《Apocalypse》Episode 22: Home Invasion

Mina stumbled back from the shattered window frame, and I turned and rushed back to the kitchen. There had been a knife block alongside the sink, and I pulled from it two sharp cruel looking knives. I ran back to the front room and saw Mina back track from the zombie as it rose back to its knees.
Shards of glass were embedded in its marbled skin. As I marched up to it, both of its cold dead hands reached out and gripped my trouser legs. It moaned as it pulled me towards it while it moved its head forwards ready to bite. I plunged down with one of the knives. I missed the skull, instead impaling it through the nape of its neck. The pressure of the blow sunk the zombies head down to the floor. I pulled the knife free and lifted it again before plunging it straight back down again - this time the blade penetrated the skull, killing it.
I pulled free the knife, and looked back to the window. Two more zombies had entered the garden, and one ran and flung itself through the window. There was a distinct audible tearing sound as a large jagged edge of glass still attached to the window frame tore the zombie from sternum to pelvis.
I watched as the wretched creature stood and its innards flopped out from where it had been tore open on entry. It moved towards me oblivious to the ruination of its body.
It’s hands were strong as it gripped my jacket. I tried to plunge the knife into its skull, but came down at a too acute an angle so the knife glanced off. The forward momentum of the zombie pushed me off balance and we both went over with its cold sticky entrails coating me in a sickening stench.

I grimaced as I went down feeling a sharp pain in my ribs from the motorbike crash that already seemed a lifetime ago. Mina had grabbed the zombie by the hair, and pulled back its head so that it could not bite me. I lashed out with the knife in three rapid motions.
The first was a lateral slice across its throat rendering its groans to a hoarse whisper. The second swipe split it’s mouth into a wide joker style slash. The third movement was an upward stab that went through its eyeball and directly into its brain killing it stone dead.
The third zombie was still unsuccessfully trying to climb into the room when we grabbed the back pack and exited the house through the rear door. I strapped on my back pack as we carefully trod on the shingle surface as we walked back round to the front of the house. I poked my head around the corner and watched as the third zombie clumsily climbed through the window frame and dropped with a thud inside the house.
I took Mina’s hand and guided us through the garden gate, and back out on to the street. Behind us, fifty metres or so, we could see the cordon through which we had exited earlier that morning. There looked to be a dozen or so zombies still milling around. We turned and ran in the opposite direction. After a few strides I looked behind me, and saw that the entire group was giving chase.

I hope I can learn to tell my stories well and put something up that's enjoyable.

Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
