《Manablood Mellie》Chapter 31: The Elves go Marching one by one Hurrah

The trouble with flying ships was flying dragons. Jackson was fully prepared to fly right through the skies to Reglar all on his lonesome, until a large red dragon started treating the ship like a childs toy. He had spent days playing cat and mouse with this dragon. It was a Juveline Dragon, but that still meant it was probably like 100 years old and its skin was harder than any weapon he had. His neck was sore, his but was fried and the boat was half broken as he steered his way back to Marningville. The mast was cracked and the wheel could barely turn as he began to plummet to the docks. He braced himself, clinging to the captains wheel as the water crashed around him, sinking the magical boat in the harbor. He let go of the wheel and swam to the surface, gasping for air, heart racing at the rush. Flying was not for him. Swimming to the shore he looked up to see hundreds of elves, and a dead woman.
"Jackson!" she cried as she ran to him, worried for his safety. Pulling him from the water, they wrapped their arms around eachother and kissed. A few elves whistled and laughed, while shushing themselves, pulling Mellie back to reality. She looked around the dock.
"Yeah. I'm alive. I'll explain later" she gestured to the elves behind her. Then she looked at the harbor. "Shit. Can any of these boats get out of here?" The shipwrecked boat was blocking in all the docked boats.
"Can't you just magic us out of here if we need to?" he replied, confused as to why she was flustered.
"No. I can't. I had an evolution, and I'm still adjusting to it." she retorted. The evolution had great lifechanging potentiol, but in the short term she was greatly hampered.
"Well... shit. We're gonna have to go through the Shifty Forest with all these guys somehow without getting pinched by the spider swarms OR I'm guessing all of their owners." he explained.

"Cough... Former owners... cough" Mellie said, smiling. Jackson had seen the blood.
He laughed. "Well, If i'm going through hell, there's no one I'd rather go thorugh it with. I can't believe you're alive" he said smiling at her, wrapping her under his arm.
"Lead away, my prince!" she said as they began walking down the dock, through a series of dirt roads into the forests. "But uhhh why the forest. Where are we going?" she said, totally trusting him but also, like, Reglar was the other way....
"There's a fairy circle in the ruins there. It takes you to Reglar and back if you can bargain with the fairies." he explained.
"Hey sleepyhead! I need you!" Mellie said as she poked at her little fairy pocket. her breasts lit up like she was lite brite and a little boy climbed out of her pocket. He flew up in to her face and she got a notification

As Mellie and Callum walked along staring at eachother, everyone's eyes were on hers. Fairies were so rare, they were almost legends. The fact that Jackson knew the location of a fairy circle should have been impressive to anyone except Mellie who goes and pulls fairies out of her pocket. "wait" he thought. "Did you just bond with it?" he asked incredulously. It would make sense, her being a Manablood. She never ceased to amaze him. He watched as she began having a conversation with the little guy.
"Hey Callum! I'm Mellie. You can go back to sleep, hun. I was trying to get Ari cuz we're trying to get all these people to Reglar. Jackson here was saying something about a fairy gate. I'd prefer to deal with her until you get rid of that debuff. I expect you to live. OH. SORRY. Hold on." she said, and to everyone's horror, she sliced her hand open and began feeding the ravenous little fairy. Ari woke from Mellie's pocket and fluttered haphazardly to her hand like a coffee starved night shift worker. "You okay Ari?She asked her and checked her status, seeing another Debuff: Sleep depraved 3 hours recovery time remaining. She guessed she underestimated how much sleep fairies needed. Their Endurance was so low.
"Hey Ari. Sorry for waking you. Drink up. I'm so sorry. We're headed to a fairy circle so we can hop continents if that makes sense to you?" She said questioning the exhausted fairy.
"Yeah. Five fairies can open a pocket dimension in one place and link it to another. We are only two, and we need rest and sustinence." Mellie noticed thier Debuff timers start to decrease faster than they should have as they drank so when she was starting to feel woozy she said nothing. They all kept marching off into the woods and the fairies settled back into her pockets before she could pass out. Jackson carried her for a little while until her regeneration replenished her lost blood. Some of the former slaves began arming themselves for the trek throught he woods,. There were some crude bows and arrows. and a few wooden spears fashioned from nearby branches picked up druing their hike. A few wary and fearful elves vanishing back into the horrible town, hoping to fare better there than in the woods. Cowardice isn't a flattering feature, but it keeps weak men alive.
As the freed slaves began to slip into the darkness Mellie halted the group. "I can understand If you're afraid but isn't freedom worth a moment of fear? If you want me to erase your fear I can help. I'm not joking. Any takers? " Mellie said. A woman tentitively raised her hand and Mellie went over to her and cast her Will of a Savior. The woman looked like a weight lifted off her shoulders. She gripped her weapon tighter, rolled her shoulders back in pride. "I can help you if you doubt. I can help you if you wish to forget the horrors of the life you lived here. I'm the Manablood Savior and I'm here to get rid of the shit world my people left behind. Lets get to this fairy circle and get home to Reglar. We can burn this country down once we get to safety. Stand tall and stand in line if you wish to forget your traumas. Have the courage to grasp your freedom. It's just through these trees. Your people deserve more than this." she tisked, turning and continuing into the forest. The news about what she said spread through the crowd, and with that little bit of hope, they moved forward toward the circle, towards home.

Until Death? (Refleshed Version)
Ever been a god? Well, I was! Until I died.... and got judged by the other gods! Apparently, they didn't like the whole "My Faith is the only true one!" idea. Oh, and for the record: The Apocalypse wasn't intentional, ok? In my defense, I want it to be known that my enemies threw the first stone and the whole 'Offer the other cheek' just isn't my thing. Seems like, for punishment, I get sent onto a vacation! Or so I hope? ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: It's here, a rewrite? Yes! I would like to think that this version will have better grammar, better jokes, hopefully, everything better. Since it was my first work and started solely to improve my English, the grammar always caused me headaches when I looked at it. Well, and there are the plotholes which appeared with the whole multiverse thing that came with my other works... Let's just say that the first one was never written with the idea of turning it into a series. So let's get a shovel and fill-up the plot so that hapless readers won't fall into those pitch-black pits. They might break a knee! Or worse, vanish forever. And now the disclaimer everyone knows: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)
8 140Drunk Dungeon
This is a story about a man who not only enters the dungeon drunk, but the dungeon indirectly supports this habit. The only question now was what would kill him first, the dungeon or his liver? Author: This is a story based on a daydream I had after reading some dungeon stories. It's also in first person past tense. Cover art by Julian the Apostate#7406 on Discord.
8 310Apex Immortal: a LitRPG system rampage
"Across the multiverse where the contest for power is the only constant, only a handful have succeeded in reaching the ultimate heights of ascendency and gained the title Apex Immortal. Dominus is one of them, unsurpassed in overwhelming violence, feared across universes. Now, memories locked and stranded far away from everything he’d built, Dominus will face enemies that will challenge even his powers and discover that change is more difficult than destruction." I’ve been writing fiction on and off for the last decade and I’ve always wondered how a peak immortal (or an OP superhero) would single handedly conquer a world that mirrors our own in all of its complexity. As a politics nerd, this is my attempt at answering that question using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as the primary playbook. The “monsters” are entire political systems with entrenched culture. Expect many versions of real world political systems (and cultures) to be on the hit list. The MC has to successfully institute regime and cultural change without engaging in wholesale genocide and causing the state to fail. Expect things to go wrong pretty quickly as escalating and cascading political and economic effects rapidly go out of control. Methods deployed are not for the faint hearted.
