《The Guide》This isn't a chap but something I should've said a long time ago.

First thing's first, I apologize for not writing any chaps for this novel and I deeply apologize for not informing anyone all this time as to the reason why.
I don't know why I decided to write this rant now and not earlier. Maybe it's some guilt about leaving with no explanation. Anyways, If you want to, hear me out.
A few years ago, MikeWe and I teamed up and began working on a series you might know called Lord of Goblins. We've just finished volume 3 a while ago and episode 25 of the webtoon's been out since Jun 24.
That's not the only reason though. Before working on LoG, I got hit with a severe case of writer's block and even when I was ready, thanks to my cowardly tendencies, I was extremely anxious and feared disappointing my readers(no matter how few they were).
I'm the type of guy who'd either jump the gun or backpedal after thinking things through and given time, I can imagine a thousand scenarios of everything going wrong.
While The Guide wasn't the first novel I wrote(the first was basically a fanfic "inspired" by a more popular work that I wrote in my early teens on Quizilla), it was a work of passion.
It was full of flaws, grammar mistakes, inconsistent characters, and high levels of vulgarity that seemed to be written by a perverted mad man, but it was the beginning. Without it, I likely would've never met Mike and worked with him on LoG and would've never tried working on a book.
I loved this novel so much that we even tried fixing it, but sadly, it needs a full rewrite from scratch. That'll take a while, a looooong while before we can do since we have some projects down the line(Mainly LoG).

I just want to say that one day, even if it takes years, I hope I'll give everyone who gave this novel a chance some justice and do a proper rewrite or some spiritual successor.
A lot would change once that happens. Such as switching the time period to the neolithic and modifying the premise. I'm no expert on evolution so I was waaaay over my head when I first started this.
Another thing would be giving the characters more life and improving the world building. I'd also take the sensitive material down a few notches(I wonder how Wing and the others haven't yeeted this novel to oblivion yet. They might if they see this but oh well)
Anyways, I hope I haven't fucked this up and you all understand. Thanks for hearing my rant!

Blood and Gold
Having failed to manifest any attunements on the Testing day, Elias is disowned and cast out from his clan, the royal clan of the Holstein kingdom. Unwilling to stay down and to accept the clan's view of unattuned individuals having no power, Elias seeks to grasp onto and change his fate. If he can't move mountains with his fist, can't he at least move mountains of gold? Elias would show his clan and the world that even an unattuned individual is worthy of respect, even that given to the strongest. This is his journey. Darius proved his mettle and showed everyone his potential when he attuned to both the aspects of fire, the royal element, and blood. With a fast-track to general all but guaranteed, the only thing he could have hoped for was for his twin, his dearest brother, to join him by his side. Unfortunately, Elias tested as unattuned, the level that was reserved for weaklings that deserved to be cast out and trampled. Or at least, that's what the clan says. If his brother couldn't hit with the strength of a legend, didn't he just have to hit twice as hard to compensate? Darius would show the weaklings around him just what the apex of diligence and talent looked like. This is also his journey.
