《Shared System》21. Something is wrong here. Somebody should call the authority

With a hint of regret, Shi Xiang pushes a button that is only visible to him. After that his hand was free, and with that freedom, his right hand grabs a hidden assailant while his left hand did the same. And then he clasps his hand together, instantly crushing them. Someone sent a hidden weapon at Shi Xiang, however the invisible force surrounding him remains ever elusive to everyone. Even Shi Xiang doesn't understand how his defense work. The change in his body and spirit was too dramatic of a change to be understood.
It could be said that at that moment, Shi Xiang was someone that did not belong in this continent. But he did not ascend either. Perhaps when his master comes back, due to his obligation with her, he will go. However at this moment, Shi Xiang will go nowhere. Despite the advantage to his cultivation for the last several weeks, he did not cultivate either.
Going nowhere, cultivating nothing. Perhaps Shi Xiang truly belongs to nowhere. Only prompts from the people from the Heavenly Dao discussion and the system notice keeps him going.
At that moment though, despite whatever state Shi Xiang was in, it was not going good for the one who tried to kill him.
Shi Xiang doesn't understand either.
"I wonder what came over me."
Shi Xiang casually states despite the viciousness he demonstrated.
It was a massacre. Despite the supposed differences in realm, to the current Shi Xiang it meant nothing. For the assassins, but it was also bad luck. They could not read him at all. They could not decide whether he was an easy target or not. When multiple master supposedly stronger than Shi Xiang went down brutally without a fight, they started having second thought. But by then it was too late. Shi Xiang leaves exactly a single survivor.

They come at him with the intention to kill, it's better to cut off this strand of karma before it complicates any further.
"Who?"
Shi Xiang stares the last survivor straight in the eyes. The scene of carnage serves as suitable intimidation.
To be honest, he doesn't know what to do if the last guy really doesn't talk. It was a spur of the moment, the normal Shi Xiang does not have any experience dealing with interrogation whatsoever. His master was an elegant woman, who taught him to cultivate both the mind and the soul while cultivating the body. She also taught him movement techniques, but it has no application to the current situation.
Seeing the carnage and the blood of his allies, the last killer turns his head away, ashamed. He did not look at Shi Xiang in the eyes.
"At least tell me who sent you. You don't want all your friends' sacrifice to be for nothing do you? Tell me who sent them all to their death?"
After the silence, Shi Xiang moves his hands in a flurry, aiming for the downed assassin. Stopping at the very last moment, finally the killer speaks.
"The H- The Hu family."
Shi Xiang's brows frown at the name.
"What-"
However at that moment, the assassin bit down on something , quickly his face turns purple, causing Shi Xiang to let go.
"Poison!"
The last of the assassins dead, Shi Xiang looks down at the carnage he has caused. It was in the middle of the street too. The townfolk has all run inside, hiding in their home in fright. This story was brought into public view, surely soon everyone will know.
Shi Xiang however wipes his hand and looks at the scene with a skeptical eye.
"There is something wrong here. Somebody should call the authority."
Shi Xiang says to nobody in particular.

Scenario 66
Silven isn’t too happy when he stops to consider his miraculous prison escape, a guiding voice on the air and the herd of terrifying black knights hunting him down and realises he may be important. Equally, he’s not going to be too happy when he learns he’s nothing more than a character in a video game in chapter 3.8. There’s just no pleasing some people. But by the time of this realisation, Silven is all-powerful and all-arrogant, with a couple of game-breaking businesses under his belt. And when he finally understands he has been meddling with the very fabric of his own reality, the damage may already have been done. This fiction contains: * Approx. 4,342,213 video game tropes, mechanics and cliches * Very light levelling and business development (but no tables. Other than the one on the cover). * A rather acquired taste in dry, sarcastic humour. * 0 dragons. Why no dragons, man? Chapters will be released EVERY DAY, in order to sufficiently punish you for all the bad things you've done in life.
