《Parasitical》Chapter One (Edited as of 6/25/16)

Stupid Host! It has been 8 years after the first time linking with Host. And over these 8 years, Host has done many. And I mean MANY stupid things. Like the first time he escaped his cage 7.5 years back. He escaped, only to be captured again, and really, why escape if it means getting caught right after escaping.
And now, even now. Host is doing something stupid. I mean, yeah, you did just kill a random as hell creature-of-which-I-don't-know-the-name-of but that doesn't mean you gut the thing and take out a shiny orb!
Wait, Host? What are you doing? No Host! Bad Host! Yes, the orb is shiny but that doesn't mean you! Nooooo!
Host just ate the shiny orb, and the moment after swallowing the orb I can feel a surge of power radiating from Host.
But I can tell he isn’t compatible with this energy, so I’ll be taking THAT for now. Stupid Host.
What’s this? A dark shadow going straight for Host? Is that a sword? Oh shit. Host! HOST! Pay attention damn it. Good job, you noticed! Good boy!
No! Why are you standing up now! No! Damn it, I’m not letting you die here, Host.
Host POV:
What is this black space? I remember looting the black wolf and taking the experience orb out and eating it, and I felt a surge of power, that was of course, my first orb.
But I didn’t expect the surge of power to be that big of a difference, and I wasn’t able to contain it… And then… And then I felt the energy being taken in by something… Different...
“I’ll be taking over this time around, can’t have you dying on my now can I?” Said a voice interrupting my brooding session.
Looking up I notice the figure clad in shadows and I shout “Who are you?!”

“Me? I’m a part of you” said the hidden figure as it turned around and disappeared.
And then a floating screen appeared in front of me.
Parasite POV:
Hehe, wasn't that cool? I sounded so cool back there. This new body is so different in a good way, there are muscles in my throat, and I have to manually command the lungs to expand and contract, regardless, back to the situation at hand.
I have to stop this murderous shadow.
The shadow leaps forward taking a jab towards my throat but I just duck down and take a grab at the hand, and break it in two. Taking the other hand, I break it over my leg.
This shadow is surprisingly weak…
Afterwards I systematically break all the arms and legs, with that, the shadow won’t be able to run away. Hehehehe...
Alright, with the crisis out of the way, allow me to continue my rant. What about the shadow? It’s arms and legs are broken, how could it hurt me?
After Host had escaped and was caught, the Host was flung around and around, a strange torture method but nonetheless, it helped motivate the Host to stop escaping for a period of time.
He actually left the prison, or cage for that matter 2.5 years later.
But what followed that was even more stupid, Host decided to grab a stick and whack a tree. A TREE! I really wanted to go have him get checked with a psychiatrist. Why do I know what a physiatrist is? Don’t question it. The author is writing, be quiet.
But really, if you’re going to be whacking a tree, why a stick? Are you trying to make the tree fall? Why? Does this help you? What’s the point? You’re more likely to hurt your hands or something, but then again, I don’t have hands… No wait, I’m in Host’s body!

There’s a stick… Now, to whack a tree… I think this one will suffice.
Giving the tree in front of me the hardest whack possible, a large dent appears.
Anyways, back to the rant. After smacking the tree for a very very long time, the stick FINALLY broke and I thought ‘Yes, stupid Host, stop smacking the goddamn tree!’ But NO, Host leaves and comes back with, guess what? ANOTHER STICK, and the HOst continues to smack the tree like there’s no tomorrow, until today.
Useless, I tell you.
My connection is getting hazy… Time to hand over the controls I guess…
“Don’t forget to interrogate the hostage” I say just as I lose my connection.
Wonderful.

They Are Our Smols
You’ve read They Are Smol. You’ve enjoyed They Are Smol (if you haven’t, well, prepare to not enjoy this one either). But this is smols like you’ve not seen them before. This is extreme smolness with a lemon twist: smols fucked up big time in this one, and Earth, well… Earth is empty of smols. At least the ayys hope so, because it’s fallout time back there. The ones that got away — and let’s face it, it was all of them that were left — had no place to go. Homeless, smol and needing protectings, they were taken in. For the lucky ayys out there, they’re our smols. This is a not-so-serious slice of life alternate universe where the entire population of Earth, what was left after the dead man’s switch was flipped and the nukes successfully irradiated the planet, were evacuated en masse and then taken in by the galactic civilization at large. I’ll probably write a few more in this silly, comfy alternate timeline to expand on what’s different, but don’t take it too seriously, okay? I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only u/tinyprancinghorse.TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a Website and a Patreon.

The Kings of Thendor - The Two Kings
To some, it would probably be obvious. To others – not so much. In the land of Thendor, where magic is mysterious, unmentioned, and sometimes even disbelieved; where kings, queens, and stewards rule, the ages-old kingdom of Alldel remains without its king. Heirs come and go and no one can explain why each one chooses to abdicate to the steward. And who are these heirs, anyway? Some say the line of kings is dead, while others whisper of magic. Some, though few they are, will tell you other kingdoms have interfered, keeping the line of kings from rising in the nation of Alldel. But why? Adric, son of Cassian, heir to the throne of Alldel has come of age and must answer the question, whether to assume the throne, or abdicate as his ancestors had done for centuries. Raised as a blacksmith by a family friend, Adric struggles with the decision to take up his place as King of Alldel, and to make matters worse, a neighboring kingdom has confirmed the rumors of the common folk. An impossibly old king with a centuries-old message arrives and changes Adric’s life in ways he could never have imagined. Adric must decide the future, and perhaps even the fate of the great kingdom of Alldel. Unprepared for this turn of events, he enlists the help of allied kingdoms and even the mystical nymphs of the Tulusbian forest. Some say his actions will start a war on the continent of Thendor. Ohers say he is resurrecting a long forgotten one from centuries ago. Abdicate, or become king? To some, it would probably be obvious. To others – not so much.

A Requiem For The End
Yuga wakes up on a cold, frigid land entirely covered in snow. Where was he? Who was he? Neither of these could he remember but he didn't have time to think of it, he could tell danger wasn't far. A quick death if he failed to avoid it. It was fast approaching and much as he tried to escape, it quickly caught up with him. Luckily he had survived, but was he just lucky or was there something more to him.....? A Requiem For The End is a fantasy story set in a world.......well, quite different from most stories you might have seen (I honestly don't know how to better describe it). Early into the story (prologue) the world feels elusive because you slowly learn about it through the eyes of Yuga. As you read on questions may arise in your mind and mysteries will present themselves. The answers to them will come the further you read. I'd like to think the plot is a bit larger than the average and same goes for the world building. If you find this story intriguing then all I can say is - There's a lot for me to tell, hop on?
