《Undead Anima》Chapter 5: Hunt

"Are you ready hime?" (Merry)
"Yes, Merry!"
Merry and I were heading out to see the other people in this small village.
I wore an armor named, Death empress garb, and also I carry the three weapons I have.
As Merry open the door, the bright light of the sun greeted me.
The rustling of the trees and the smell of grass in the air.
The ground was decorated with greenery.
Despite being a clan of undead, this was livelier than what I thought.
We pass to several people and they greeted me warmly.
The busy people started to flock to me and warmly greet me, presenting me with various things.
Merry and I headed towards the forest because we have a purpose in there.
We are in the deep parts of the forest.
"Are you ready hime?" (Merry)
"Yes!"
"I will go now, but we will watch you from the distance." (Merry)
Merry headed back towards the village
I'm all alone right now holding the scythe.
"Let's hunt!"
➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖
"Graveyard!"
A giant stone in a shape lf a cross appeared in front of me blocking an attack from a dire wolf, a type of monster.
I learned from Vox-sensei about the no chanting, chanting without no Aria but cost a lot of mana.
"Take this!"
I swung my scythe cutting the head off.
The body of the wolf didn't disappear like the game does but, there's nothing I can do about it.
Now that's five wolf and two slimes in total.

Level up?
And new skills obtained, also a real necromancy skill.
"Yosh~ let's try it, let's go deeper!"
I raise my hand up and cheerfully walk deeper to the forest.

『 Vox POV』
"Hime is gradually getting better at hunting!"
"Thank goodness she's fine!" (Merry)
"Have faith in her, if she ever get in danger I will jump in to save her!"
"I will leave everything to you Vox!" (Merry)
I cancel the telepathy and continue to watch Hime.
After killing that last wolf she gained a level and I think obtained a new skill.
She's heading towards the boss of the forest and I think this will be a good experience to her.
➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖
"Summon skeleton!"
Five skeletons appeared from the ground.
"Attack!"
The skeletons headed towards the green humanoid holding a club, I think it's called a goblin.
The goblin swung the club and hit the skull of the skeleton. The head break leaving the skeleton body that's still moving.
The other skeleton started to attack the goblin by anyway as possible, like punching and kicking. But the goblin also protect itself by swinging its club, breaking a few bones of the skeletons.
I think this will be a while, so I swung my scythe hitting the chest of the goblin.
The skeletons seems in tatters so I told them to scout the area.
"I thought they would be a great help, maybe when I level up more I can increase their rank."
I continue to walk deeper to the forest.
The monsters appearing are all goblins in this part, some are horned rabbits.

That's twenty goblins and eight horned rabbits.

『 Level up bonus:
Skill: Telekinesis LVL ① obtained』
A new skill?
When you think of it, God's can control things so maybe it was part of it or maybe not.
I tried practicing the telekinesis skill and tried to move a pebble.
The pebble move the way I think it would do, the pebble move without any failure. I think my mana is the cause of it.
As I continue onwards, I encounter a cave that is full of goblins, this must be their den.
I enter the cave and slay the goblins in my way.
Also, graveyard and summon skeleton skills have an amazing effect as a combo skill. The more tombstones I summon, the more skeletons appear. In result, I progress very fast and headed deeper inside the cave.

【 Conditions been met: passive skill 《 curse touch LVL ① >> curse touch LVL ②】
【 Conditions been met: passive skill 【 eye of death LVL ① >> eye of death LVL ②】
No new skills but my passive increase, from what I know, passive skill level up from continued uses.
But curse touch and eye of death, I don't think of it being use or I was just unconsciously using it.
The curse touch makes anything I touch be curse and deal continues damage and also have a random status ailments. Eye of death is the same, by just looking, I can deal damage and also I think this skill has the power to see death.
Increasing level means that it became strong.
I ordered the skeletons to go ahead of me.
And as I pass through the path where the skeletons are, the scattered bones of my skeletons and the damaged bodies of goblins occupied the path.
But the bones of my skeletons have stopped in front of a mysterious door.
If what I think is true, then this must be a boss room. I can feel something powerful emitting behind this door.
But, I'm a curios person and I can't calm down if I don't see what's behind this door.
If the situation is getting dangerous I can just ran away.
Here we go.
I push the door in front of me and a giant humanoid creature is sitting in the middle of a massive room.
"A goblin king!!"

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.
