《The tribal queen and the Medic》chapter 7 - Serpents, dragons and elves

He did not know how long they were walking for, but it felt like hours. Jasion was exhausted, to say the least, much to the amusement of the tireless amazons. Jasion jumped as the blunt end of a spear whacked him in the ass.

“Walk faster, there are many animals and monsters that could eat you” Jasion walked slightly faster and murmured to himself.

“I’m more scared you’ll eat me before, so creature has an opportunity to you” Pelana looked over her shoulder to glare at Jasion. He did not notice her glance though, instead, he was staring off into the dark depths of the jungle that lay all around him.

“I do not understand your hate towards me,” Pelana said stopping slightly so he could catch up to her.

“Can you blame me?” He said panting, catching his breath. She gripped him by the collar of his shirt and yanked him towards her face.

“I can pleasure you, make you happy, yet you still resist me? I even organised a sex festival to apologise for killing your Lamia friend” Jasion yanked himself away from her and scowled towards her.

“You have done nothing but keep me as a pet. No slave” Pelana smiled and grabbed him by his neck. She yanked him closer and planted a kiss on his lips.

“You are a stubborn little boy aren’t you” She let him go and planted a gentle kiss on his forehead.

“But your right, I think I need to be a little… Better. I am not sure how since I think I am looking after you well, but I will try a little harder” Jasion could decide if he was scared that she was about to start beating the shit out of him for criticising her, or if she was dropping her ego for a few seconds and allowed him to see a softer side to her.

“But you did like the sex though?” She asked. Jasion smirked, weirdly impressed at how quickly she could bring her ego back.

“Yes, but that doesn’t excuse your actions” Jasion sighed as he could tell from how she turned away from him as soon as he said yes, not listening to what the rest of his statement was.

They walked for a while longer until the Pelana came to a sudden stop, the warriors doing the same. She gestured off to the side and the warriors pounced into the thick jungle brush. Jenkari placed Jasion over her shoulder as they leaped through the dense underbrush.

They came to a sudden stop. Despite the 6ft to 7ft, high amazons being as tall as they were, they still moved like cats prospering to pounce the amazons hid into some large bushes and trees. Jasion was gently placed down by Jenkari. Jasion peaked through the bushes towards what the women were looking at. There was a large dark hole inside of what looked to be a small mountain.

“Cankar cave,” Pelana said excitedly. Jasion was confused about what she meant, but just on cue a large serpent-like creature, maybe 30 or 40 meters long started to sliver out of the cave.

He assumed that was the Cankar, but he could not ask since the girls dived down onto the ground, drenching themselves in the mud. Jenkari quickly rubbed mud over Jasion making sure he was covered from head to toe. Jasion wanted to ask why this was necessary but, Jenkari pinned him as the large serpent slivered by them. The snake disappeared into the underbrush, but he could not relax for long as the amazons quietly jumped up and made their way towards the cave.

“Sorry for the mud. The Cankar cannot see or smell well but it is incredibly good at seeing you heat. It would be a bloody end if it were to capture you” Jenkari said as she placed him down. Jasion got up and cautiously followed the amazons into the cave.

Almost immediately after entering He could see 10 maybe 20 large eggs, each about the size of his head. As the amazons started to stela the eggs away into the leather satchels they had brought with them, Jasion noticed some movement just around a near corner. He slowly made his way over to what looked to be flapping scaly wings. As he neared the creature, he could see a broken blue coloured eggshell that looked to be newly hatched near the creature. It took his eyes a while to adjust, but he soon saw what the creature was. Unlike a snake with wings like he originally feared it seemed to be a small blue lizard with large wings getting out its back.

The creature had a long-pointed beak like a bird but from the top of its head down to its short tail, it had a thick line of dark blue fur. The creature spotted him and leaped towards him. It smacked into his face causing him to fall over. But rather than taring him limb from limb like he assumed it was going to do the creature started to wag its tail and lick him, much like a puppy. Jasion sat up and started to stroke the adorable little creature that started to happily make chirping noises as it sat on his lap.

Pelana, who had heard the sound of Jasion falling over, swiftly came around the corner almost tripping on Jasion as she did so.

“What happened?” She said, as she dove down and started to examine him, making sure he was not injured.

She stopped though as she sighted the beast that sat happily on his lap. Pelana jolted back and aimed her bow towards the creature. Jasion pulled the little guy into his chest and turned his back to her, to stop her from attacking it. The little creature, who was no bigger than Jasions size 9 feat, started to snap and give defensive screams towards Pelana.

“Jasion move so I can kill it!” She yelled. Not wanting something else innocent to be killed by this blood-thirsty amazon Jasion quickly retorted.

“No! For the love of God can you just not kill something or talk about killing something for 10 fucking minutes!” Pelana snarled at the creature as more amazons quickly approached them.

“Fine! I will friendlily bash its skull in!” Jenkari moved between them and gave Pelana a disapproving look.

“What is it,” Jenkari asked as she moved over to Jasion.

“A dragon!” Pelana yelled, making some of the warriors also proper for battle. Jenkari seemed to be the only person who was not shaken by the idea of a dragon.

“It won't hurt anyone! It's just trying to protect me!” Jasion said as he moved away from the hostile amazons. Jenkari placed a hand on his shoulder to try and calm him.

“Let me take a look,” Jenkari said gently. Jasion slowly turned to show the baby dragon to Jenkari. She placed a gentle hand onto the creature. To the surprise of Jasion the creature did not snap at Jenkari as it still was with Pelana. Jenkari noticed a thick wet mixture under the tail of the dragon. As soon as she touched the mixture started to evaporate off her fingers.

“Dragon yolk. This one was newly born; it must believe that Jasion is its mother. It must think you are the father, so it thinks Pelana want to eat it.” Jenkari said running her fingers through its fur.

“Eating it would be nice though,” Pelana said as she advanced on Jasion.

“Pelana” Jasion said sternly. For the first time, she could feel pure hate coming from this usually timid and shy boy. Pelana swallowed her fear and pride and nodded.

“Fine, keep it. But if I think it will threaten you in any way, I will kill it” Pelana said, swearing in her native tongue as she walked away.

“Why, why don’t you want to kill it,” Jaison said, his fear turning to Jenkari.

“I hate dragons, but it seems to make you happy,” She said as she joined the warriors outside. Jasion gently gazed down at the dragon that was gently cuddling into his chest. He smiled to himself. Despite how blood-thirsty Jenkari could be she also had this gentler giant side to her.

“I won’t let her kill any more innocent people” Jaison whispered to the dragon, beaming a kind smile at it.

They left the cave. The amazons had taken the eggs and now planned to find some friendly animals for them to teach Jasion how to hunt. They walked slowly down a long path, made by countless animals that had stomped down there over many years. The warriors were happily chatting about the money they were going to make off selling the eggs. Pelana was at the head of the group, stealing glances back to Jenkari and Jasion as they trailed behind them. She was reluctant to allow Jasion to be bringing home such a savage beast, but to see him so happy made her heart skip a beat.

Jasion was not focusing on his surroundings, he was too focused on the adorable dragon that was lovingly cuddling into his chest. A young attractive amazon that was walking in front of Jasion kept glancing back to giggle at the cute sight of the dragon. Jasion noticed her glancing and offered out the dragon for her to pet. Understanding what he was trying to do she put her hand out towards him.

It was almost as if time stopped as blood splattered across his face. The dragon leaped into his shirt as Jasions eyes widened to the atrocity in front of him. A large Cankar was now in front of him, well only for a second. The snake had struck from a nearby tree cutting the woman that was in front of him in half. Jasion looked down at her guts and the lower body fell like a rag doll onto the grass. Without a second thought or concern for her own life, Jenkari wrapped her arms around his waist and hoisted him over her shoulder.

“I will take him away, you unleash hell!” She yelled as she darted away with Jasion.

The creature seemed to notice Jenkari was escaping with Jasion. Automatically assuming that they had to be the weakest of the pack and would make the quickest meal it turned its attention to them. But before it could even make an inch towards the, a bolt of flaming white fire crashed into the side of its head. The rest of the warriors ran off after Jasion and Jenkari, leaving Pelana to fight the serpent.

She put her hands out to her sides and started to chant in native spells. Large balls of the white fire started to form in her hands. The serpent raised itself high into the air, making the amazon look like a small ant. She threw the balls of fire towards the creature’s face. It dodged the first but the second hit it in the face, causing it to screech in pain. As soon as the fire dispersed the serpent struck forward to where the amazon was standing. Instead of its teeth wrapping around the soft skin of an amazon through its fangs sunk into a tree.

It turned quickly as it felt a spike of pain shoot through its tail. It struck again as its beady eyes fell onto the amazon that was standing with a bloodied spear next to its tail. As the snake’s mouth rocketed towards the amazons, she leaped to the side at the last second, throwing her spear into its eye. Before the creature could react, Pelana pulled the spear from its eye and leaped onto the back of its head. She raised her spear and began to chant again, the spear setting light as she did so. Pelana flipped off the serpent as its head burst into flames. It destroyed her spear, but the creature was now dead.

She smugly turned to walk in the direction of Jasion, and the amazons had fled, excited for how she could brag to Jasion about how stronger she is than any other amazon or Lamia. The ground shook, causing Pelana to draw her bow in defence. The ground cracked and splintered as a 70ft long Cankar ripped its way out of the ground. She loaded an arrow and aimed for the serpent’s head but was put off by the sound of several other serpents bursting out of the earth.

She turned and started to sprint. She kept turning back to see if the serpents were following her. She smiled as she saw the around 6 serpents slivering over each other as they collapsed the trees around them in their chase for her. She started to chant, causing another one of her white fire spells started to form around her arow. Once her chant was finished, she skidded to a stop and pulled back the string of her bow.

She smiled as she released the arrow. The arrow landed on the Cankar nearest to her. The shy drew white as the arrow burst into flames and a white fire sheet started to flood over the monsters. She did not stop to admire the site though as she ran away from the blazing flames. Soon she reached where Jasion and the other amazons were waiting for her. Jasion's eyes were wide with amazement and fear as his gaze was fixed on the rising flames.

“Holy fuck” Jaison said, those were the only words she could say.

“Impressed” Pelana said as she walked over to the excited group. All Jasion could do was nod. Pelana gently took his hand.

“Come, let’s go home,” She said, the fires of the burning forest outlining her figure, giving her an almost demonic look.

“What are you,” He said quietly, his voice cracking as even the dragon that clutched to his chest was making whimpering noises.

“Someone who loves you,” she said, the firs behind her giving her the appearance of some monstrous monstrosity, a look that despite her beauty fitted her scarily well.

Jasion was not too sure how they got back to camp that day. He was too focused on what he had just witnessed. Hundreds of miles of woodland gone up into flames in the blink of an eye. Ever since he found out Pelana was the queen of the amazons he had theorised that she had to be strong, but what he had just seen was a haunting sense of dread at what she could do to him if he ever tried to fight her.

After the death of one of their warriors, collecting quite a lot of Cankar eggs, and not wanting to put Jasion in any more trouble, they decided to call off the hunt early that day. As they entered the camp the warriors quickly noticed their missing friends. Jasion moved past the warriors, not saying a word as he entered the medical tent. Kalani’s ears pricked up as she heard someone entering the tent, her ears pointed even more towards the ceiling as she saw Jasion enter the tent, a cute dragon cuddling in his arms. Her face sunk though as she noticed his expression.

“What happened?” She said darting to his side, examining his mud-dyed shirt, messy depressed face, and emotionless eyes.

“Could you hold this little guy for me? I found him while we were hunting, he is my new pet. My friend…” Jasions eyes were still emotionless. Kalani could feel anger swelling inside of herself as she could feel the sadness in his voice.

“What happened,” Kalani asked as Jasion handed her the baby dragon. Jasion turned and started to walk the exit of the hut. Kalani wanted to say something but for whatever reason, she felt as if it was best if he was alone with his thoughts for a while. She looked down at the dragon that now gently cuddled into her breast. Even the dragon looked to have a solemn mood.

Still covered in the thick bud and the slight blood splatters of the amazon that was butchered in front of him were splattered across his face and clothes. Not making eye contact with anyone or even muttering a word he moved into the forest and towards a large lake that lay near their camp. He gently dipped his hands into the crystal-clear water. He could feel himself starting to cry slightly as the thick blood stained his hands, no matter how hard he scrubbed the stains seemed to barely even fade in colour.

After what felt like a torturous eternity Jasion managed to scrub the dirt and blood off his hands. He started to unbutton his shirt at a snail pace but came to a sudden stop when he heard the cracking of branches above him. Still on edge from his encounter with the serpents earlier he shot his gaze upwards, his eyes locking with that of a human-like figure. He stumbled back as the creature shot down towards him. He looked the creature up and down, examining exactly what was potentially trying to kill him. To Jasions shock the tall, agile-looking, pointy-eared, grey-skinned, creature was a night elf.

Jasion jumped to his feet as the elf drew a knife. She shot towards him; the knife pointed towards his head. Jasion just managed to move to his side as the elf sped past him. Before Jasion could turn to doge her again though the elf was already leaping towards him again, her long white hair shining in the sun as she did so. The knife found its mark and plunged into his side. Jasion fell to the ground in pain as the cold steel cut through him. The elf giggled as she licked the blood from the knife and raised it high into the air, ready to finish him off. Jasions vision started to blur, the last thing he saw was something he thought to be nothing more than a delusion of his mind before he died. His eyes focused on the familiar face of a tall, masked man dressed in black.

“Want to make a deal boy?” the deep voice of the masked man said as Jasions vision faded to black.

The dark elf stabbed down towards Jasion’s head, just for a hand to grip her bringing her to a stop.

“Don’t kill it, we need it to send a message” A second-night elf said as she released her friend’s hand.

The dark elf reluctantly dismounted Jasion and tended to his wound, she had smartly used a special poison on her dagger to send Jasion into a deep sleep. But from how deep the stab wound on his side was, her friend was afraid she may have used too much of the poison. Two more-night elves appeared from the forest, dressed in the same green and black body paint, cloth top, and cloth skirt as the other two elves. The two men were carrying a large wooden pole and rope. The men and two girls tied the man to the pole.

“He will make a good warning to the amazons to stay out our forest,” the night elf that stabbed him said, prodding at his sleeping face. The group carried him into the jungle, melting away into the thick dark forest brush.

The night elves carefully made their way back to their war camp, now and then stopping when they saw an amazon patrol group. They knew that had to move quickly after all the amazons did not many males so when they found out the only male in their group was gone, they would most defiantly come looking for him.

After a while of sneaking through the darkness of the jungle the night elves returned to their war camp, the bound Jasion still unconscious from the drug, on the bright side though his wound looks to be healing, meaning that he would most likely live to see his punishment at the hands of the night elves.

A night elf wearing a large black feather headdress, black cloth top, and skirt, that both left little to the imagination, was happily playing with some of the children of the tribe. A queen usually did not play with the children of the tribe, but she had decided to while her medics were set to working on the injured warriors that had to out the fire the amazons caused out. The warriors all had deep burns or were dead by the time they had finally extinguished the white flames that attacked their jungle.

The woman stopped her play with the children though as she noticed 4 of her best hunters returning with what looked to be a bound male amazon. She walked over and smiled happily at the sight of the captured boy, he was sure to send a good message to the amazons that they should leave their jungle or die.

“Good job, really good job,” the queen said, leaning down to take a better look at the sleeping Jasion. She could tell the amazons would be outraged to find such an adorable little creature such as him burnt to a crisp at the centre of their camp.

“How are the children?” Asked one of the female warriors who originally planned to kill Jasion.

“Good, luckily we only lost 5 of our people to the fire caused by those damned amazons.” The queen said as the gesture for them to follow her over to what looked to be two large wooden poles stamped into the ground, a 4-meter distance between them.

The queen stripped Jasion of his clothes and bound him to the wooden poles. The warriors of the night elves started to gather around Jasion, the men made a large bonfire while the women stripped themselves and painted one another in blight blue paint. The paint glistened on their grey skin. The fire was lit, and the elves started their ritual.

“My brothers and sisters! These amazons have come and revenged our lands! Tonight, we will sacrifice this male and dump his destroyed remains in the centre of their camp!” the tribe cheered, tonight they planned to have their vengeance.

Jasion woke to the menacing sound of large drums pounding out a chaotic beat. He slowly came to his senses as he opened his eyes. He flinched as cold water was thrown over his face. He started to look around franticly, quickly remembering what had happened to him earlier. It was night, a large bonfire that’s flames were reaching the sky was about 10 or so meters Infront of him. Painted men and women danced happily around the fire.

A pair of hands gripped his cheeks and turned him to face her. His eyes met a sliver pair of beautiful night elf eyes. The woman wore a large black feather headdress, black cloth top, and long skirt. Seeing her prey was alive she cheered, maybe 400 or so voices responded with cheers of their own. He could not understand what the beautiful woman was saying, but a deep familiar voice started to translate her words to him.

“They saw you and the amazons burn down the forest.” The voice of the masked man said as he walked into the view line of the petrified Jasion. Jasion tried to move but quickly learned that his arms, legs, and torso were wound to two large wooden poles.

“What’s happening? Who… No what are you?” Jasion said, sweat pouring down his face, fear, and stress showing in full force across his face.

“The night elves think you are a male amazon, they are going to torture you, butcher you, and give your bloody, mangled dead corps to the amazons,” the masked man said as the woman that woke him, and seemed to be their leader, walked through him. Jaison looked past the man to see the dancers stopping and retrieving wooden flaming torches from the fire.

“Help me!” Jasion yelled at the ghostly man.

“I can give you the power, but you will have to be the one to save yourself.” The masked man said as the dancers holding the flaming torch started to approach Jasion, as archers lined up like a firing squad in front of him.

“Ok just help me please!” Jaison begged.

“You will have to do something you may not like though,” The man said laughing slightly. The archers readied to fire.

“W… what will I have to do” Jaison screamed as the archers fired. The arrows cutting their way into his legs. He could feel the cold stone breaking his bones as the archers moved forward and yanked the arrows out of his bloody broken legs. Jasion screamed as the last arrow was pulled out of his leg and the archers walked back to their firing line. They posed and readied to fire again.

“Kill them. All of them, let your hate take control, let ME take control.” Jaison shook at the words kill. Would he have to kill? The second volley of arrows sunk into his arms, cutting flesh and breaking bones.

For the first time in his life, Jasion felt something. Something new. Something evil. Hate, pure hatred was all he could feel as he remembered everything Pelana and the amazons had put him though, he remembered the bullying from his fellow soldiers, he now was full of the hatred he felt at the idea of dying here to these damned, bloodthirsty, savage night elves.

The dancers approached Jaison and started to use the flaming torches to burn and destroy Jasions skin. The pain from the torches only making his hate grown. Jaison gritted his teeth and looked into the red eyes of the masked man. Jasions eyes narrowed as the man put out his gloved hand.

“We have a deal?” the man asked, his dark voice echoing around his mind.

“What are you?” Jaison asked.

“A very board demon that found a very interesting boy,” He said walking closer, his hand still outstretched. Without any more second thoughts, Jasion nodded his head. What happened next was a blur for Jaison.

The elves watched in horror as Jasions body fell to the ground as a black mist. The elves all froze as the mist moved behind one of the dancers. The mist moved up her back until it reached her shoulder. Golden eyes formed, as did Jason’s body as the mist moved around her neck.

“My, my is that fear I sense from a night elf?” The voice was of Jasion, but not fully. More like it was Jason’s voice mixed with that of a dark demonic monster. Before the elf could respond a loud crack filled the night as the dancer’s body collapsed to the ground. The archers pulled out their stone knives and leaped towards Jasion. The knives missed their mark, Jasions body coming apart like a kind of mist, allowing the knives to pass straight through without even laying a scratch on him. Before they could even register what had happened, Jasion (the demon currently in control) disarmed the first warrior and using her knife quickly killed the others.

As the archer’s bodies fell to the ground like sacks of bricks his gaze turned to the 400 or so terrified night elves. Jaison then started his slaughter. It was not even a fair fight; it was like a dragon was fighting a mouse. Bloodstained his clothes, his hair, and his face. His hair even somehow became even redder than it already was. Jasion’s hand started to shake as his blind rage slowly started to leave him as he regained his senses.

“What am I doing?” He spoke. His hand wrapped around the neck of a crying young night elf girl. The same girl who seemed to be the leader of the tribe.

“Your mental state was weak, because of the pact we have made when you are at your weakest, I can take you over until you can become strong again. So, to put it simply I took you over and killed…” the masked man manifested himself in front of Jaison said as he gestured around them. Jasion nervously looked around, he felt a sense of dread and remorse, as he saw the butchered carcasses of around 100-night elves littering the ground around him.

He let go of the girl’s neck and stared down at his hands. He quickly noticed he was wearing the same uniform as the masked man; he was also wearing his mask. He gazed around to see the petrified with fear faces of the remaining night elves.

“You can understand what they are saying right?” Jaison asked, his eyes locked with the night elf girl who he was strangling’s eyes. The masked man nodded.

“I automatically translate anything you hear or say into/from the language of the person you are talking to.” Jasion nodded and squatted down to look the night elf girl in the eyes.

“What you were doing to me. It was to protect your forest from the amazons, right?” He asked, not knowing if he should carry on killing the night elves. The girl nodded. Satisfied with the answer, Jasion went to apologise, just to stop when he realised, he could not mutter the words.

“You shouldn’t apologise, you should just kill them and be on your way,” the masked man said.

“No, let us leave. I want to kill them, I do, but something just doesn’t feel right” Jaison said as he stood up and began to walk solemnly over the dead bodies that looked to be just the price of butchered meat.

“And that’s why I picked you,” the demon said happily.

“What?” Jasion said, despite him wearing the mask it was still obvious what expression Jasion was making.

“I am an embodiment of evil and vengeance, and you are almost like the embodiment of kindness. We are such opposites, but I feel as if you and I can learn something from one another.” The masked man carried on, planting a friendly hand on Jasions shoulder. Jasion stared back at the native leader whose eyes were locked onto him, watching him with a mix of amazement, aww, and fear.

“I’m sorry, I’m not an Amazon. But I do not hold what you have done to me against you, but I understand If you hold what I did here against me.” Jasion said as he started to walk towards the forest edge.

“Who are you?” The queen asked, jumping to her feet and walking towards him.

“Someone who hates the amazons as much as you.” The night elf nodded.

“So, we were wrong to attack you… sorry.” She said as she watched him disappear into the forest. The elf that originally captured Jasion moved to her queen’s side.

“My queen, the warriors, they are not dead just severely injured. They look much worse than they are” she said. The queen went down to one of the bloody corpses. The appearance of their deformed state seemed to fade.

“Illusion magic?” the queen said as she glanced around at the warriors.

“So, you didn’t kill them?” Jasion asked the demon as they listened in to the conversation from the tree line.

“I have to say it was really funny seeing your face,” The masked man said laughing slightly. Jasion dropped to the ground holding his chest.

“Thank fuck.” Jasion said smiling happily to himself.

“You want to help people, right? Well, you can’t be so passive in the future, sometimes you have to take a few lives to save many more” the masked man said, as Jasion got to his feet.

“What do you think we should do?” Jasion asked.

“That’s for you to decide, you hate the amazons, you could take revenge.” The masked man said.

“The amazons only accept people into their tribe if they offer up a sacrifice like Ulana.” Jasion gazed upwards towards the night sky.

“I’ll find somewhere where people of all species and races can reside, and if I can’t find one, I will create one. It sounds stupid but…” Jasion bowed down to the masked man.

“Please, teach me how to use your power, show me how to fight.” The masked man chuckled at his words.

“Despite most intelligent species and races you have found have tried to kill you or enslave you, yet you still want to help them?” Jasion looked seriously towards the demon,

“I will change that. I need you to make me strong, make me able to kill those who harm others. Save those who need saving.” The demon smiled down at Jasion.

“fine, I will give you the drive and power to change this world,” the demon said, his interest in this overly kind boy. He had to admit, he was impressed by how the cowardly, shy, weak, boy he had found all those years ago was slowly starting to change. The demon could tell he could mold this boy into something amazing.
