《Humanity? HELL YEAH!!》From bloodbath into frying pan

A warrior, an avenger had done justice. The world was silent, no borrowing could be observed, no rebound, no negative entropy, nothing had changed.
The warrior had brought peace, every enemy had died. The warrior was alone.
It was silent, nobody was left to raise or turn into st(e)aks. It was utterly meaningless.
A warrior breathes war, an avenger takes vengeance, but when peace comes, when justice is done, they both have no meaning.
The cold moonlight shone onto the scene, barely illuminating in comparison to all those grills, now no longer in use, but still flickering, turning the air heavy with smoke.
The end of a long grill party had come, Chaden had to acknowledge it, there was no replenishment, all his achievements, his dreams and hopes, they had to end soon.
He had not gone without injury in this fight and would expire before the sun rose the next day. There was nothing to proof to anyone beside himself, the pain was great and he wept.
The end of the world made no one a winner, maybe he was the opposite of a winner, all alone in the remains. This was his last hour, his loss, his time getting more scarce and valuable. Every passing second turned the second after it into a more valuable second, it could be felt, the rise in value and the tremendous loss growing and growing.
It was simply too much to take, too much to spend, too much to have lost.
In the growth, his pain rose, one could compare the growth of value with the growth of value in times of high economic growth. The growth was happening, because it would end, the value came from scarcity, the value came from the borosist ideal of self destruction.
Without the end of the world, there was no value increase, in fact if the world would not end, the value would drop to rock bottom - the duality of value in scarcity, the meaninglessness in infinity. The previous reactions had shown that the illusion of infinity can be easily seen through, but contrary to intuition, the reaction to the piercing of the veil is joy as the value grows.

The joy would turn into pain, if it grew too intense, that was why Chaden was crying.
This was when it was too much, this was the answer to 'How much is enough?' and 'What is a good life?', it was simply a life before this impending breakdown.
Chadens life had been good, providing an excellently horrible contrast to his sad experience.
The existence of the afterlife, devaluing his current experience was not known and thus a maximum on suffering would be achieved in this moment, first a too high value, then - rock bottom. Even though steaks had become worthless through hyperinflation, they had fought on. They did not know what else to do, the value had risen so high, someone had to keep raising it. Chaden decided that this life had to go, he would not bear the pains of a slow death, he took a sharp knife and lined it up with his flesh.
The steel point shook, Chaden tried to stop the shaking, but the pain would not relent.
He needed a clean cut, a quick way out, a simple solution.
"No!", screamed his body "I want to live!", it cried, despite the blood already flowing from several wounds that had gotten dirty. He didn't possess the strength anymore to end himself, he couldn't climb a tower and jump, he couldn't ram a knife somewhere reliably.
Underneath the grills, the last steak laid in the dirt, suffering the pain until it did not.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.

The Plan
An infinite world couldn’t be real, but if it was, well this would happen. Imagine a world that isn’t covered in water, but an endless atmosphere. Plates of land, named “islands”, float and drift almost aimlessly. There is no sun, stars, roof, or floor; just boundless air in every direction. Light is generated from the movement of air flow. Magical and mystical powers keep islands floating and the world full of fresh entropy. Some of these floating islands drift upwards or downwards or any combination of volatile or patterned velocities. Air flow also follows the same characteristics of islands, which generates the light and heat. In a world with no horizon, the different inhabitants struggle. Beings calling them selves deities across the endless space are countless. If you were to fall off an island, you would inevitably hit another island; if you didn’t die from old age first. Many inhabitants don’t know the land further than their own eye sight or town they grew up in. Almost all inhabitants of islands have supernatural abilities, ranging in ability and skill. Magical abilities are kept individually; and mystical powers are borrowed. Islands float because the land is enchanted by either a magical or mystical crystal. Magical islands are known for vertical variance, while mystical islands are known for vertical stability. The islands rotate around focal points, known as 'the center'. There are many 'the center', but no one knows this yet... Warning: Tagged Mature 18+ for Strong Language, Gore, Violence, and sexual scenes. Google Drive (Click here to open new window) WIP/spoilers
