Hello guys, this is my first story so take it easy on me, also the first few chapters might be more of an info dump than a real chapter, the reason for that is this the first semi-arc .
The big arc will start after chapter 6.
Please give a big thumbs up for Nexus Wolf since he edited the story :D
Book 1 > Semi-Arc – The start
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The planet Azeroth, which is a temporary placeholder name, is a terrestrial planet in a thinly populated solar system with only nine other planets.
Azeroth is about 37.5 times bigger than Earth and its gravity is about 6.18 times that of Earth.
A single day lasts 46.76 hours and a year lasts 322 days. The planet is made up of 4 continents, which makes up 38% of the planet's landmass.
5 moon(s) orbit the planet and Azeroth itself orbits a red sun in a fairly circular orbit.
The plant-like organisms on this planet are made up of trees and flowers, with only a few dozens of the grass species, an even lesser number of the bush species and almost no brush and fungi species. Although the grass species are few in number, they grow fast, covering wide areas. The trees and flowers cover a lot more, and because they use up most of the nutrients, other species like shrubs and fungi haven't been able to grow a lot.
In terms of development and specialization, the species on this planet aren't very impressive, but their shapes and colors make for astonishing natural works of art and many already show great promise for a highly specialized natural balance in the distant future. They also have astonishing secrets that make up for their weakness in science.
The underwater plants are also very basic. The steps to higher, more specialized organisms are slowly being taken, but it will take thousands of years before we'll be able to see more variation in the planet's underwater life.
With the exception of a few very basic insect and fish species, this planet is the home to the 4 species which live on the 4 main continents.
In the southern continent, we have the Demon race which is in control of the southern continent. The Demon race consists of many different species which are unique in their own way. There were the Succubi, the Imps, the Goblins, the Vampires, the Taurens and many other species.

In the western continent, we have the Devil race ruling over the western continent. The Devil race consists of many different species which are unique in their own way. The Lamias, Liches, Valkyries, were only a few of the various species.
In the eastern continent, we have the Human race, presiding over eastern continent. The Human race unlike the others is a single race, but they are also the weakest amongst the other races. But they make up for their lack of power with their higher numbers.
In the northern continent, we have the Beast race, in control of the north continent. The Beast race unlike the other races which were all humanoid, were different, as they were like animals, animals who had gained intelligence over the years, because of how the continent was made and due to the number of nutrients they had gotten. Because of this, they were enormous in size and their power rose above the other races, thanks to their higher ability to sense the qi in the world.
This world, unlike earth, relies on its dense qi, allowing the races to sense it.
The qi allows the people to make their own body stronger and more powerful. It was this qi that allowed the Beast race to develop intelligence. This qi also helps the races to move to a lot faster and it is because of this qi that this world is dominated by the strong, while the weak can only stay at the side and keep their opinion in their hearts.
The world only pays attention to the strong while paying no heed to the weak. If you are weak then you are nothing but trash in the eyes of the people in the world.
In the Human continent, there is a small country called Lessau.
The country of Lessau was an average-sized country with a population of 542764 humans. It was located between the woodlands to the North, the rough beaches to the South, the frozen lands to the East and the hills to the West. The country of Lessau mainly lives off of woodcrafting, animal breeding, and hunting.
Lessau itself is mainly covered with large hills with an arctic climate, which has lead to a loosely concentrated population, despite the number of people. Most of them lived in tiny villages.

The country's landscape is depressing; dried up lakes; fierce rock formations and forgotten farmlands are just a sliver of the aridity Lessau has to offer, which is why the country is shirked among foreigners.
The people of Lessau are kind towards foreigners and tend to welcome them with heartiness. They feel foreigners could popularize the country's well-being.
Lessau has loose laws and law enforcement, which is fairly normal. The people are calm due to their gentle nature, thanks to the fortunate climate.
This is also reflected in the country's flag, which has five vertical stripes in orange, dark pink, dark blue and gray. Their coat of arms is a cat on a triangle.
In the north of the country, there was a city named Embercrest.
The city of Embercrest was built atop emerald hills of grass and is truly a fully modernized urban phenomenon. Its beauty is matched by the backdrop of an abundance of hills which have helped shape the city to what it is today.
The materials these hills brought were of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built in various round shapes and sizes, which mimics the playfulness of the hills around them.
The skyline was covered with unique skyscrapers, as they clearly show what they represent to the city itself. Recreation is unmatched in Embercrest and it has attracted a lot of attention. Many new cultures have left their mark not just on the city's people, but also upon the city's identity. What historically was a city of plain, ordinary people has grown into a multicultural hub and it is this that unites the 100 thousand people to this day.
It's this multicultural identity that has truly left its mark. Hundreds of restaurants, bistros, and food carts offer a plethora of culinary choices and those who feel hungry for something else can enjoy aerobics, nature, dance or one of the many other recreational venues.
In Embercrest there was a man walking around, as he man gazed at the sky with his deep azure eyes, his black long hair carried by the wind as it moved from one side to the other.
He seemed to be about 18 years of age and his features were above average, his height was 182cm while his body was not that muscular but he did have an average build.
Despite everything else, the clothes he had on showed his status in the city.
What was once a shirt is now a gross, tattered home to lice and dirt, hanging from one of his shoulders like a discarded old rag.
A big piece has been ripped from the right side and there are holes all over, leaving much of him exposed to the elements.
He wore a worn out fleece over his shirt. It was in relatively good condition excluding the holes, but at least it helps him stay warm, even if only a little.
His pants were just as bad. There were holes all over the bottom part and there was a big tear on the right side. But at least he had shoes to protect his feet. Although they were tattered, the shoes were a little too big and there were holes in the right side of the right shoe.
He wore a scarf around his neck and had it wrapped around his face up to his nose. It was torn and slightly stained, but otherwise in a decent condition.
His head was covered by a bandana, with a few small stains here and there, but otherwise in a relatively great condition.
As he looked at the sky he closed his eyes, as he opened his mouth."Mom, Dad, the day has come...I can finally show this world my true self!" He shouted to the sky opening his eyes which showed the great determination burning within them.

The Guide
Leon Octavian Sirus was the head scientist of the Median Empire’s department of artificial intelligence. He tried to play god by creating a world with true sentient life, though virtual. It is still a world with people that can learn, think, and feel and as always that action had consequences and one of them was his death by his own creations. Despite commiting a grevious taboo, his world was succesful enough that instead of burning in the depths of hell, which is what this sociopath deserves, he is given the chance by his own world's guide to guide a race in a young world. P.S. This awesome cover was made by the more awesome MikeWe.
