Vince slept on his bed that night in the inn, he had already understood from Cross why the City lord raged. But when he woke up, he saw that Amelia had left her bed and climbed into his sleeping while holding onto him! He smiled and got up , ordered food and readied it for her. She woke up and found the food, it reminded her of what her mother did for her, her eyes moistened as she ate.

Yesterday, Vince has already figured out the basics of sending thoughts to Amelia! He only needed to target her with his vision and just like he used his "Hyper-Focus" , he focused his senses into the words he wanted to send and then throw it towards her!

At first, because of his superior soul power! he almost hurt her, but after a bit he managed to tune it down and gain better control! enough to send a couple of words.

After they finished, they went down and found that Valerie was there as well, she saw them off while glancing at Vince who ignored her! He went to The Barzotti family territory, asked around and went deeper into the territoy where he found a mansion , It was pretty big and had a huge gate! a couple more buildings which he didn't know what they were for.

He proceeded for the gates where he was stopped by the guards

"who are you? and what is your business in the Barzotti family?" asked the guard

Vince grabbed the Madam's seal and showed it to the guard.

The guards bowed when they saw the seal! they were supposed to kneel in front of the madam and bow for anyone who had a higher seal! They then said :

"we are sorry your excellency! you may proceed forward to the guest's lodge. My comrade will show you the way while i send someone to notify the lady of your arrival"

Vince nodded and followed the guard to a rather big and nice looking house! Big enough to fit a thousand person, yet it was only reserved for guests! It had maids and butlers ready for your call!

He sat down. It took quite a while before a young lady came. She looked quite similar to Fiona, definitely her daughter. She was indeed beautiful but she did not have her mother's charm.

She was someone who looked down on commoners, thinking they were there only to serve them nobles! To her, They were from another superior race, her haughty look indeed made it look so! and what she said further proved it!

" I am Barzotti Emilia, so You're the so called talented young man my mother took pity on and hired huh? from now on you should give yourself up to the Barzotti family and we won't treat you badly!" she sat in front of him but did not look at him, she emphasized the Barzotti!

Vince ignored her and waited for her mother. It took one minute before Emilia turned around and found that he did not even notice her existence! she fumed and wanted to ask them to kick him out! how dare he a commoner forget his place and ignore the dignified her!

Vince glanced to his left then wrote a paper and threw it at a near a shelf , the note was caught midair by some invisible force! there was a concealing barrier laid there. Fiona was there the whole time! From the moment Vince entered the gates! she wanted to test him and see his reaction when he met her daughter and how would he react when they made him wait! His performance was indeed to her satisfaction as he did not complain but she was a little bit disappointed since he did not manage to realize her existence! while even her daughter did not know she was there. She had placer her hopes a litte bit too high! And just when she wanted to step up He glanced towards her direction which made her stop! and he then threw that paper that got blocked by the barrier and when she saw what he wrote she immediatly smiled wryly!

He wrote" have you seen enough?", He had launched Hyper-focus the moment he got close to The Barzotti gates and had already noticed her when he stepped in the guest lodge. But he just played along.

She stepped out with a smile and said :

"It was indeed a right choice to recruit you, it seems that there is more than meets the eye to you! now i can feel assured with the task I assign you!"

Emilia got surprised. She was a mage and sensitive to the flow of magic in the air yet did not feel anything ! and her mother was there before she even got here, yet this guy was already aware this entire time ! she saw what he wrote and got even more angry! It was as if he was playing a game with kids! But she did not say anything since her mother was now here.

It was now that Amelia who sat there and everyone forgot her existence spoke :

" Big brother asked what task do you have in mind?"

" oh you're the little girl from yesterday, you're quite beautiful now!" praised Fiona

she then continued:

" At first, I was gonna give you a position as a lieutenant in the private army but now I changed my mind!"

Emilia was flabbergasted when she heard it! a lieutenant was some one who was at least a 4 star path chooser!( warrior / archer / mage etc!") This one was already a 4 star path chooser at such young age! She was a 2 star mage and everyone called her a genius but in front of Vince she had no qualifications to brag!

Unfortunately they were wrong! All of the three brothers were In The peak of 1 star path chooser yet their prowess was a lot higher because they were forsaken! Only Vince who broke through to a mysterious realm when fighting the winged wolf had a little higher battle prowess than the other two for now! Each Forsaken had a different ability to seize power under certain conditions which differ from a forsaken to another! The trio can steal inherited skills from certain beasts, modify them into their own in a better suited format! Their strength now was equal to 4 star early stage with Vince middle stage!

"I guess that your strength must be around peak 4 star , so I want you to be my daughter's bodyguard!"

" what!" Emilia screamed not knowing wether about the 4 star peak or about the bodyguard fact!

Vince calmly wrote " NO! lieutenant better!"

Emilia fumed when she saw this and was about to start a chant and attack him!

Fiona giggled and said

" either that or start as a mansion guard!"

Vince calmly wrote " guard". Emilia had enough! she started chanting and her mother stopped her , she found it hard to breath so she left and stamped her feet along the way!

"Ok! enough jokes! you'll be her personnal bodyguard! and protecting her is now your mission! You'll get 5 golds a month! 10 force increasing medecine and you can choose a top 1 star sword and I'll give you an authority badge equal to a lieutenant! I think this is enough to show sincerety!"

Vince nodded and looked towards Amelia who then said to Fiona:

"Big brother said instead of a top 1 star sword give him metals and recommend him to a black smith"

"Oh why is that?" asked Fiona intrigued

" Big brother said Customized sword , better prowess!" Amelia said cutely!

" Then ok , so it shall be, give me the blue print and I'll provide the best materials and a good blacksmith but it can only be a top1 star sword!" Fiona nodded and when she looked at Amelia, she smiled and tought it would've indeed a pity if she stayed a slave. She was a perfect candidate for a concubine! They could use her later when she grow up to Grasp influence!

The sword that Vince had in mind was a katana that the japanese in his last life used but with a bit of modifications to enhance its toughness and speed!

" You can stay here, I'll ask them to build you a special place. By the way, If you need to relieve yourself, any maid here is at your beck and call!" She then turned around and left!
