Nick was now sitting against the tree as the group of Redcaps walked the ten yards that was between him and Zach’s body. The lifeless look on Zach’s face filled Nick with pain and fury. Just then Nick saw Zach twitch. Confused, Nick ignored the Redcaps and looked closer at Zach, more accurately he looked closer at the ground around Zach. It began to move as Zach’s whole body shuttered, Black liquid began to cover Zach. Nick froze as he identified the black liquid. It was the ancient elixir, named the “Blood of the Gods”.

Nick was speechless. The rumored stories said that if someone drank the elixir, they would be granted great strength and Zach was being covered with it. There was no telling how strong Zach could become, with the amount he was absorbing into his body. Zach stood up and as he did so, his entire body began to shimmer and break apart into multiple ghostly images. That was when Nick felt it, everything but Zach began to slow down.

Zach ran toward the Redcaps that were still walking to Nick. He looked back and was startled, there was what looked to be after images of himself frozen in place. Zach shook his head. He can’t get distracted, he walked to the front of the Redcaps and threw a punch at one of the goons. As his fist was just about to make contact, he saw his after images unfreeze and mimic the actions he made as if they were on a guideline. Right as Zach’s fist met the face of the Redcap goon, all of the after images merged into Zach’s body and he felt the mass and inertia of the thirty some odd clones flow into his body and out through his fist.

At that same moment everything reacquired their normal speed and the goon Zach punched, disappeared. The Shock wave that followed flattened everything in the surrounding area, everything but Zach. He had enough strength left in his body to look around at the devastation he had created before he collapsed and slipped into unconsciousness.
