Chapter 16: The Town Of Adventurers

Shin’s POV…

Right now, All of us are assembled in the village's square. After arriving in the village all the residence of the village came to welcome Sensei home, there were some strange ones amongst them like that girl named Sal and the Foxkin boy named Kon who is sitting on top of Sensei’s shoulders right now, but all of them seems to be kind and all of them loves Sensei.

Sitting in the village’s square are people from many races, Humans, Catkin, Dogkin, Foxkin, many types of beastmen, and also True Vampires, a Giant and Elfs. This place is something like a paradise for those who wish for coexistence with other races.

“Ann: Ryo, could you introduce your friends to us?”

“Ryo: Yeah, those two are Shin and Loti, my students and party members, and this here is Wolf-san the elder of a village of Beastmen and Humans”

“Nice to meet you!”x3

“Ryo: I’m back this time because I have a job for Old man Nos and those who wish to go with him”

“Nos: for me?”

“Ryo: Yes, the truth is that I got information on a group of Holy Knights planning to attack the village of Wolf-san here and I knew from before that Wolf-san and Seth are friends, and so I went to help them, and thus I alone killed all the Holy Knights that attacked, after that, I wanted to declare that village as part of The Divine Blacksmith’s domain but it seems that that village is overcrowded and the people are running low on living space, that’s why I want you to go to the village and help them expand their cave and to help them build new homes and wall around the whole mountain the village integrated into”

“Nos: Got it! Leave it to me”

“Ann: You said that you killed the Holy Knights that attacked the village..”

“Ryo: Yeah, I used them to demonstrate my powers to the Holy Church and the Kingdom”

“Ann: That means that you recorded the fight and planning to have the Adventurers Guild spread it all around the world”

“Ryo: Yeah”

“Ann: Could you let us watch the fight?”

“Ryo: No problem”

Sensei took out the recording artifact and played it back to let all the people present watch the fight. Once the recording ended I could see the people around us nodding their heads for some reason.

“Ann: As always you seem to have trouble with magic”

“Ryo: That’s why I’m trying to create a new Mana Art to use in place of Magic”

“Ann: That’s a good idea”

“Loti: ….Erm, what do you mean by having trouble with magic? Most of what he used to kill the knights is magic, right?”

“Ryo: Actually, that wasn’t magic, that was my sword’s ability {Flame Control}, this is an ability that all fire dragons have, it uses mana but it’s not magic, all I did was to enhance the fire with the dark magic {Pain} that’s all”

“Loti: I see”

“Urak: Hahahaha! But you really went easy on them! You did not even use half of your skills”

“Ryo: It’s better this way, I did not need to use my full power after all”

“Shin: Sensei, but you’ll not be able to enter any town you want if you have the Guild spread this recording, what are you going to do about it?”

“Ryo: This…”

Sensei said that and restarted the recording one more time, but this time the Sensei in the recording is different from the real one, in the recording his hair color is white and not black and both his sword and gear are blue rather than red and black and the one in the recording don’t wear glasses although the real one dose.

“Shin: How did you do that?”

“Ryo: It’s the ability of my glasses, I’ll tell you about it later but for now let's work on connecting the two villages”

In the Royal Capital of the Kazar Kingdom.

Inside the Royal Castle in the King's study, the King Forten Morten Kazar was reading reports coming from all over the Kingdom when an old man wearing butler’s attire entered the room.

“Butler: Your majesty, I have some important news that the Prime Minister tried to block from reaching you”

“Forten: Again?! Hahh…. Tell me, what happened this time?”

“Butler: The Divine Blacksmith declared war, Sir”

Upon hearing the butler’s words, Forten fell down from his chair and stared at the butler with a face full of surprise and fear.

“Forten: Did he not like the apology and gift we sent him because of the previous case??”

“Butler: Your majesty, in the first place, what we sent to Donatis is still to arrive, they need at least three more days to arrive”

“Forten: Then he was tired of waiting and declared war on us?!”

“Butler: No, he is not one of your dirty nobles after all”

“Forten: You are right….. Then what happened? And why is Marred blocking the information?”

“Butler: Will you increase my pay if I tell you?”

“Forten: …….You never change, do you?”

“Butler: Of course, I have served your father in the same way, after all, I work as a butler with Marred-sama while at the same time act as a spy for you, who wouldn’t take advantage of that?”

“Forten: What exactly happened?”

“Butler: Ten years ago one of the nobles of Donatis discovered a village where humans and beastmen lived together in peace and attacked them to make them into his slaves, but the village was visited by a Dragonman a friend of the village elder, said Dragonman possessed the strength of SS rank adventurer and that noble knew about that, that’s why he used children beastmen slaves as meat shields to stop him from attacking, and then they made a deal that stat’s the Dragonman becomes that noble’s slave and in exchange, the noble would release the children and to never tell anyone about the village, and they signed a Blood Contract on those terms, but the noble cheated the Dragonman by not adding ending conditions to the contract”

“Forten: Hahh…. Why is it all our nobles are like that… so what happened then?”

“Butler: Well, that noble did not know at the time that slave collars don’t work on Dragonmen due to their high magical resistance and by the time he learned of that the Blood Contract was already singed, that’s why he could not touch that village and had a strong Dragonman that would never obey him inside a steel cage. And when The Divine Blacksmith took over Donatis he freed the Dragonman”

“Forten: He freed him? What about the Blood Contract?”

“Butler: That noble died some time ago and his son took over as the head of the family and found some documents talk about the Dragonman and that’s how he knew about him, and then he escaped Donatis along with the late lord’s son and then attacked Donatis with him and died, but before they departed from the Capital he informed the Holy Church of the existence of the village and some days ago the Church attacked the village using the same method that noble used in the past, they used beastmen children slaves as meat shields, but this time The Divine Blacksmith was waiting for them there and this was the result…”

The butler took out a playback crystal and showed the battle between the Holy Church and The Divine Blacksmith to Forten, Forten always believed that The Divine Blacksmith is strong but he did not expect him to be this strong.

“Butler: We also learned that the Renzhe are working with him, and they are going around the Kingdom riding Wyverns and using The Divine Blacksmith made artifacts and weapons to free beastmen and elfs and destroying the churches that harm beastmen and attacking the bases of The Blue Sun Of Hope and news about such things are being spread by the Adventurers Guild, but the Prime Minister intends to prevent such information from reaching you and the First Prince’s faction at all cost, you’re sending the idiot..ehem the second prince away ruined his plans and right now he is planning to buy time until the second prince is back and in the meantime, he will try to kill the first prince to make it so the second prince is the only successor for the throne”

“Forten: …….. I would like to meet The Divine Blacksmith and talk to him once, he might agree to help me get rid of all the corrupted nobles and the Holy Church in one full swoop….”

Ryo’s POV…

Right now we are on our way to the Town of Adventurers Arnos. We spent three days connecting Armonis to the mountain village Wolfia, the name Wolfia was given to the village right after we connected it to Armonis, it was named after Wolf-san and the name was chosen by the people of the village to show him how much they loved him well, he was opposed to that at first because it’s embarrassing, but the people refused to change the name.

During those three days, I had the guild masters at Donatis and Duntia spread the information on what happened on Wolfia like the location and it being part of my domain and me declaring war on the Holy Church, and I asked the Renzhe to guide and protect the people living in peace with beastmen to Wolfia if they wanted to move there, and I had asked them to increase their numbers by training the beastmen who wanted to join them. And before departing, Kage told me that it’s mating season for the Shadow Hounds and for that he wanted to take some break inside the interdimensional house with his family, that’s why we are heading for Arnos right now to find a monster to pull the carriage in place of Kage, I chose this town because it’s near the Dragon Canyon where a lot of Earth Dragons live.

I plan to take a quest from the guild to subjugate some of them for their meat and hide and to tame one of them to pull the carriage, Earth Dragons are S rank monsters famous for their meat and hide, they are more like dinosaurs rather than Dragons though and their meat is considered one of the best meats in existence and it’s extremely rare to find on the market because it’s extremely to kill the Earth Dragons, and this time I plan to train my two poor students by having them fight the Earth Dragons.

“Shin: Sensei, where are we heading this time?”

“Ryo: To your next training ground, Arnos”

“Loti: Are we going to train in the Dungeon in Arnos?”

“Ryo: No, we are going to the Dragon Canyon, I’m going to have you two train by fighting the Earth Dragons there”

“Shin: wha..! Why make us fight such dangerous monsters?! They are S rank monsters you know!”

“Ryo: Don’t worry, it’s going to be fun, I’m going to have you fight with the Earth Dragons 4 vs 1 all four of us against on Earth Dragon and then after that, I’ll have Seth retire, and we will fight them with us three only and after that, we are going to separate, I’ll go alone and you two will fight Earth Dragons by yourselves, we are to keep fighting Earth Dragons till you two are able to kill them 1 vs 1”

“Shin: How is that fine!!...”

“Ryo: In the end, we are going to have a lot of Earth Dragons meat all for ourselves…”

“Loti: I’ll do it!!”

“Shin: M-Me too!!”

The trip took us two days with Kage running at full speed, but we have finally reached the Adventurers Town Arnos, right now we are 1 km from the town and I have stored the carriage in {Storage} and sent Kage to his home in the interdimensional house, that’s why we are walking to the town, after a short amount of time we reached the line of people who wants to enter the town and after that, we were able to enter the town safely.

We headed to the Adventurers Guild and upon entering there were some guys who started looking at us while grinning, they seemed to be drunk because their faces were flushed, they saw that we are a group of three kids and that they can take advantage of us, especially since we have a beautiful girl like Loti with us, and right now our armors look like normal leather armor that novice adventurers use.

“Drunk Fool No.1: ..Oi, this place is not for kids such as yourselves!”

“Drunk Fool No.2: Maybe we should teach them what it means to be Adventurers, Ghehehehe…”

“Drunk Fool No.3: What do you say, kids? Come with us, and we are going to teach you what it means to be Adventurers and for the cute thing over there you are going to come with us, and we are going to teach you what real man is Ghahaha..”

We tried to ignore them and started walking towards the receptionist who is looking troubled on her counter, but the three drunk adventurers didn’t like the fact that we ignored them and stood in front of us to cut our way.

“Drunk Fool No.2: Oi! You brats! How dare you ignore the great us! You are going to regret doing that!!”

One of the three drunk Adventurers caught me by the collar and the two behind him drew their weapons and started licking them, the receptionist in the back took out some kind of artifact and started to talk into it, as for me, I am smiling that’s because with this guy’s hand on my collar and the unsheathed weapons with the two in the back that means me fighting them will be considered as self-defense, Shin and Loti tried to pull out their weapons but I stopped them.

“Ryo: Shin and Loti go and keep the guild’s door open”

“Yes!”x2

“Drunk Fool No.2: Oi, don’t go ignoring me!!”

The guy with his hand on my collar tried to punch me but I caught his fist in my hand and crushed his fingers using Ryuken, he removed his other hand from my collar and started screaming “Gyaaaaaaaa!! My fingersssssss!” and at the same time his two friends attacked me one with a sword and the other one with a battle-ax but I caught both weapons in my hand and turned both of them into dust by sending shockwaves through them with Ryuken and then I caught their weapon-less arms and crushed their bones the same way I did to the first one and now all three of them are crouching in front of me crying while holding their crushed hands, I looked down at them, and they noticed that and started threatening me.

“Drunk Fool No.2: You think you can do this to us and get away with it?!”

“Drunk Fool No.3: Don’t you know who are we, you brat!! You’ll not get away with this!!”

“Ryo: I can do more, you know..”

I said that and placed my hand on the first guy’s arm and crushed his bones by sending shockwaves through his arm, and he started screaming, after that, I walked towards the other two and did the same to their legs and as they screamed, I returned to the first one and raised him by his collar.

“Drunk Fool No.2: …..You bastard!... you’ll not get away with….this, I ..swear I’ll get you for this…”

I then calmly used {Fear} on everyone in the guild but made it so the three Adventurers received my bloodlust head-on and at the same time I made so the effect on everyone else to the extent of them understanding that I released bloodlust at the three idiots and no more, the three adventurers screamed “Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-!!” and fainted while peeing themselves, I caught them from their collars and threw them outside the guild one at a time through the opened door, and from that door, an old man came and asked what happened in here.

“Old Man: …What happened in here?”

The receptionist came and explained what happened to the old man, and then he lowered his head to us and apologized.

“Manda: Sorry about what happened to you right after your arrival here, my name is Manda, and I am the guild master in this town, this town has a lot of guys such as those three and it’s my job to stop them from causing trouble but today I was meeting the lord of this town when I got contacted because of what was happening here and rushed back to find the table turned on them, you are really strong, mind telling me your rank?”

“Ryo: Can we do that in your office? I came here in the first place to talk to you”

“Manda: Understood, let’s go to my office”

We followed Manda to his office along with the receptionist, the guild master’s office was on the second floor and so after going up the stairs together we entered a room at the end of the corridor, inside the room was a desk with a chair behind it and two sofas in front of the desk with a small tea table in between them, Manda sat down on his chair and singled to us to sit on the sofas.

“Manda: Once again, sorry about what happened to you today, those guys are part of a thirty man party named Mard’s Fame, the party’s leader is a man named Mard, and he is an adventurer who worked alongside the lord of this town to protect the people who were building the gates of the dungeon and that’s why he became an adventurer contracted by the Lord himself, of course, there are other adventurers like him, but he is the only one who became arrogant and started assembling Adventurers with bad personalities to be part of his party and along with them he started to harass other adventurers by acting as if they were chosen beings and that started affecting the people of the town”

“Ryo: Did the Lord not take any action to banish them?”

“Manda: Actually, my meeting with him today was about that exact matter. Last week we discovered a new passage in the dungeon and to check for how dangerous that passage is we are going to form a Raid Team to explore that new passage and the Lord decided to give them one last chance by having them participate in the Raid Team as the last chance for them to redeem themselves without them knowing that”

“Ryo: Last chance?”

“Manda: Yes, if they started to harass the other adventurers during such a dangerous mission then that means that they have really gone too far and all of them are going to be turned into crime slaves for harassing the townspeople and Manda is going to be executed for going against the king’s orders of not harming the adventurers guild, but before that, the guild is going to revoke their guild cards and fine them for all the harassment they did”

“Ryo: I see, but why are you telling me this?”

“Manda: Hahaha! Because if my guess is accurate then you are Ryo The White Blaze, right?”

“Ryo: That’s right, how did you guess that?”

“Manda: From your appearance and fighting style, and since you are Ryo then you are The Divine Blacksmith, right?”

“Ryo: That’s right, here is my guild card”

“Manda: Hahaha! It’s a pleasure to meet you in person, welcome to Arnos! How can I help you? You said you came to Arnos to talk to me”

“Ryo: Yeah, I want to take a quest to go to the Dragon Canyon, I want to train my students in there and to tame one of the Earth Dragons in there”

“Manda: I see, but you’ll have to get permission from the Lord for that, but don’t worry he will give you his permission in no time, the guy is one of your fans, after all, it’s only that…”

“Ryo: He’ll ask for something in return, right?”

“Manda: Yeah, but I think he will only ask you to be part of Raid Team to see you fight in person”

“Ryo: If that’s the case then I have no problem with that”

“Manda: Then let me take you to the best inn in town and when your meeting with the Lord is decided I’ll visit you in the inn myself and inform you about that”

“Ryo: I’ll be in your care then”
