《Wanted: Dead or Alive》Season 2: Chapter 2 - 'Plea from Panic'

[Fall – Moonton – 19 Suns Before]
There had been multiple Suns that passed and yet Pavo Durov ignored the exhaustion and kept running. To where? He had a destination in mind, however it wasn’t lucid enough to muster enough strength. Even if that meant succumbing to the disorientation of the day's heat, he knew it just had to be better than being captive to that madman. Too scared to even glimpse back in the direction he came, he knew he was being chased, the question was how much distance had he gotten between him and his pursuers.
Even with the wind tame in comparison to previous days, the scorching sun left a lasting impression of impossibility that didn't sit well with the nineteen-year old Bascorzigian descendant that came to the Western Halfland in pursuit of the metaphorical ‘Wild Dream’ as it was known. As he limped down the dirt road from one object to stabilize him to another, he couldn't help but think about how someone failed to mention to Pavo that others out there in this crazy frontier had different intentions than the young elemental Agist. He breathed heavily to support his weak state without even boots to shield him from the blazing ground he walked upon. Of all the possibilities that this new world had in store, he never would have thought that his strongest strength would make him an even bigger target.
Inside a nearby residence, an observant young woman named Anette Yoff cleared her dishes as she finished an early lunch from within a quaint house in the woods. While Anette prepped the water to begin to rinse off the plates, she heard a dragging sound coming from directly outside her small wooden house.
Opening her front door she wouldn't believe the sight of her recently missing friend Pavo, pulling himself towards her, letting out his best attempt at words with a buoyant smile accompanied with a resilient chuckle, “Y-You're there.” The sun-dried blood on his face vividly expressed his need for a miraculous recovery.

“Get in here!” rushed Anette at her entrance, draping Pavo's lowest arm around her shoulder and helping him make his way to her table. “Where have you been?” berated Anette with a clearly-stated stern question toward her injured acquaintance.
Pavo looked up from the table where he now rested against and remarked in fair-tone.
“A very bad place.”
Pavo peered down at the floor and was amazed at how fast a situation could change for the better. “A mad, mad man chasing immortality is out there. I-I just barely made it out.”
Anette had already returned from filling a hefty mug with water and handed Pavo the cup to assist him as he continued to explain his recent escape. His limp arms could not secure the cup and it crashed to the ground after the first sloppy red sip.
Pavo stumbled on a few more of his words but continued, his breathing becoming evidently severe, yet he persisted.
“You m-must find a … 'JJ Cool'. He's a wanted outlaw that may be a legend or a chance. I would always hear tales from the dark corners where I stayed. Sayings like, 'He's going to be our biggest challenge' or 'He'll be worth the risk.’ all from the bastard himself. The Immortal-,” he coughed then regained composure. “What a joke, someone will kill...”
She noticed the anger growing, the hatred visible within her friend made her own temperature flare. This was that dangerous kind of adrenaline she never wished to see displayed upon Pavo’s sharp, innocent face. Anette hadn't heard the name in a while, but it wasn't an unfamiliar noise. In fact, she’d witnessed him escape a bar near Marbrook City in dramatic fashion, killing a suspicious woman on the way out. She couldn’t overburden him now however, instead she’d only respond with a basic answer to his claim.

“You need to rest Pavo.”
It wasn't what he wanted to hear, “No!” shouts back Pavo, “You don't understand, time is important Anette! This evil bastard is working on something big. He controls too much power for it not to be dangerous.” He began to whimper helplessly in Anette’s embrace.
“I understand…,” Anette replied in a level-headed fashion.
[Winter – Parso]
“That was the last thing I ever said to him,” said Anette standing at the door to Jennings and Penny's home. “He lost his will, so I looked after him the rest of the night until I too fell asleep just before the morning sun. All that was left when I awoke was a note telling me that he couldn't stay any longer and put me at risk. Then of course the sure thing happened. I discovered the proof- the- his body was found the very next day only a few minutes from my home.”
Jennings and Penny share an earnest stare as they seem lost for words from their visitor's accounts.
Anette proceeded, “I knew it was a long shot, but here I am. We've actually seen each other before at the Lone Star Bar, not that it's a favor, just a believer in your work. It's my personal mission to take down this threat in Pavo's honor but … he said I need your help.”
[Winter – Moonton]
A star-filled night shone down on a glowing Agi circle that had been inscribed with perplexing markings. It was a common sign seen while creation Agi was being used in this fashion. Hues on the color spectrum that weren’t even comprehensible had exploded from the markings and swirled in a pattern. The ground began to rumble as seeps of angry green, charged blue, and a vexed red light broke through from the ground under the destructive circle.
Traces of fire, wind, water and rock all mixed in the immediate surroundings as a gigantic creature formed to take shape within the allotted area as it grew exponentially. Agi volutes were thrown into the spell area from the side and broke open as they met the floor, releasing a gas-like compound that led to a cloudy scene.
Maniacal laughter could be heard accompanying the words in the bright night,
“Time for those farms to face upwards at fear!”
The creation reached its final multi-elemental form, breaking free from within its conjuration. The giant beast lifted its rock-horned head upward through the Agi mist and let out a terrifying roar with it's fire-gleaming eyes.
Eriko had used another prisoner for his Agi bastardization project, or Ageast.

The Solstice Wars
In the grey-cloaked cityscape of modern London, student William Whiteswift has two secrets: the Fae walk among humanity, and they are just as vulnerable as us. His childhood was filled with them; they spawned nightmares and episodes, dreams and obsessions. The nightmares remain, of course, but the fae are his normal. Now, he heals them, for William is gifted. When he saves a faerie -- a humanoid fae -- from an injury he can’t explain, William is forced to let her stay. Finally, he may have taken on more than he can handle; Ainsel could uproot his life in seconds. Instead, she cracks a Pandora’s box of mysteries: someone just flipped her home on its head. And because of that, she did something unspeakable. And somehow, she doesn’t want to hurt him. The longer she stays, though, the crueler his nightmares grow. Worse, governments hide secrets, too: they know of faeries. To them, all fae are monsters fueled by solstices and equinoxes. As the autumn equinox approaches, the culling agency COURT hurries to track Ainsel down. With teams across the United Kingdom and Ireland -- iron-strong despite the region’s history -- they are nearing success. A world away, their country wounded, the faerie leaders hunger for justice. In the looming shadows of war and of Ainsel’s mistake, can a human and a faerie protect each other against their own kind? Could their plight mend rifts between bitter nations and bitterer people? Or will it, like past attempts at peace, shatter? Quick note! I hope you all enjoy the Irish (Irish Gaelic) words here and there! All are defined or explained within the text. This is my chance to show off speaking it at least somewhat decently. Still learning. ;D -K
