I was tired, and I ached, and I felt like my head had a bullet through it. Maybe I did. I felt a stinging pain in my ear’s as Mattie and Bee fought and bickered. I tried to shut them up, but my mouth wouldn’t move. It was like I was seeing the word through a different body. It was really strange to say the least.
I heard someone behind me, I think it was a girl’s voice, that I didn’t recognize. She said something about shutting the hell up, and the two bastard’s in front of me shut up for the first time in what felt like years.
I almost worshipped this girl as my savior.
That wouldn’t suit me well, now would it. A god can’t worship a worshipper.
