Chapter 6: Wise Wisdom I
“So what your saying is that in this world Ru’Nesia, were inside a game in which every day there is an NPC like me that is killed and on the other hand there are players like you who roam all over the continent, competing and again killing each other…” I said with a mouth wide open, terrified of what I heard.
“Heh, I just told you earlier to not be intimidated, now I’m sure you’ll take this all seriously.” Dan said with a grin.
“Of course I am.” I said, forcing a smile.
“Now about the countries, as you may know were inside the territory of Gold’berg, which is at the northern part of Ru’Nesia, and at the east a country named Copp’berg, it has the lowest economy and the smallest territory out of the three countries, though their city Copperlum is widely known for mining massive amounts of copper ore in which they make into bronze metal that sells well throughout the continent, their king is Hemeri the Bronze King, and finally at the western part a country named Silv’berg, it has a stable economy which places it between Gold’berg and Copp’berg acting as the middle ground, this country may not be evil but their government is very greedy to the point that they partnered themselves to the Golden Council in hopes of being their country business partner, their city is Silvercraft and a young king named Reimfred the Shimmer King, I’ve heard that he is a known jackass of a king, considering when he was still a little prince he was already served in silver platter, never had to worry and work hard for his position." Dan said.
“Okay, so between the two countries, where do you suggest me to first go?” I asked.
“I’ll tell you later once I’m done about Ru’Nesia, now about its unique lands, at the very edge of this continent of the far southeast just below Copp’berg, is the lands of the elves named Diwa’ta, though its kingdom is in ruins, the Mystic Forests that surrounds it acts as its walls and conceals the home for the remaining elves to shelter and hide, it has glowing trees and the nature of it is majestic that even it releases magic, all races of elves scattered throughout the magical forest, protecting the nature and its animals, and especially their former kingdom from trespassers and invaders, but mystery still surrounds that place as to what really happened to their kingdom and its Priestess. And at the very center of this continent is a mountainous region called the Barba’rus Mountains, this is the very home of the fierce Barbarians, residing at the bottom of its mountains hiding from plain sight, and just like the elves, they are both hostile against the outside world, though as you heard from that horse’s mouth back on the platform, the barbarians were eradicated from the attack of the first shock army led by our pal Lennard.” Dan laughed from his joke. “Now for me I don’t believe any of that nonsense because, the barbarians themselves may be savages, but they are not some mindless beasts that are cowering inside a cave, instead they are ruthless warriors who use their strength and magic to brutally overwhelm their enemies, only a fool would challenge the barbarians head on.” Dan said, with enthusiasm.

“Wow” I stared at Dan, amazed of what I heard. “To think that this is all what’s out there…” I said, as I wonder in amazement.
“Haha fascinating isn’t it?” Dan gave a huge smile. “Now for your route, I suggest you to stop by on a village before heading straight into Copp’berg, I forgot its name but you’ll definitely stumble on it if you keep following the main road. Now why Copp’berg, because if you head on to Silv’berg first you’ll likely to be arrested or worse be killed, and considering that these two countries are allies I’m sure the Council already told them about you, and the after training you’ll get will not guarantee your safety and survival on your own, but by venturing farther and learning about this world will expose yourself to greater knowledge that will make you even stronger, better be safe than sorry Svend.” Dan said and warned.
“A village first then straight into Copp’berg, okay got it.” I then squinted at Dan, expecting something more. “Though after that, where should I head next?” I asked Dan for his next suggestion.
“Tssk, now that’s the tricky part Svend, I’m not sure if you can get close or in to Diwa’ta or Barba’rus, either way they’ll surely not welcome you with open arms, so my suggestion from there is to maximize your experience (EXP) by participating on the City Events before leaving the country, and because you’ll get through in Copperlum anyway, you’re sure to take a glimpse of it, Copp’berg is a nice and great country Svend, their hands maybe dirty but the people there are hard workers.” Dan said with a smile.
“Okay got it, though can you tell me more about this City Events, while we’re at it?” I requested.
“Ah yes I almost forgot, the City Events are a set of events that you can only see inside a city within a country, first is the City Quest Board where you can get many different quest for a reward such as items and Rune Coins (main currency of Ru’Nesia) it is also where you can get the classic quest named Thieves Hunting where you get the chance to hunt for the infamous Thieves Guild, though there is no reward for this specific quest because if you ever found their hideout, you can loot from the looters themselves. And secondly the Player Tavern, it is an event place where you can meet all the players that are currently roaming on the country and even out from throughout the other parts of the continent, here you can trade items, share information, make friends and even request for duels, but this event is notorious for some players getting killed because of random childish ruckus caused by unnecessary quarrels that always lead into brawls, but still I suggest you to check it out for may you might find potential allies for our mission and especially for your own growth of experience as well. Now lastly the brutal Battle Royale, this exclusive event only happens once a year between one of the three countries of Gold’berg, Silv’berg and Copp’berg, though I’m not sure what country will host it this time around, now what happens in this event is you must have a squad of four (4) players each, the battlefield will be held on a massive battle stadium big enough to fit fifty (50) squads to compete, luckily the feature of this event prevents players from getting killed out from the main game, because of the magic barrier that will seal the stadium which effects the players skills and weapons inside it, and when you critically damaged a player to a point of their demise, they are quickly transferred out or revived back in full health outside the barrier, meaning you may have killed someone inside the event barrier but not in the real world, but certainly they lost, it’s not a Battle Royale where you must be the last man standing, but more like a race to survival and teamwork is crucial, and when only three squads remain the judges will end the event by analyzing the kills and performance of each squad for the upcoming three (3) places, the first (1st) place will get the full main reward of a grand one thousand (1000) Rune Coins with four (4) rare runes and four (4) random items for its squad members, while the second (2nd) place will get a reward of five hundred (500) Rune Coins with three (3) rare runes and three (3) items, and lastly the third (3rd) place will get a reward of one hundred (100) Rune Coins with two (2) rare runes and two (2) items, I know all this stuff because back when I was still a novice, I participated in all three events, though my squad only placed third in Battle Royale back in those days, but I doubt you’ll get a chance to participate considering you don’t have a squad yet, but still I suggest you to check out both the City Quest Board and the Player Tavern at least, Svend.” Dan said in full detail.

“Hmmm, if it will benefit me to my fullest, then I will surely check out this City Events once I step foot on Copp’berg.” I looked at Dan and gave a curious look. “Though what does really happen when someone like a Player or an NPC die in this world, does one just really disappear out of existence or there is more to it?” I asked.
“Initially I don’t want to tell you about it because it’s one of those unproven myths, but I heard from rumors that in this world there is a place called Elysium, it exist but at the same time it doesn’t, I know it makes no sense and it’s kinda stupid to think, but they say it is an invisible plain of existence where the data of the dead ones go and stored, just to be recycled again to create another being in Ru’Nesia, and from there the cycle continues, and that’s another story to tell.” Dan said.
“Oh, it is kind of stupid to imagine…” I said, suddenly felt uneasy.
A heavy feeling then washed over my head, that it made me rubbed my forehead again.
“What, are you feeling heavy headed?” Dan asked, with a grin.
“Yeah, how did you know?” I replied while rubbing my forehead.
“Let me see it…” Dan insisted, with a grin.
He then removed my hand from rubbing it, and instead placed his right palm on top of my head.
“Hold still.” Dan said frankly.
As Dan held my head, I felt this surge of great force inside me, traveling and spreading across all over my body until the heaviness became lighter and lighter as he continued, a minute has passed and the uneasiness was finally gone, but it was replaced by this weird feeling, a feeling of greatness, happiness and extreme energy pulsing inside me, as if I can do everything in this world, like a newborn phoenix penetrating through the darkness and soaring above the skies, I’m rebirthed and this is my new beginning.
What the heck is this, I can see and feel my thoughts, and everything is clearer than before, not only that there’s this floating screen inside my head and I can control it, No I can see, feel, and control everything inside my head, this is great Haha!!
(New) Please Read Message
“How does it feel?” Dan asked with a smile.
“It feels great, I can see everything clearly than before, and my surroundings are much more vivid!” I said in excitement.
“How about checking the message?” Dan pointed out.
I then just noticed the message, and started to view it.

“Only a maxed player like myself can do that, also your head will always notify you whether you’ve acquire, give and receive something in the form of an Info Screen.” Dan said, and reminded.
I looked into both my hands and gripped it in happiness.
“So this is what it feels like to be a player…” I said, smiling.
“It’s not enough and quite not done yet, you see this long conversation of ours has its very purpose, and that is for an NPC like you to receive very long players knowledge, making your mind heavy with information that a side character shouldn’t even know, and that’s where I come to tap into it and finally broke its barrier, now for finale I’ll tell you about the Runes Of Power, and what I will teach you.” Dan said with a grin.

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

The Good Crash: An Oral History of the Post-Scarcity Collapse
"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.

A Solitary God In A Dark Multiverse
Eons ago a devastating and apocalyptic battle took place that rocked every dark and loathsome corner of the multiverse. In the aftermath of the battle, deities, demon-lords, old ones, arch-devils, angel kings and archon queens, not to mention other cosmically powerful entities were totally obliterated. Despite this history-changing occurrence, life found a way and life went on in a godless multiverse for an unimaginable length of time. And in time, even the mightiest and most popular gods were nearly forgotten. But one day, in a universe unlike our own, an altogether fantastic and magical universe, a deity is born. A new deity. A deity of a nebulous morality. Join the aforementioned morally unbound deity as he embarks on a quest to gain power, worshippers, and glory. This story features a deity as its protagonist, but it's a deity who starts off alone in a dark and harsh multiverse. He needs worshippers to grow in power and has to earn his victories intelligently. He seeks to gain worshippers, discover the truth behind his genesis, and become the deity he is meant to be. He is a protagonist who will hurt others, and he's unafraid to kill and destroy what he can't control. This is his story. If lore intrigues you, consider dropping by the World Anvil! It is chock full of juicy lore, and history, and it is slowly expanding as I add new articles to it. It is a place for me to write out the major details and introduce readers to the grander complexities that the story doesn't always let me write out in detail. Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me.
