《The devils journey》The goblin

A cave deep in the forest bustled with the cries of newborn children, the cries became louder and more abundant as time continued to pass.
An hour later the cries became deafening as 30 small shriveled babies lied crying and rolling around the dirty wet cave. Standing not far from the group of babies was 15 children like creatures with white skin, long pointed ears, and messy dirty hair filled with blood and dirt. At the forefront of the group was a bigger goblin yet seemed to be long past its golden days as it hunched over supporting itself with an Oakwood cane. On its face there were various scars showing that it had many battles long ago, one of the scars ran along its left eye, the eye in question was opened yet it had no pupil or sign of vision.
Within the crying group of newborns there were 4 who sat still not uttering a single cry, the group of crying children also stopped crying after some time and laid still unknown if they are died or sleeping.
Disappointment and great sadness flashed through the old goblins eyes as memories flashed through its old eye; the old crippled goblin used to be a human from another planet, maybe another universe altogether. It can’t seem to remember its old life anymore not that it really mattered as it knows its reaching the end of its life.
Years ago something that seemed way too long for a regular goblin, even a hobgoblin, on a stormy night inside the cave the old goblin resided for its last moments in life there was another birth fest as crying of goblin babies sounded out despite the flashes of lightning that disrupted the forest making ever animal not dare to make a sound lest they anger the heavens and get punished by lightning. Within the cave the cave held a lot more goblins then it did years later with 100 babies birthed that day. The babies all cried out with pain and fear from the unknown after birth except a small few who lay on the cold dark cave staring at the ceiling of the cave with curiosity and slight curiosity as something flooded their minds.

One of the few babies is the old goblin who hanged on deaths door all those years later, it turned out that these few are humans from a world not filled with magic and monsters something completely different from this monster filled world that ran on magic, a place where science had no place. For some unknown reason that even years later no one who transferred over from their old planet still didn’t find out. But the few baby goblins all seemed to have some special ability which made them strong, which made them the chosen one, all except the old baby who despite being quite never heard nor felt the voice which granted them their abilities. The useless baby was the one and only old goblin, the only one left of the transferred humans.
Even at its death bed it wonders how it survived, mostly the sheer luck and some use of intelligence and instinct. But, all it knew is that all its friends are dead, and it doesn’t have some cheat to help it evolve and become stronger and hard work and determination only gets you so far when you have no talent.
The old goblin stood at the birthing chamber every birth season hoping for another group of humans just like it was but sadly it never came. With a small number of survivors and newcomers it decided to officially stay in the cave as its final resting place.
The reason why disappointment and sadness flashed through its old eye is because it knew that this was it, it could no longer stop death from overtaking its body and taking its soul to the abyss. The sadness and disappoint disappeared just as fast as it appeared as the old goblins body collapsed where is stood freighting the group of goblins around it. Looking forward as its eyes clouded it wished it could do everything over again and this time it would no longer be a coward as it was in the beginning and let his friends die and let things progress the way it did. But it knew it was impossible, still it wished with everything in its heart for a second chance.

Death came swiftly as his eyes closed for the last time never to open again, or so he thought.
Many years ago, on the stormy night lightning flashed and scared countless creatures in the forest as piercing cries resounded in a cave full of goblins. Within this group of goblins there were a few who lied quietly with their eyes clouded with information and within that small group every single small baby had information flash through its eyes, all the silent few.
