CHAPTER 7.
As soon as I passed through the event horizon or whatever the swirling lights were, I felt a strong and irresistible heaviness come over me.
The room at the other end was massive like a cathedral-like structure with red glowing hieroglyphs on the walls. Statues of various mythical creatures lined the walls and I noticed immediately that the large space had no windows.
Suddenly a sharp pain filled my eyes and I began to cough, pain filled my lungs as I found it hard to breathe. My muscles strained under the pressure and I felt myself buckling to my knees, pressure and pain steadily increasing all over my body.

I slumped to my knees as I felt a great weight on my bones. The sharp pain moved to my chest and my vision began to blur. My nostrils flared in a futile attempt to absorb more oxygen from my environment.
I turned to the vampire and tried to ask for help but I could say nothing through the spasms of pain moving through my lungs. The vampire watched me with cold hungry eyes, an expression of joy on her face, like she was feeding off my anguish. My muscles began to contract and soon I was unable to control my vocal chords. I finally slumped with my face on the floor as consciousness began to leave me.

Just as I was about to fade into unconsciousness, my body was jerked upwards and my jaws forced open as a cool liquid entered my mouth. I continued to spasm uncontrollably, but after a while, the pain slowly receded and I was finally able to breathe a bit better. My body felt weak and I was unable to lift myself from the ground, my breathing was ragged, and every breath felt like there was glass in my lungs.

"I forgot to take into account the frail nature of your race.” While her statement implied an accident or mistake on her part, her eyes and flashing smile told another story. She let me suffer on purpose just to watch me nearly drown in my own blood for her personal enjoyment. Still smiling, she continued “The potion I gave you will permanently strengthen your body a bit, it will also filter out toxins in the air from your blood. You will also feel stronger as the gravity here is stronger than what you're used to."
I looked up to see her holding a half empty bottle with a slightly glowing milky liquid and anger filled my eyes as I remembered how she controlled me.
With Ivelina and the "mechanists," my mind remained in my control, at least until Avery tried to mind-rape me.
In that situation, I could choose to resist; even though the cost of resistance might be fatal.

But this violation of my freewill was something I had no resistance against.
"I'll fucking kill you if you use that mind trick shit on me again, stay the fuck out of my head." I said with gritted teeth, still crouched on the ground trying to catch my breath.
Suddenly, I felt a strange chill like someone was walking on my grave. I could even feel the direction this strange chill was coming from. I looked up from the ground, only to see her powerful gaze pinning me down, literally and figuratively. Her inhumanly perfect features were frozen in a mask of anger.
Faster than I could blink, she pulled me from the ground with one hand and threw me across the room like I weighed nothing. I slammed into the wall with my back and my bones groaned in protest as I fell on the ground. Not for the first time, I wondered how these ladies who looked like they weighed less than 90 pounds soaking wet could toss me around like I weighed almost nothing.
She pulled a metal collar that hummed with malevolence out of her robe, and while an inquisitive part of me was curious about how much she could keep in that tight body hugging getup and where it all went, most of me was just batshit terrified of the strange collar that hummed with malevolence, and what it could do to me.
"You are willful; an admirable trait in a pet, but only in moderation. The collar will ensure your training goes smoothly, and without what is clearly your characteristic willfulness. Soon you will be obedient and compliant, begging to please my every whim." Held in place by her gaze, I was unable to move until I felt a shroud come over my mind as the collar clicked into place.
"I know where you call home, you've been fed nonsensical lies like rights, freedom and equality, but here you're nothing, fit only to service the will of your mistress. From now on you will serve and you will do so with every fervor within your being or else," —she flicked the collar with a taloned fingernail and smiled cunningly, "you'll be compelled to."
Horror filled me as the weight of my new situation settled on me. I traded one captor for another and this time it seemed like the option of dissent would be taken from me.
"The gravity here is stronger than what you're used to, so rest and be ready." She continued as if she hadn't just tossed me about like a cheap pillow. She leaned down and drew a very long sharp fingernail on my face drawing blood. Keeping her eyes locked onto mine, she then dipped her talon-like blood cover nail into her mouth, moaning in pleasure "Tomorrow you stand before the High Mistress, and by the time she's done with you all thoughts of freedom and rebellion will be lost in an unquenchable fervor to serve."
She turned, walking towards the large ornate doors at the opposite end of the room. But just before she left, she stopped, looked back at me and smiled. "And before I forget, welcome to Zomyr"

Agenda of the Villainess
As the daughter of a duke, Lady Alicia Senius expected to awaken her latent magical ability during her Blooming ceremony. She was not expecting her connection to the flowers of Fate to awaken memories of a past life, however, and certainly not memories that were somehow inextricably tied with her future. Now, Alicia must find a way to escape the fatal punishment that is the destiny of a villainous noble girl. In doing so, she might even alter the fate of the whole world. This novel is a steampunk take on the otome villainess genre, heavily inspired by the late Victorian era of England and with a system of magic based around floweral circuitry. If that sounds like your cup of tea, why not give it a shot? Updates on Thursday every week.
