When I first conceived this story I envisioned three arcs. Arc 1 Disciple is the one I am writing now, then would come Arc 2 Master, and finally Arc 3 Mastermind.

Each arc has a different genre, and Arc 1 is much more complex technically than the others, reading it without knowing how the world works would leave many plot holes, as you wouldn't have the knowledge needed to understand what is going on. Most of that knowledge I have already told, but as NoDragon said it feels like a textbook. This is due to the fact that Arc 1 is far too complex and epic in scale for my current skills, I think. Due to this I have difficulty getting chapters out, which shows in my erratic updates.

Arc 2 on the other hand is much more like a typical fantasy story in setting, so it would need nearly no setup, allowing me to write a much more affordable story. Furthermore both arcs can be read without spoiling the other too much, and arc 1 would serve as a prequel. I can't make promises, but I'd probably be able to write it with greater skill.

So, I want you to decide:

1. I continue writing arc 1. Pros: you can read the story as it was. Cons: more difficult for me and probably would end up as a worse story.

2. I write arc 2. Pros: it will probably be better and easier to read. It will also allow me to hone my skills for writing arc 1. Cons: it will spoil a few minor things of arc 1, you will be left hanging on arc 1 for a while.
