Along the way, we discuss about future plans in this country. Every one of the department heads have agreed on my proposal in making a gun since their skills, the AOE Amayan skill, are way too overpower and destructive in nature. It’s not that I prohibit them to use their AOE skill, but it deems impractical in killing small fries while leaving huge property damage, it’s like using a nuclear bomb to kill a single ant. After the last battle, I realize the need to be practical in dealing things in certain situations.

Even I am the king, the Queen has the most authority here, while we are slowly adapting some democratic rules and leadership here, making a mix of monarchy and democracy concepts. I need to inform the department heads and to watch their reactions especially the negative ones. And it seems they agree to my proposal, as they also have a hard time or problems regarding “huge damage to property” after using their AOE Amayan skill.

I explain to them what is “gun” and its advantage and disadvantage. First is to show them the guns by displaying my homemade guns, haha, yes its homemade since I made it back at home, in Great Phatag. The first gun I show them is a hand gun modelled after the famous gun, “Desert Eagle”, I call it [Eagle Joe]. Aside from it’s the most famous guns used in most films, it’s the most powerful semi-automatic pistol and its gas operated which the rifles use back in Earth so it really packs a punch.

Next I introduce an assault rifle which is modelled after M16 and AK47, and I call it [Joe 1647]. Since it’s homemade, I made some improvements and modifications of it. Then I introduce a sniper rifle, modelled after Dragunov, and I retain its name since its sounds cool. Hehe. The I introduce pump-action shotgun, auto-shotgun and grenade launcher, I didn’t name it yet since they are cool enough.

I made these things back then because I have more time and somewhat bored. These homemade guns are customizable or ready for custom add-ins, silencer, laser or night vision sight, stabilizer or any vision or enhancements that you can think of.

Then I tested my homemade guns, first targets are pots lined in front of me which was 5 meters away. Every time I shoot and break the pots in the distance, the audience have surprise look. They only hear the sound, then the object that I target breaks. Well it just breaks because it just made of earth. Then the next lineups are breastplates and armor plates which was the loot we get after we kick those previous bastards before.

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

I hit the armors; they are mostly made of iron or metals, up close and long distance, while using different homemade guns. The surprise audience before are now having a pale face and terrifying expression. Why are they somewhat afraid? Is there something wrong here? Okay let’s proceed with the grenade launcher.

*Bang*

[“Ouch!!”] audience sour faces

The armor turned into pieces of metal. The audience is having hard faces and some closes their eyes. What the hell is there problem? So I ask some people nearby.

Joel: “What’s their problem?”

“Ah yes your highness, you see….the thing…is..”

Joel: “Come on speak up any problems….Come on speak straight away”

“I’m sorry…Your highness.. the thing is at first we are glad and surprised seeing an ancient weapon but when you shoot those armor plates, we can imagine the painful feeling and agony of people wearing it. You see we are scared of the destructive power of the “gun” and in its performance, as long as there so called ”bullets” it can fire continuously and if properly use, it can kill multiple enemies which surpasses the swords performance. It has range and multiple target advantage compared to a sword it really is a terrifying weapon that we never see before, that last one, “Grenade Launcher?”, is the most destructive it makes my body shivers but our AOE skill is way more destructive of course”

Oh, so that’s why they are afraid huh? The man becomes talkative and precise in talking.

Well, when you compare the performance of this gun, a modern weapon, its advantage is instant kill, range and can kill multiple foes. Indeed I understand their frightful fear; their battle formations and swords skills will be useless against the guns. After they witness the plate armor scatter into pieces which was blown by grenade launcher effortlessly, their fear level starts to rise in an abnormal level. Sigh.

Joel: “Ok people, I know you are afraid of this destructive power but your AOE skill is more destructive you know? Its impractical to use it against small fries, you will only satisfy that skill by using against strong and big monsters. These guns may powerful but we need to quickly eliminate our enemies right? And don’t worry, swords or any melee weapons will not be banished because guns have limit and that’s ammo.

And in the future, we will eventually face invaders coming from east and south that’s why I propose these. So is it Deal or no deal!?”

The crowd starts to murmur and chatter, most of them have serious faces, they are thinking about future wars and I admit that we are short in military so I introduce guns since 1 man holding a gun can eliminate more than twenty people, so in other words, a thousand men can repel 20, 000 enemies. There are no potential magicians here since they lack magic teachers and magic takes years to practice and the people here are not suited to be magicians. That’s why I introduce guns and to minimize the damage of property due to excessive damage of Amayan AOE skill. Let’s be practical shall we.

Random men/women:

“If that’s the case I will use the guns to protect my home!!”

“Yeah, I hate those invading bastards!!”

“I will protect my family and my home”

“With these I can properly protect the rice and corn fields!”

“Your highness it’s a deal!”

Oh, the crowd was showing patriotism towards their country. I am glad that they are fighting for their homes and to protect their loved ones and people they know. I’m happy that they realize something good. And they find something to protect even it’s the rice and corn fields.

There are many reasons why I introduce guns now and one of them is to securely secure the Queendom from enemies and monsters while keeping check the safety of soldiers.

“Good, then tomorrow, I will teach you the art of gun and sword fighting.”

[“Yes sir!!”]

After that, we proceed to every department’s issues and some proposed improvements. All of it is Queen’s ideas, the department heads for now are just managers in a certain field, they manage and report the development of things and they also can also propose ideas to help my Queen. It’s a long day discussing of things here and there. It seems that I need to make things or prototypes like sewing machine, cement, some farming tools, cooking utensils and food recipes. Sigh. Food which was essential to everyone so it’s not weird as my beloved Queen wants to taste new dishes.

She has many plans and all of her selected department heads are hardworking and very enthusiastic, and that’s a good thing. They also want to see the changes in this country towards progress and prosperity. I can only pray that things will go smoothly and I will do my best to repel any harmful elements that block or hinders this country, my nation’s progress.

Queen Eva: “Regarding the education of our people how was it?”

Head of Education: “80% of our people have already learned basic writing and reading and can do simple Math calculations thanks to skillbooks provided by our king. We just wait for some time to people get used to it.”

Queen Eva: “Good, the more people learn basic education, the more our work gets easier in the future and check any people who have potential in administrative work”

Good, the progress in education field is smoothly going. My Queen indeed plan ahead, the more people who are educated, the more easier the works in the future, meaning more skillful workers. For example, a common citizen can easily do simple calculations, read and write letters, which led to open different jobs and he/she will become useful in different fields. He/she can do multiple jobs either trade, crafting or office work, our citizens will become ready and prepared.

Our citizens can do multiple jobs easier and it can finish a product or work in a faster way. I didn’t add an advanced education skillbook or the like, since it’s not right to do so and it’s like putting the cart before the horse. And of course, there are limits to things that I can provide and its bad thing to make all of them too knowledgeable, let’s give them the chance to discover or learn things on their own.

Head of Construction Works: “We have a problem in delivering raw materials from the mining site because of the heavy rain yesterday, the road is so muddy and I think that our current projects will be delayed for one week”

Queen Eva: “That’s a problem that we need to solve right away since other departments are depended on you guys, its bad if we get delay more or less a month if this goes on such a bad timing of the rain. Mmmhmm, if we can invent something like that!”

Queen Eva wanders her eyes to me and her department heads then back to me again. The department heads are confuse, only the Queen knows.

Joel: “Ah, if its transport, I can do that, no problem”

Queen Eva: “Really? I can’t wait to ride that thing”

“Ride?”

“The thing”

“riding a thing?”

Hey department heads, that sounds like we do something lewd, cut it out please. Hah, anyway it’s up to your imaginations. I will just complete it the end of the day since I have a power to do so and the materials needed is just nearby.

After our meeting, I proceed to industrial zone to present my prototypes to the blacksmiths and craftsmen there. I might introduce new jobs today, the gunsmith and trucksmith or vehicle maker.

Albert: “I never get bored whenever you use magic, your highness!”

Joel: “Hahaha, you praise me too much, don’t worry I will leave the blueprint as usual, Albert”

Albert is the head inventor of this nation, he likes making things or tools and he has potential. Even though he is like a head blacksmith before, making weapons, his job is to make or copy everything that I made and mass produce them. He is like my assistant in making things.

What I did now is making the tools discussed in the meeting, tools, things that improves the lives of these people. Because of my [Earth Knowledge] merging with [World Knowledge], I can make devices that instead run by electricity, it runs in mana. Hahaha. I already made a refrigerator powered by mana that cools food and extends its expiration rate. I made an air conditioner that cools an entire room depending on the room’s size because we are near the equator so this place has tropical climate. There are magic lightning here, but it’s brightness is so inferior to fluorescent lamps so I made florescent lights and lamps here. And many more, all of them are powered by mana which is free in this world like air.

All of my inventions are efficient and guaranteed to work since I always reconsider the flaws of the technology and improve it to a next level. How do I make things so fast and very efficient? It’s magic, I can control things to an atomic level, I can control them, merge, split, harden or anything that I can think of to make devices. As of now I already completed the tools that are discussed in the meeting and the only last thing that I need to do is to hand out the blueprint of guns and the transport thing which my Queen, my beloved, wants to ride.

It takes me 5 hours to complete the transport, since I make it less complex, more durable and has long life longevity. I made some parts here and there, the windshields, the driver’s seat, tires, brakes, and many more. Yes, what I made is a vehicle found in Earth, since it’s for transport huge amount of goods, I make the very first truck in this world. It is powered by multiple sources, one is mana, two is enhanced fuel cell that will not explode like a bomb and the last is thermal energy using the engine’s heat. I make this type of engine since gasoline makes the nature polluted and there are no gasolines nearby. I added two additional sources since there are areas like Wamahika or no magic zones and to make the vehicle keep running if either one of the engine malfunctions.

“What is that? A carriage?”

“what a weird carriage, where the hell we put the horses?”

“Indeed and what’s with these wheels made of?”

“yeah its not wood, but when you punch it or feel it… it bounces back. ..weird”

“Why are you flustered now? We all already making weird tools from the very start!! GO back to your works”

Albert’s men, henchmen, I mean co-workers is making ‘weird to their eyes things’ are flustered and very curious like a cat after seeing the truck. They inspect and feel every nook and corner of the vehicle. Hahaha. Now seeing them like natives touching the truck. I can’t wait to show them how this ‘weird thing’ works like a ‘horseless carriage’. Albert, the head of these curious ignorant people, shouted with scolded words towards his co-workers. How can these people get flustered to this thing, when they are making ‘weird tools’ everyday? HAhaha. Let’s start the engine.

Joel: “Okay people go towards the open field”

Albert: “You heard your highness orders..now move out!”

[“Yes!!”]

The workers who touch the vehicle before runs towards the open field, even the people who are still in the middle of their work, making ‘weird things to them’ tools, they also rush outside. Since the industrial zone has lesser buildings resulting in big space for now, I can test drive this big truck. When the building is empty from people, I start the show.

*VROOM*

*VRROOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM*

A strange sound starts getting louder and louder while it gets near to the audience. What appears before them, is the ten-wheeler truck roaming around the big area in a speed far greater than any carriage that they are seeing in their entire lives. All of the audience have big bulging eyes, seeing the speed and the might of the truck’s speed and performance running around the open field.

[Sounds of truck brakes]

Then it stops before the crowd.

“What a speed”

“Indeed, what a horrifying speed while having massive size”

“Well it’s our king’s invention”

“Yeah you’re right, his inventions are way beyond our comprehension”

The people are discussing each other about my truck’s performance. They are indeed surprise and shock, I like watching this people. Every time I introduce new technology to them, they always surprise and shock, man does they don’t tire from their ‘shocking behavior’? Now let’s proceed to the next event.

Joel:“ Alright you guys, who wants to ride?”

Everybody raises their hands to ride my truck, but I only allow 20 people to ride together with the heavy things like rocks, metals and everything that seems heavy for a carriage to hold. The people have questioned faces to my actions and orders.

The people are dumbfounded why I request to load it heavy plus twenty people, does it make it this ‘horseless carriage’ slow? Or unable to run due to the burden of the heavy load. Right now the load is more or less 1 or 2 tons plus the twenty people riding on it. That’s the thoughts of the people not knowing my trucks performance even they admit its monstrous speed before.

Joel: “Hold on tight!!!”

*VROOM*

*VRROOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM*

What they see the truck running in the open field like the heavy load of 1 or 2 tons is like a joke, even though one can say that the speed is slightly lessen due to gravity and the people board on it, it is still running beyond the normal carriage speed. They are shock and surprise again, what the hell is happening? How can this horseless carriage able to run while having a heavy load?

A horse drawn carriage can run up to approximately 5 – 8 mph depending on the terrain, breed of horse, climate and most importantly the load. The lesser the load, the faster it goes. A horse needs rest and eat. So a carriage has many things to consider.

“A monster!”

“What a monster”

“I can’t think of any monster on that size that can carry and run on that speed! ”

“…….” The rest are speechless seeing the crew on board having a good time but some get a slight seasick.

But what they see in front of their eyes is a horseless carriage with the sound of the engine, denying or almost overcome the horse-drawn carriages flaws. If it’s not moved by horse or any living thing then it overcomes the body rest and eat problems of the living, seeing the large truck wheels rotating in high speeds, they can conclude that it can overcome any land terrain as long as the path is not small or impossible to pass. Seeing the large size of the truck, they can conclude that this thing can carry more loads, hundreds or thousands better than a horse-drawn carriage. They have difficulty in expressing or finding words of appreciation, if not, they can say, ‘what a monster machine’.

The truck can run on high speeds and carry tons of loads depending on the type of truck. My truck is modelled after a ten-wheeler truck with slight modifications. A truck is noisy because of its engine but because I use alternative sources, the noise is just normal to hear or close to silent, it only makes sounds from the wheels rotating against the ground. This truck of mine has enhancements like seasick – less, meaning people have lesser chance getting seasick and gravity – less, meaning it ignores the normal gravity to some extent to carry more and more load. Hahaha. This is the result of by combining two forces or the existence of magic and science theories. To them, it’s a monster by itself seeing the first truck in their eyes.

Why not making teleport portals or some kind of magic like transportation? Well, the reasons are portals have a risk or chance in opening other world or dimension or reverse of it, the people in portal might be teleported to an unknown land or location or worst, they might teleported inside their own bodies, which is ‘Eww’. Imagine people keep sprouting inside one’s bodies like baby aliens or xenomorphs when they tearing their way out in the chest of their victims.

Teleportation uses huge amount of mana, need high concentration and magic. For individual use, it’s okay but for making tools for teleportation purposes the risk and problems starts to appear. I don’t want to trade the lives of my people because of the one second or less time of teleportation’s travel speed.

Another reason is my knowledge is only limited to the current era meaning, I can’t use future methods which is not known by my present me. The last but not the least, I don’t want them to become lazy in walking. And I don’t want to make our current technology too futuristic.

Albert: “Your highness, this is so wonderful! I can’t wait to build this thing!”

Haha, Albert is itching to make it but let’s not forget the priority of things.

Joel: “Well, I call this thing as [Optimu Prime], in general, a truck!”

Albert: “A truck?! Wow what a muscle name and its name is also manly, [Optimu Prime]”

Joel: “Oh yeah, here’s the blueprint of things that you need to build, remember do not haste okay?”

[“Yes, your highness”]

Joel: “Oh I forgot, here’s the blueprint of gun”

I handed all the things needed and blueprint to them. Hope the things they made are efficient or pass a quality test.

Now what should I make next? Upgrade the existing technologies here or build new one? Well, I can’t wait to make a StarScream, I mean, Jet planes. Man, riding a jet plane is one of my dreams since childhood. Speaking of childhood, I always wanted to have a laser or plasma weapon, should I build it myself? I think it’s cool to have some. There are many things that I wanted to make.

“Should I make my truck to transform? And says ‘’Transform and roll out” man, that’s cool”

While Joel is having daydreaming because he remember his childhood memories. The industrial zone is getting busier and busier.
