《Undying War God》Time for Some Cheap Meal [1/2]

Along the road, a black hooded man was keeping an eye on the road for any adventurer or carriages. He did not look so happy about his job.
"Fuck my life! While everyone is sleeping, I'm here, acting like a watchdog..." The man complained as he sat down on the ground and leaned on a tree base.
"I can't even recall the last time when we pulled off a successful raid and here I'm, acting like a watchdog, in the middle of the night while everyone else is sleeping.
Who with the right mind would travel at this hour?" The man was releasing his pent-up frustration and anger by punching the ground.
"Screw this watch, I'll just sleep and it's not like the boss will kill me for this...." he decided and closed his eyes.
tok to tok to...
Just after 5 minutes, the sound of something approaching came. At first, the man ignored it, but as the loudness of the sound increased, he got annoyed and finally, he lost it...
"Can't even sleep for five minutes....let me see who is so foolish enough to travel at this hour...." The man stood up and tried to figure out the source of the sound. After walking for 5 minutes towards the source of the sound, the man could see a rough figure of a carriage...
'Doesn't that look like a carriage? Fuck! fuck! fuck....it is a carriage...rich... rich...I'll become rich. Let me report about this carriage to the boss then we can raid.... '
After confirming his guess, the man ran towards his previous location then towards the depth of the forest. After traversing through a large patch of land, he stopped in front of a fire camp.
Around the fire pit, 5 individuals were sleeping on the ground with a thin blanket between them and sky. Only one among them was sleeping a wooden chest who had better clothing when compared to others. Even his physic was heavier when compared to others.

The man went to each person and awakened them one by one. Even one was pissed about it but they woke up after cussing.
After waking up, they organized themselves. The hulking man was relaxing on the wooden chest while the other members were standing in front of the Hulking man.
"Simba, why did you wake up everyone? Did you forget about blood moon incident?" The Hulking man asked with a heavy voice.
"Boss, I remember everything but this matter is more relevant. When I was overseeing our territory, I saw a carriage coming this way, so I thought we could raid....." Simba explained everything.
"Are you sure about it?" Bulky Boss asked again while staring at Simba.
"I'm a hundred percent sure about it, boss!" Simba replied.
The boss rose from his seat and walked toward Simba and patted his shoulder and said: "If the information you gave is correct, you will be rewarded or else get your ass ready for anal....."
The boss went on, "Everyone, pick up your weapons ready because we are about to raid and I prefer this raid to be successful, we clear?"
"Yes, Boss!"
"Yes, Boss!"
"Yes, Boss!"
"Yes, Boss!"
"Yes, Boss!"
All five of them replied in unison...
Oblivious to the conspiracy, Felix and squad were continuing their Journey, slowly moving towards their destination. Felix and Uncle Fang were sitting in the driver seat while talking with each other.
"Uncle, Are we going to the City of Wassipur?" Felix asked.
"Ohh...you are right but how did you know about it?" Uncle Fang asked with a curious gaze.
"It's nothing, I learned it from Grandma's book," Felix replied.
"Ohh...Master gave you a boo..." Uncle Fang was about to say something, but he was interrupted.

"Halt! We are the Notorious bandit gang of this area and we are here to rob you. Cooperate with us or get ready to die!"
Thier conversation was interrupted by this unfamiliar voice. Uncle Fang stopped the carriage by pulling the reign. In front of the carriage, at some distance, six individuals were trying to block the road by standing side by side. They were carrying daggers and their face was masked with a piece of black cloth.
"Elder, why did we stop?" Daisy's drowsy voice came from the carriage.
"It's nothing, just bunch of retards trying to die and you stopping listening to our conversation and sleep" Uncle Fang answered Daisy's Query.
"Okay, Elder"
"Brat, sit here and wait for me. I'll go and clear the blockage, Am I clear?" Uncle Fang turned his head and informed Felix.
"Uncle, Let me handle it, okay? I can improve that way." Felix said as he got off the carriage.
"But..." Uncle Fang was confused when he heard Felix's reply.
'When did this brat become so proactive?'
"No buts uncle, just lend me a sword because I don't have one...." Felix said as he scratched his head.
"You stupid brat....just be vigilant and signal me when anything goes out of your control, Okay?" Uncle Fang said as he handed out a sword which was normal in all aspects.
Felix took the sword and advanced towards the bandits. The current Felix was not the same but no one learned about it...
'Hahaha.....Greatest Soul Stealer Reaper is handling a garbage sword, hilarious. If Rayusi hears about it, he will die from laughing...' Lord Dominik said
' Shut up old man, I was the strongest in the soul realm and now I want to become the strongest in the Physical realm and cross dimensions. Now for love of devil, let me enjoy my first mean..first cheap meal....' Felix said as he casually walked towards the bandits while dragging his sword...

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
