even answer that question. He's been totally blind since birth. He has no concept of light or dark, no colours from which to reference. How is he meant to describe something when he has no visual context to work from. To him it's simply an abyss, or at least he thinks it is.. He doesn't actually know what an abyss looks like. But from the sounds of it, that's as close as he's gonna get to actually knowing what he sees. That is, until he enter's King's Wrath. Welcome one and all to Damon's story as he gains his sight after entering a game in which he must work hard to stay alive and fight to keep the one thing that will let him see what all other's take for granted. I am a first time writer and if you have any tips or if you spot any mistakes please let me know, as I will endeavour to make this story as shiny and polished as possible. Happy Reading!
8 84Gameworld
Twenty years ago something had happened. The land and everything in it had changed. Magic was real and Technology was limited. New Races arose from the old and everyone was brought to an even playing field. Everyone starts at level 1 and levels up from there. Most folks will choose their class by level 5 and begin to grind out higher levels as they struggle to survive. Omachiw was different, half human and half elf he had been raised by the Elves he had once hunted. With no class and no family, he has become a jack of all trades, trying to survive in a world that had turned into a game. Based in part in the city of Regina in the Province of Saskatchewan Canada. This is a gritty urban fantasy story with horror elements set in a game world.

Taryn is a mutant in a world where mutants are considered no more than monsters in human skin. The descendants of the gods rule as mortal Kings and the entire world waits for their fates to be decided in the prophesied battle between the Last Lothor King and the mutants’ Dark Prince. But Taryn believes this is all fantasy, born from legends and myth. There are no gods; only mutants who don’t know how to use their abilities, and middlings who are too afraid to even think that they should learn. Taryn is determined to change that. Her plan is a simple one: win the King to her cause and the faiths of the masses will compel them to follow. It should have been an easy enough task; the King doesn’t seem to believe in the prophecies any more than she does. But soon the ambitions of a criminal empire, the plots of warmongering officials and the looming threat of a violent faith movement begin to erode their fragile relationship and derail her plans. Can the two of them reconcile in time to prevent a civil war or will their inability to work together bring about the very thing they’ve fought so hard to avoid?
