I opened the tab I had for the forum after hearing a ping. I soon saw that the servers were back up. Although, it was followed by a slew of insults thrown my way. Seeing intellectual types try to insult someone is quite funny, so I stayed, hoping to see what they could come up with.

______ : @ABC's ! The maintenance is finally over you dolt!

But seriously, you thought something like that, without any senses or muscles, could possibly work? Are you really the ABC's?

Thanks for making my holiday so 'relaxing'... _______ : Sorry ______, and the others... I just couldn't deal with the workload by myself. You saw how much work there was.

Anyway, thanks for discovering it @ABC's. As you can guess, it was enough of a headache that we had to call in our whole staff to do it. It turns out your 'mimic' class wasn't the only one to be affected, some class skills like ghost skill 'vanish' had similar problems, but thankfully no one got stuck for too long. ______ : I know, but I'm still pissed!

I mean, where the fuck is eight!? _____ : Oh, she's apparently deep into her pregnancy, and plus she's an artist. ________ : Really? Well damn... I knew she got married, but...

Well, let's congratulate her when she comes back then. What about ten? Also, hi, I just got a coffee. _____ : Welcome back. Want to insult ABC's for making you work? He's online now. _________ : He is? He hasn't said anything... ABC's : ^ _________ : Oh, guess he is then...

Well, if everyone else is doing it, I'm gonna insult you too you arse.

I know this is your job, but couldn't you have just not found such an annoying glitch! I'm the fucking social media guy, not a coder! ABC's : So you guys are here to blow off steam, correct? _____ : Basically. I think they ran out of insults, so you should be free to leave.

Thanks again for finding this bug before people actually became trapped, and I hope you like the next event. :P ABC's : Oh, I'm just doing my job. Also, what's this about the next event? _____ : No spoilers. But it should be more entertaining for you than the first one. [ABC's has left the room]

Soon after leaving the chat room, I closed down my computer and started up MoM again, hoping for it to actually be day-time by the point I logged in.

Going through the same, uninspired loading screen, I was soon happily surprised, I was placed neatly in front of the library, with no punishment imposed or anything taken from me for 'breaking' the game.

I looked around and saw I was on a normal street, with one large building serving as the library in the center of my view.

The crumbling Gothic architecture hanging the 'library' sign on its door was in front of me, towering above all the buildings around it. The grey rain clouds intensified around it, making it look haunted. All it needed was some lightening, and I would've given it an Oscar for its performance on the spot.

The image was contradicted by some people scrambling into it in a panic. I was initially confused to why, but as cold droplets started to land on me, I quickly asked my own question.

I stood there, getting soaked as I mentally punished myself for my idiocy. I even saw the people there

Like them, I too soon rushed into the building, now quite chilly, as I stepped into the door. Initially, the insides were as dim as the exterior. Few candles lit the cramps corridors, grey stone coating every inch. There was a staircase immediately to my left, and a door, which I assumed lead into the main building, was up a couple tall steps.

I went to the door, which was large, wooden and open, and peeked inside. I was greeted by a warm looking wooden room, bookshelves towering over the far side of the room, as the front was crammed with rows of seats and tables, a counter, with a masked fellow behind it, stood left of me.

There wasn't a queue, so I greeted the fellow as I walked up to then, " Hi. This is the library correct?"

The fellow mumbled something, before actually looking my way.

I saw their large, deep green eyes identifying every detail of me for a while, before finally replying. "So what race are you supposed to be then? Humans don't wear hoods sonny," they asked, completely ignoring my question. I'd say they sounded masculine, but their voice was too croaky to really tell.

I looked at them confused, I mean, they too were wearing a hood which hid most of the mask they wore. Compared to me, this guy was way more suspicious.

They noticed my inquiring look, and succinctly answered, "Oh, sorry. I'll show if you show."

"Sure," I replied, knowing that I was indeed a human. "Shall we go somewhere private, or is this place good enough?" I asked, noting only a handful of people off in a corner.

"Here's fine. On a count of three, let's reveal," they said, grabbing their hood as they started to count.

"One, two, three..." when they said 'three', we both revealed. Two pointy ear poked out of her head as her hood came off, followed by a full head of long black hair. Her large green eyes becoming even larger as she saw my 'human' head.

"B-b-but, y-your even wearing a hood!" she protested, quickly hiding her ears as she brought attention towards herself.

"I'm a human, who doesn't care about fashion or race. Anyway, onto the library. Mind giving me a tour?" I asked, swiftly changing the subject.

"It's also unusual for humans to go here, those people in the corner are also elves..." she said, somehow in disbelief still.

"I'm a human who wants to read something. Unless that's taboo or something, in which case, I guess I could care less," I said, attempting to express genuine apathy in my tone.

She shrugged, realizing the fruitlessness of her words.

"I get it. Please wait to find the blessed forms..." she finally said, rummaging around her desk as she spoke.

She stopped soon after and gave me a small booklet with illustrations inside.

"This is a guide to the library. Now, unless you want to become a member, enjoy reading," she explained, finally ending the conversation.

-

I rummaged around a few shelves, finding all I really needed to continue.

I assume there's a bit of lying or overstatements in these, but I get the basic picture now. There are five dominant races, including Humans, Devils, Elves, Amphibians and plant-kin. Each having their own countries as a result of their sentience. The devils, supposedly being a sixth that got demoted.

Confident in my knowledge, I to read some 'lore', books about specific clans and armies, and how they were successful. I skimmed through about twenty, realizing they were basically the same story.

These groups were primarily phalanxes of tanks, samurai and sword users with some healers, with battle mages being in the back. This made sense, and I learned how some of the skills worked.

For instance, one clan called 'Doom_Bringers' specialized in only samurai and healers. The samurai used layering buffs, like 'protection' and 'sharpening_stone' on themselves, stating how such moves are slightly more effective on the samurai with the skill than when using it on others for some reason. The armies also seemed to favor area of effect attacks over normal targeting ones, since everyone hit counted towards the combo bonus, which is a thing by the way.

Reading about these, I saw no mentions of similar attributes with my classes skills. Hell, I only read one or two mentions to Pirates being in such clans...

I thought about it for a while, before checking my own skill list, currently standing at this.

Name DokiDoki19 Class Succubus Level 31 Class skills ["Bind" = Mass_Leech.], ["Stun" = Leech.], ["Heal" = Blood_Transfusion.], ["Intimidate" = Vampiric_Bite.], [passive = Life_Absorb.], [passive = Attraction_Resistance.], [passive = Attraction_Increase.] Sub-class skills <"How cute..." = Object_Examination.>, <"Eh?" = Mob_Examination.>, <"Possess" = Mob_Tame.>,<"Summon" = Summon_(Tamed_Mob)>,,<"Form" = Transform_Form_(Form_Name)> Weapon skills ("Have at me" = Power_Charge.), (passive = Staff_Hit.), (passive = Dual_Wield.), (passive = _Magic_Boost.) Additional skills /'Stop' = Skill_Cancellation.,/"Log Out" = Log_Out Achievement skills N/A Equipment On-Hand None Off-Hand None Head-wear None Inner-Wear None Outerwear Ragged_Clothes Foot-Wear Ragged_Shoes Accessories N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A, N/A.

As I looked at it, I finally realized something. There weren't any stats to go with them, so I couldn't really decide which ones were necessary. I can't believe I didn't bother to look for them earlier, but since I had time now, I used some to look for these evasive stats...

-

After scouring through my inventory, I soon realized why. There was a different table for skills and EXP of weapons and skills.

I genuinely slapped my own face for not realizing it sooner, causing me to apparently lost 10 hp. Better not do that twice more...

I soon opened them all, the Stat's table, the Weapon Affinity table, and the Skill affinity tables, to see what they looked like. I seemed weak, especially for my level, especially damage wise, so I wanted to find the cause, and hopefully remove it. And I also wanted to see which skills I haven't used, so I could change them for skills I might use to replace them.

Stats Level 31 AP 16000/16000 Defense 36 Damage 36 HP 20/30* Speed 98 Stamina 31 Spare 160 * - Your class prevents you from upgrading your base health. Weapon affinity (Used only) Weapon type Level XP Sword 5 261/2500 Staff 2 823/1000 Skill affinity (Equipped only) Skill name Level XP Mass_Leech 7 376/3500 Leech 3 211/1500 Blood_Transfusion 9 896/4500 Vampiric_Bite 1 0/500 Life_Absorb 10 MAX Attraction_Resistance 7 829/3500 Attraction_Increase 7 829/3500 Object_Examination 1 0/500 Mob_Examination 2 600/1000 Mob_Tame 5 200/2500 Summon 3 0/1500 Barter_Increase 2 910/1000 Power_Charge 3 188/1500 Staff_Hit 1 310/500 Dual_Wield 3 777/1500 Magic_Boost 2 103/1000 Form 3 300/1500

After looking at them clearly, and noting them down, I soon made sense of the numbers.

The stats seemed to be related to the level plus five or something. Stamina literally being the level. The more I used weapons, the higher my level with them, although I didn't really know what that meant, or the rate of leveling, but it seemed to be the same with skills.

I examined my stats closer and realized my first major fault. I didn't really know the scale of the stats but compared to my Speed, my damage and defense skills seemed really low. Since I could dodge, I didn't really need defense, but my lack of damage was worrying. I then saw I had about 160 spare points, that I've never used, and I slapped myself again...

With some thought, I decided that boosting my stamina and attack would be beneficial, so put sixty points in both. With my remaining points, I put thirty in AP, which gave me a bonus three thousand instead of just thirty, and put the remaining ten in speed. Confident in my picks, I accepted them immediately, and a bit of a lag during it...

My stats now looked like this:

Stats Level 31 AP 19000/19000 Defense 36 Damage 96 HP 30/NA Speed 108 Stamina 91 Spare 0

I then looked at my skill's affinity table, but after an hour of thought considering my new stats, I didn't want change any of them in case I started to use my unused abilities. I had the same conclusion with my weapon affinity, although I had less choice with that.

After this, I just packed up and left the library, wanting to go somewhere to test my new strength. The was a dungeon a couple miles south of Skimmington, so went there.
