A strange discussion
LOG3456: Suggestion.
Unknown1: "So, who do I ask for a suggestion... If not you?"
Unknown2: "Hmph, what are you even talking about Tavera. You know that I Overlord Isaz, will overwhelmingly give you the best advice. There is no one with more knowledge than me in this field!"
Tavera: "Yeah, right..."
Overlord Isaz: "Bastard, you want to fight?!"
Tavera: "There is no point in competing with you. Don't you have any worthy book to read? Is your current collection so poor?"
Overlord Isaz: "How can it be poor? I have a full collection of almost everything that exists here!"
Tavera: "Yet, you don't share..."
Overlord Isaz: "Then... What do you... Ah, the all-mighty Tavera wants to read?"
Tavera: "What crap do you have?"
Overlord Isaz: "You are doing that on purpose!"
Tavera: "Nope, I am asking you seriously. If you don't believe me, I will bet on the casino... And believe me, you don't want me to lose."
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera! You are a... bastard!"
Tavera: "Chill out dude... Why are you always trying to pick a fight? Also, stop pressing your finger on my shoulder."
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera, you are a cheater..."
Tavera: "Bruh, I remember someone calling you a backstabber."
Overlord Isaz: "That was a game that used cheating as the plot. A more important deal was made beforehand... And it was accomplished!"
Tavera: "Okay... Then suggest me something."
Overlord Isaz: "You have many things you can watch... Are you sure you prefer reading?"
Tavera: "Aren't you the one that always says... That true reading is better than watching videos or series?"
Overlord Isaz: "Bruh, that's only because I understand. You don't. Everything starts with ink, sweat, and blood!"
Tavera: "You... Seriously, you are like some masochistic pervert..."
Overlord Isaz: "Nothing like that! I am empowered by those suffering emotions! The pain that is inflicted to me, will be returned tenfold to them!"
Tavera: "Okay, okay... I get it... Mmm, Then do you want to bet?"
Overlord Isaz: "Hahahaha, fine by me. But I'll choose the race!"
Tavera: "Sure... Where?"
Overlord Isaz: "Where else... But in my castle!"
Tavera: "Deal! If I win, you give me the thing I want."
Overlord Isaz: "If I win, you'll have to create what I choose!"
Tavera: "Hahaha, deal! But you'll have to let me give you something additional."
Overlord Isaz: "Bastard, what are you planning?"
Tavera: "Does it scare you? Since you always lose!"
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera! You know that's not true. The record is in a draw!"
Tavera: "Yeah, whatever you say... So deal or are you chickening out?"
Overlord Isaz: "Deeeaaal..."
LOG3889: Puny creation? Castle?
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera! You fucking bastard!"
Tavera: "I am hearing you, idiot! Stop doing that... Why do you never stop poking people in the shoulders?!"
Overlord Isaz: "I know what you did!"
Tavera: "Last summer? That's a movie right?"
Overlord Isaz: "Nooo! You fucking bastard... I am talking about this!"
Tavera: "Bruh, you wanted me to do that for you. Just so you know, I think I did a pretty good job."
Overlord Isaz: "You! That puny creation isn't even funny... I told you to do it following the fucking castle... You are breaking the agreement!"
Tavera: "You did that same thing the last time you lost. Now you are angry when I only partially broke the agreement. In fact, it can't even be called as breaking it."

Overlord Isaz: "Those things are different! There was no bet at that time. Aside from some nipple pinching or face slapping..."
Tavera: "See, you evaded those..."
LOG3921: Every story needs some ink?
Overlord Isaz: "What are you doing?"
Tavera: "Remember that time you told me some things to read. I finished them. But you were right, I didn't understand why they called them shonen when it is a demographic parameter."
Overlord Isaz: "That's simple, some stories were made for money. The categories are mostly for customer marketing, more than for enlightenment. Its a business, they direct those to where the genre is popular."
Tavera: "Damn. I see. Then what do you suggest I read?"
Overlord Isaz: "Depends on what you are seeking."
Tavera: "Mmm, can you like evade political talk?"
Overlord Isaz: "No, it's in my blood!"
Tavera: "Then explain it better..."
Overlord Isaz: "If you divide them by what you seek, you can get better ideas of what to learn.
A story is practically more profound in its bare sketchings. That moment when it is made by writing. Those written are then transformed to published books, combined in animations, series, and movies. But the true soul of a story is only in its draft form. Like the first sketches of a drawing."
Tavera: "I already know that. You don't have to tell me after seeing my favorite animes and series succumb..."
Overlord Isaz: "Hehe, that's good then...
Only those that have searched for the written counterparts, know the sweetness of reading those alphabetically condensed souls. Thus I prefer calling those that read written languages 'soul seekers'."
Tavera: "As expected from a dark overlord... Naming yourself like that without closing an eye... You really laugh like someone in that castle of yours..."
Overlord Isaz: "Ha...ha...haha, ha-ha-haha.... Muahahahahhaa!!!"
Tavera: "Seriously... Just a little praise and it got triggered... Isaz you are truly broken"
Overlord Isaz: "Ah, it feels so... GOOD to do that!"
Tavera: "Ok, spare me that catastrophic laugh. What's your point?"
Overlord Isaz: "Continuing with what you asked, I can classify stories in a general way like this. Take into account that the author levels vary by what they read, not always by what they write.
Stories have different things that everyone desires. You classify them by what it brings to the readers. It's only possible when the readers accept the characters as themselves.
1. Accomplishment stories: Those that give your puny mortal self, an opportunity to achieve what you did not, by following the characters steps. To accomplish love, careers, positions, peaceful living, eating, revenge...
2. Light feeling entertainment: These stories give you the feels in a good way. It's the typical hero saving the damsel. Justice, pure love... You name it.
3. Stories to escape the current reality: Well they can be really like a medieval setting... But no one wants to live in a shit dump, imagine it... women will smell terrible there..."
Tavera: "Spare me your ordinary comments Isaz! Even you will smell without cleaning."
Overlord Isaz: "Fine... bastard Tavera..."
"The stories that escape current reality are not easily divided. They are a mix of:
1. Realistic Settings: Medieval or Sci-Fi can have some of this. But they exchange current reality by doing a time change.
2. Mystic enlightenment: Gods. Yeah, influenced by religion or beliefs. Gods interact or appear in the story and you want to have a destiny, maybe become a god, backstab god... Oh, I think I went wrong there... Let's skip this...
3. Superhuman Empowerment: You want to become stronger. Individually or with people. It is similar to evolving, leveling up, etc. You simply want to kick some asses out there.
4. Realistic enlightenment: There aren't many of this. I mean there are many knowledge books. But not many stories that show a character learning things that are useful outside fantasy. (Apart from the generic things you learn. I won't enter this in-depth.)
5. Longevity stories: Xianxia and xuanhuan are more on the mystical side, but they do touch longevity. Longevity is the will and desire to have your soul last for a long time. But it can be accomplished realistically or mystically. For example, xuanhuan and xianxia are more on the mystical side, they are usually based on ying-yang or laws that not even a main character can truly understand. So, they are mystically explained by creators, gods, etc.
Well, there are more things, but let's leave it at that."
Tavera: "In summary, those stories are basically made to escape current reality and fulfill the other steps."
Overlord Isaz: "That's right, remember that this is classified by what you gain from reading a story. Not what the story sells to you. There are no real categories, just a combination of things. Benefits are what you should seek. Not monetary obviously, you want to enlighten your current life, to live better or to make everyone else suffer."
Tavera: "I must say, that that's an interesting way of sorting them..."
Overlord Isaz: "When you do anything in life, gaming included, you can search that way."
Tavera: "So say, I can like... Combine longevity, accomplishments, light entertainment, medieval, with part fantasy and realism, some–"
Overlord Isaz: "Stop it... You are going the way of those vampiric romances! You need to search what you seek, use tags idiot!"
Tavera: "I was going to say something different. Hahaha... So supposing there is a light side... Then what is the dark side supposed to be?"
Overlord Isaz: "You are too much of a baby to read those... If you look at the abyss, you will..."
Tavera: "Oh, shut up you old fogie. You are obviously broken after that, but haven't I been spending time with you?"
Overlord Isaz: "It's not the same."
Tavera: "Want to bet?"
LOG4107
Overlord Isaz: "Fuck! How can this happen again!"
Tavera: "You lost. Tell me Faggot... I am losing my patience here. Want to go to the casino?"
Overlord Isaz: "Damnit! You win... I'll tell you about the dark side..."
Tavera: "You make it sound as if its something from another world..."
Overlord Isaz: "Dark stories fulfill the vilest and darkest parts of people...And believe me, it's better to leave a big piece hidden in the depths... Those at the bottom... I even had to seal those."
Tavera: "What, you think I can't tolerate something like that?"
Overlord Isaz: "It's not like that, I already forgot those. They leave trauma even to the most villainous being."
Tavera: "I see..."
LOG4556
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera! What did you do? you bastard!"
Tavera: "Just wrote you a poem, should I call you clown of spades now? You were the one to say a heart was too pure and cute for you..."
Overlord Isaz: "Where is it?!"
Tavera: "Here..."
Overlord Isaz:
"I am a trained seal,
I have a painted smile,
I can honk and give appeal,
Even if this world is vile.
I am a clown born with diss,
Don't give me reality,
Cus' regardless of the deepest abyss,
I will remain in dark fantasy.
Where only those like this,
Can smile like me."
Tavera: "See Isa, it's so funny! I think it captures your dark heart perfectly. As they say, only clowns can smile after seeing the abyss."
Overlord Isaz: "You bastard! I shall get my revenge..."
LOG5111
Tavera: "Hey Isa! Where the hell did you g... Hmm, what's this, a video?"

Tavera: "What the fucking hell is this! OMG! Bleerrggg!!"
Overlord Isaz: "Ha...ha...haha, ha-ha-haha, muahahahahaha!
Take that Bastard Tavera! I didn't want to remember that fucking shit! But did you really believe that those puny human videos were the worst... There are things worse than s***** and s*** out there! Do you think aliens have the same biology as us?"
Tavera: "Isa! You motherfucker, what did you make me see! ARGH, my eyes! My brain! Noooooo! Fuck! Why did I have to see such a thing! DAMN WHERE THE HELL IS THE UNSEEING JUICE!!! FUCKING ISA!"
Overlord Isaz: "Suffer Bastard Tavera! I also made a poem for you!!! It's right there in the bathroom's mirror!!!" (Maniac laughs followed.)
"Abysses are dark,
Rejoicement is painted red,
Simply honk and bark,
Ending the wicked show in bled."
PS: Learn to rhyme and keep it simple, Tavera. Your poem sucked.
V/R: Eat.My.Clown&Smile.Asshole!
Tavera: "ISA! You fucking nut... WAIT! No!... No way! Don't tell me you made the mirrors to reproduce that fucking sh-Nooooooooo! ISSSAAA!
Overlord Isaz: "Take that bastard, Tavera! You bastard will be blind for years after seeing that bizarre shit! I drew many runes over those walls to prevent you from unseeing! Engrave it to your bastardly memory!

Tavera: "ISSSSssssaaaaa!"
LOG6123
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera... I am sorry ... Pal... Let bygones be bygones..."
Tavera: "Fuck you... You backstabbing fiend!"
Overlord Isaz: "It's not my fault Tavera... You were the one that courageously stated that nothing could shrink your p****."
Tavera: "It's over! You are going to that fucking..."
Overlord Isaz: "W-wait! No need to be so bastard... Tavera... You can be good... and I'll give you what you want... Seriously..."
Tavera: "Tell me old thing, what is it that we seek after entering...that shit yard of an abyss?"
Overlord Isaz: "Well Tavera you are officially a dark-sider now... Do you want a cat, a dog, a hug? I hear that corgi..."
Tavera: "You say another fucking joke and I will..."
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera... My friend... I was only trying to give you some..."
Tavera: "Give me the damn thing."
Overlord Isaz: "Tavera you know I can't... Its almost a part of me now..."
Tavera: "... Give... It!"
Overlord Isaz: "Ok... You see this, this thing in my mighty armor, it's supposed to be the answer, but you must be careful when...Ahhhh! TAVERA YOU FUCKING BASTARD!"
Tavera: "Fuck you ISA! Get used to staying there! You backstabber!"
LOG7022
Overlord Isaz: "So...B-Tavera... Did you find it?"
Tavera: "Shut your trap Isaz, I am decyphering this shit."
Overlord Isaz: "Hey, I am asking decently, you see? Can you tell me if you found something?"
Tavera: "Your current story classification can somehow be simplified to two things. Those that regret and those that accept their regrets. Seriously, all that shit for nothing."
Overlord Isaz: "B-Bas...Tavera... You really are finding interesting things...But you need to return that to me!"
Tavera: "Yeah, yeah... Don't worry I will return it. Seems like every human on earth was trying to... Oh, look Isa this might be it... Mmm, What's this... A stone?"

8 95Judas Valiant: Chorus of the Machine Giants
The world of Judas Valiant is bustling with Fantasy and a touch of Steampunk. This is an original tale made as an homage to the famed Studio Ghibli and Guillermo Del Toro, all-the-while taking inspirations from numerous animes and fantasies alike (Too many to love! Too many to name!). When a bloody catastrophe strikes a young boy's home, desperation brings about an unknown visitor. Plagued with gut-wrenching fear and an oncoming spiral into madness comes the boy's only hope of survival. Ripe with desperate opportunity, arrives the many-faced creature rushing to make a deal worth several lifetimes. "To find your way into your parent's arms again, you'll need to become a Valiant." He explained. "A Valiant?" I responded suspiciously. "...One must perform a 3-part task in which you must demonstrate the essence of a Mother, the essence of a Father, and earn the essence of a Gaurdian." He explained with haste. Innocently playing into the unknown visitor's tempting hand, the boy agrees to a deal hopelessly intertwined with a journey like no other and is sent to the mysterious and massive city of New Dwarden. Faced with outrageously colorful characters, towering and seemingly alien animal life, and even talking frogs-lemur's, the boy must adapt to grand adventure to complete his impossible task. This a steampunk story about a second chance at life, one that grows beyond life and death.
