Chapter-12: Admission system, Classes, and Commercial Town.
After washing himself and wearing his astral uniform or should have said academy’s uniform Agun asked Anne while following her,
"Where are we going?"
After finishing their introduction Anne asked him to follow her.
"Oh, you don't know? I thought you were informed yesterday. Whatever, you will meet with Chief Chef of the academy."
She replied.
"Oh, I see. Sorry about that I completely forget it."
Agun apologized.
"See, you need a maid to look after you. Our academy name will be tarnished if you show this forgetful behavior in outside of the academy."
She said with the serious tone.
"Yeah yeah, I understand and I give up, please teach me how to become a punctual gentleman."
Agun replied with semi sarcasm because who will give a damn about which academy he came from after his graduation. In the first place, he never will try to tarnish his name let alone academy name, he who wanted to gain fame.
It was unknown if she noticed his tone but she gave a satisfied nod.
"By the way how far is Academy’s main kitchen?"
Agun asked.
"If we take a train from here it will take 10 minutes at most.'
She replied with indifferent voice.
"You are pretty knowledgeable despite being a first year like me."
He praised her.
"Yes, because I already check the main kitchen or should be called Palace of Heaven before coming here. We, maids, need to be advanced in every work."
She replied with same indifferent voice.
'Maids are awesome creatures.' Agun thought to himself.
"I noticed earlier you said, the first year aren't supposed to assign as a maid, well I understand that part but why particularly you were chosen?" (Agun)

"Answer is simple; I had taken maid training before coming here." (Anne)
"Oh, you are somewhat admirable." (Agun)
"There is no point on hit me. I won't fall for your lame flattery."
She told that with the cold voice.
He gave a wary laugh but didn't say anything to her.
They silently walk to train station and take a train which started to run after 5 minutes they got on it.
It was irritable silence for Agun. So he asked,
"So which class are you in? I presume you are not a Class S."
“You are right, if I was Class S, I won’t be your maid in the first place. I am in class A1.”
Anne replied, hearing A1 Agun was curious and asked,
“Is A1 is after Class S?”
“Indeed. This year altogether 40,203 students were selected, of course including you. Except Class S, the other class ranked A to R, where A is higher class and R is lower. Each class got almost 1820 students after dividing the total students by 22 classes… of course, Class S wasn’t among them. And each class also divided 1820 students because each class can hold only 120 seats. This time every student divided into 18 section like our class A has A1 to A18 sections.”
Hearing Class S, Class S Agun felt annoyed even though he is part of it and it was an elite class in the academy. But a question rose after thinking about it,
“Is other students get there classes their rank-wise?”
“Yes. But not like Class S who has been chosen for their battle prowess. They had to take couple admission tests after their battle potential test. Those were writing and viva, and writing also was two types one was same type question for everyone and another was in the field that they were expert of… like medic, crafting, alchemy etc and those who don’t have any field and wish for chose after researching they had to give a test in magic as optional. The mark is 40 in battle potential, 20 in fixed writing test, 15 in optional writing test, and 15 in viva. This year’s last student from class A’s score was 98.25.”

As she bisected the admission test Agun became as amazed as always on this academy, and he thought that he had passed easily. He then asked her,
“Then what is the pass mark? And what was your score? After all, you are in A1, that means your mark is close to 100.”
“There is no passing mark. This academy accepts everyone as long as candidate’s background isn’t something fearful. As for my mark, it is not important right now because it doesn’t matter at this point.”
She said with half-closed eye.
At first, Agun thought he cannot get along with her. But when he actually spend few moment with her, it was pretty easy to talk and she answered everything nicely to his questions. As he was staring at her unknowingly she said,
“What are you delusional with those lustful eyes? Are you trying to strip me on your mind?”
“No, I am not…”
Okay, he retracted his previous opinion toward their relationship.
“You don’t have to be that angry. I was just joking.”
She said.
“No, your eyes are telling you are not joking.”
After hearing that she retracts her eyes from him and look out of the window ad if she doesn’t even want to look at her.
In the end they were silent all the way and got out from the train in the similar mood when they reached their targeted station.
Agun followed her direction while looking the scenery. This was a commercial town where every kind of shops can be seen.
There were weapon and magic scroll shops were the most in this town. There is also magic potion, alchemy, cloths and vegetable shops. But there was no food stall or restaurant in this town, unlike any other commercial town or market.
But later he understood why as he stood in front of a huge gate. On top of the gate, it was written Palace of Heaven. This gate was decorated too beautifully that looks really like the gate of heaven.
After entering from the gate he saw it was bigger than the town he just came from. There were many buildings each building has a different name. Like eastern style cuisine, western style cuisine, northern style, coffee shop, fast food restaurant etc. In another he could see here almost every genre of cuisine he came to know before.
“M-My heaven!!, is it really academy restaurant?!!!”
This is the first time Agun said with 100% real surprised in his tone.

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.
