Akira sat in the hall of records for the hundredth time this week. She was combing over the scant records of the ship that came to be known as Bloodshed. Few records of this ship even remained, but Akira was determined to not only piece together her last days on the high seas but also where she rested now. The last known sighting of the notorious pirate ship was in the waters somewhere between Greenland and Iceland but it was entirely possible that she’d limped further south closer to Newfoundland or somewhere in the Laborador Sea.

She sighed. She’d been over the same documents multiple times and learned nothing new. She set down the document she had been reading and rubbed the spot between her eyes. She was getting nowhere with this and she needed to have some idea of where to begin the search for this legendary ship. She set aside the documents concerning the ship and turned her attention to the documents on the ship’s captain, Anwen Wolfe.
