I remember. I was there for the creation of the world… but I didn’t have the capacity to remember. I was there when the world’s waters were first filled with life. I was one of them. But I could not think, I was just a little jellyfish who refused to die. I remember now, what I couldn’t before. I ate myself when I got old and started life all over again. I remember.

I remember being washed into the pocket of a man. I remember him walking across the ocean floor. I remember watching him tear himself apart to see another world… I remember falling out of his pocket into a foreign land.

I remember having my body torn apart by the new world. I remember growing into the shape of those in the lands I was dropped. I remember feeling my body destroyed and rebuild over and over and over again as if I were eating myself again and again and again without having reached old age yet. And every time I ate myself, I grew stronger. Every time I ate myself, I grew smarter. Every time I ate myself, I became more powerful… I remember.

I remember the power that I gained. I remember the kingdom that I built. I remember the peoples I conquered… what I don’t remember is how I got here…
