《The Party's Tank is a Masochistic Trap》Chapter 3.3: Four Fables and a Crown

Magenta lightning electrocuted air around its dead black eyes. Behind, its long slender violet body slithered as it maintained its flight. It spat the pig it had been carrying onto a side and shrieked so sharply, all of them had to cover their ears.
The cloud charger.
"It's already here!" Onyx swung his sword only to be evaded. "These things are smart. It's gonna be taking the fight to the sky. We might not have a choice but to follow."
Faolan opened his wings and hopped to fly. "An aerial battle it is."
Kirin pulled himself up, recovering from being zapped. "I can draw its attention! Maybe it'll stay low!"
"It won't matter. Cloud chargers fight with long range attacks. Even if you catch its attention, we'll still have to fly to get to it." Onyx could merely watch as Faolan began throwing slashes at the beast. "Alia!"
"Yes." The lady opened her palms. "Purple Emperor Magic! Amethyst Wings!"
A magic circle spun behind Onyx, creating a pair of butterfly wings on his back. He leaped and fluttered, rushing an attack.
The monster flew higher then slipped into a cloud.
"Sky King's--"
"Don't follow it." Onyx warned as Faolan was about to chase. "Being in a cloud with that thing is suicide."
Magenta dyed the charger's cloud, making it dimmer and dimmer. Then after a while, it began spritzing electricity, and, soon, bolts of lightning that cracked the air and tracked both Faolan and Onyx.
They dodged quick and yet barely avoided.
Kirin summoned his magic. "It'll matter. I'll be taking in all of its attacks so you can focus on slicing it up. Vampire Magic! Moon's Whisper!"
A single pulse shot at the cloud.
"Tsk." Onyx clicked his tongue. "You just wanna know how painful that lightning is. There's no limit to your thirst, is there?"

"Craaaaa!" The monster reemerged with a glare ready to skewer Kirin.
"Alright!" Faolan brandished his blade and aimed for the charger's body.
Onyx flew over the beast's head and dove for a stab.
The charger slithered, avoiding both attacks. "Craa!"
More bolts of lightning streaked from the charged cloud. This time coming for only Kirin.
Just what he wanted.
He spread his arms exposing his chest, ready to take it all in. Ready for the lightning. Ready to be electrocuted! For the pain. For the pleasure!
The lightning neared and neared. So quickly, and yet, so slowly, as time felt as though it was holding up Kirin's happiness.
"Sponge Magic! Absorb!" casted a heavily accented boy's voice.
At a point only a foot away from Kirin's face, the lightning paused, crackled for a second, and then changed direction to seep into the palm of a yellow-haired boy in a loose robe.
Behind him, a brute, who seemed to have forgotten to wear a top, leaving his disgustingly packed muscles out sweating under daylight, had his arms crossed and his teeth lined in a grin.
They were both standing on the back of a fat levitating creature resembling a walrus. With tusks protruding out its whiskered snout and quills adorning the front of its skull. It had front limbs, yet no backs, but had a finned feathery tail sluggishly beating up and down. A juggill.
"Hey! What's the big idea?! That was my lightning!" Kirin barked.
"Wismer! Skell!" The blond boy called.
Did... he just ignore Kirin?! "H-Hey!"
"On it, Master!" A long-haired, armored man appeared from vapor in the air. "Water Magic! Drip Shells!"
Wet, fan-shaped projectiles shot at the cloud charger's skin.
"Jelly Aces!" Another knight, one with glowing hair and glowing armor, fell from the sky and hacked his blade.

Arrow-shaped bullets soared towards the beast.
Faolan flew in the drip shells and jelly aces' path and batted them all away one by one. "Coral Crown! This is Fable Eclipse's quest. We don't need your assistance."
"Craaaaa!"
Lightning flashed, heading for Kirin once more.
Great! It was still targeting him.
"Absorb!" The blond boy casted once again. "Your quest, huh? Then why are we the ones doing it?"
Onyx was about to stab the charger when that water knight materialized and deliberately bumped him away.
"Oops! Sorry about that." The water knight guffawed and evaporated.
"Nebby!" Alia shouted. "We're the ones who took the quest from the guild hall. You can leave this to us!"
"Oh?" The blond boy simpered, wickedness glimmering on his eyeballs. "You useless bunch, Why don't you leave instead? Seeing as you can't do anything but just gawk here anyway."
"But..." Alia looked down.
"Shota," escaped the word from Kirin's mouth.
"Huh?" The blond boy raised an eyebrow.
"You're a shota!"
"What are you talking about?"
"A shota! One of a trap's greatest rivals in the race for dominance over the fetishists population! Taboo, suggestive, young ch--"
"Don't you dare even say it!!!" The boy roared. "I'm twenty-four, you imbecile."
"Gasp." A shiver trailed Kirin's spine. "You can keep trying to call me an imbecile all you want. I'll never be turned on. Ugh! Your existence should seriously be illegal in all universes."
"Turned--I'm of lega--"
"Say no more." Kirin shook his head. "I can very clearly see you're not of age. Your robes don't even fit you yet."
"Haaa?!" The blonde boy quickly picked up the drooping hems of his garments. "I-Idiot! Robes are naturally loose!"
"I can't tell if your voice is cracking or stuttering. Is puberty finally hitting you, perhaps?"
"I'm not a teenager!!!"
"Shall I crush her for you, Master?" The brute behind him asked.
"F-Forget it! She's not what we came here for. Just finish this quest up."
"Understood. Axle, end this!" The brute commanded.
Faolan and Onyx were both swinging endlessly at the cloud charger, but the beast was just far too squirmy to hit. That, of course, did not stop either of them, but another knight who appeared from nowhere did.
A cool-looking, pink-haired guy in ocean blue armor used his blade to summon four spinning swirls of liquid that cut the cloud charger to five seamless slices.
After that, he vanished once again.
Onyx and Faolan could only watch confounded.
"Allow us to help ourselves." The water knight appeared over the nest, snatched all three eggs, then teleported to the juggill's back.
"Wismer!" Alia called.
The juggill chomped on the cloud charger's body before gravity could drag it to the houses below.
"Thanks guys!" The blond boy huffed sinister laughs. "This quest was really fun! Geehee. We'll be seeing you around, Table Ellipse!"
Fable Eclipse basked in damaged pride and growing frustration as Coral Crown flew off.
Onyx and Faolan gritted their teeth.
Alia looked on with sad eyes.
Kirin, very slowly comprehending that series of events, blinked twice.
What had just happened?

Leaves of Terranthir
DISCONTINUED - I won't be writing more of this fiction. Check out the latest post for a worlbuilding summary / final thoughts. Leaves of Terranthir is a gamelit blend of ARPG, action, fantasy, and slice of life. It's inspired in part by some of my favourite games, borrowing in themes, sense of exploration, and aesthetics from the Soulsborne and soulslike genre, mixed heavily with arpg itemization from Diablo/PoE style games. While many may remember their Soulslike experiences as nothing more than suffering, I personally loved the sense of progression, to prevail over challenges and monsters that seemed impossible to defeat at first. If any of that seems interesting to you, do check out the first chapter and let me know what you think. Cheers, and thanks for reading. Cover by Baconstrap.

Flight of the Princess Sage [hiatus]
Ancient witch Aurora by making use of complex soul magic reincarnates as the Duke and royal head magician's daughter Lavenna Mehliac in another world. As she grows up she finds many irregularities with this new world's magic system. Watch her unravel the mysteries of her new world's magic, gods and fallen civilizations, change the world around her and search the multiverse for her beloved. Hey there! It's my first novel, so any feedback and criticism are welcome. Decided to write this story to get it off my head. What to expect here: World-building (at least I will try to do my best to flesh out the magic system, the multiverse, the ancient civilizations etc. I don't really know about politics though), Many character backstories, amateur writing, yuri, OP protagonist, ruthless/borderline evil protagonist. What not to expect: Harem, RPG system, regular releases. I'll try to finish the story to the end but can't really promise anything. Chapters will be released when I have the time to write them which I don't have much of.
