《TUW》Chao Seed Or Cow Seed? (Chapter 27)

Walking out of the smithing store, I got many strange looks. Was it because of the overly sparkly hoe? A cold breeze then blew, cooling my bare chest.
Oh.
Somehow, I completely forgot my shirt was destroyed, too distracted by the events that led after the tournament. Hey, don't criticise me, many people wearing spectacles look for their glasses without realising they were wearing them all along too! It's just a slightly different scenario.
"Hey Griaugh, mind helping me get a shirt?"
"Oh, I thought you were keeping the shirt off to show off your abs! Umm, wait a second."
Who the hell walks in public half naked to show off their abs? I didn't as heck didn't want to at least. Sure, farming my whole life gave me a nice set off muscles, but I was tanned unevenly by the sun all over my body on random spots, something I'd rather conceal.
Griaugh closed his eyes for a second looking focused, then opened them to reveal pure dark ones, almost looking like empty eye sockets. He stared into what seemed like blank space for a minute, then reverted back to his usual appearance, which was good. I wasn't the only person slightly creeped out to see a guy "without eyes" groping the air before him randomly.
"All done, I found a clothing shop!"
We headed towards the shop, but it was filled with assortments of fancy clothing and such. Like before in Arcanium, I felt out of place in such a classy place. I didn't like the overly glamorous outfits as well. Eventually, I asked the staff if they had plainer wear and they managed to find me a white short sleeved t-shirt. It was clearly intended for dyeing, as there were bunch of assorted ones hung on racks. I was then informed that it was made with enchanted silk of a giant silkworm to be very tough, enchanted to be cooling, to reduce the magic damage and to self wash.

Well, obviously Griaugh had found me a overly fancy shirt store. If he was going to help me pay, I didn't mind that however. I just hoped he didn't expect me to be able to pay him back on a later date. Griaugh bought me a white shirt and a pair of brown pants which were worn right in the store, and I exited the store refreshed. The cooling effect would get some time to get used to however.
"I think we should get back to cultivation now that we are done with food, right?" Griaugh asked, pointing back into the direction of the mana forest.
"Sure, w-"
BANG!
A huge shudder pulsed though the ground, knocking off a few distracted people to the ground. Me and Griaugh were stable enough, only stumbling.
"What the heck was that?" "Ahh, my ice cream!" "Oh no the baby!"
Many shouts rang out as various people dropped various things. And for reference, the baby was fine.
"Whoa, what was that?" Griaugh said, looking around left and right for no good reason.
SHIMISHCOJWWCLCWPWCK!
A horrible distorted sound then pulsed though the air, and my eyes closed in shock.
"HUBADELAAAAAHAGGAHHHHOOOOOOOOKKOOIOJJBAAAAAA" My vision was tinted purple when I opened my eyes after the nonsensical scream and the scream did not stop. My mind started to feel clouded as the screams grew louder and louder, and everything went dark (purple).

"Hey! Hey! Alan, are you alright?"
"Ehh?" I opened my eyes, only to see and feel Griaugh shaking me. I swatted away his hand; I felt dizzy as heck from all that shaking.
"Thank goodness!" He heaved a sigh of relief as he put me back down on the floor.
"What happened?" I asked, confused by what had conspired.

"Well, I'm not too sure myself. Uh... basically something happened and a wave of cows or something hit us. Everyone got knocked out, and the Sect Master started shaking random people and tell them to wake other people and stuff. An old lady shook me and told me happened."
Oh. Answering the question only raised more questions, leaving me more confused. Me and Griaugh worked hard afterwards, shaking awake random people. Soon, the Sect Master made an announcement to gather all outer and inner disciple at the Great Hall. It was a long announcement, talking about the chaos seed that had landed in the country and why it is very dangerous, etc.
"As such, all the Masters, Elders, Inner Disciples and Core Disciples will be embarking on a mission to subdue the chaos seed!"
Oh, okay. We weren't knocked out by cows after all.

To Become a Troll: A Monster Evolution Story
Thrust into the supernatural world of the deep forest, Paul finds himself in a situation where he could find himself prey to pretty much every other creature and animal around. If he's to survive, he must shed his weak form to grow stronger and survive. But the forest is full of creatures beyond human understanding, that act without the need for food or shelter and that seem to exist for the sole purpose of dragging humans to the bottom of a murky river. Is it really possible to kill such creatures when your only strength is physical prowess? --- A monster evolution story based on Swedish creature mythology. The focus will overwhelmingly be on the progression of the main character and his slow increase in strength. Although many of the creatures are based on Swedish creature mythology, I have taken creative liberties in order to ensure that evolution lines and the such are in line with the usual. The main thought I had when going into this is that I want to delay the "meeting a human" section as much as possible. My plan is to get him to endgame levels of strength before even sniffing the possibility of seeing a human. Whether I'm actually able to do this remains to be seen, but I'm holding my thumbs! Also, I'm aware that there are other troll evolution stories, but this is unrelated to them. They can do their stuff and I'll do mine, but this is in no way related to any of them. That said, hope you enjoy it!
