《DAI: [An AI Based Fantasy With Villanous Lead]》Return to Homeland

Dai was reincarnated in a hyper-futuristic realm after that. Humans had conquered the stars and the aether itself. Everything was at their beck and call.
The first six months had been pure agony, the next year had been him trying to adjust to his life. He would end up spending the next 150 years down there. His heart longed to return to his former life. It felt as if he hadn't ended it with a satisfactory showdown.
One day, Dai was busy engaging with the routine task of emptying his bowls-he preferred the old-fashioned way. Instead, of the pills. The computer chimed with every plop, it was annoying at first but he'd gotten used to it.
He'd accumulated and built up a lot for himself this time around. In the process of accumulating all this, he'd made a few enemies and one of them walked into his bathroom. He was alone and hadn't closed the door.
He emptied his bullets into Dai. That's how he found himself back in the exact spot of his former demise. Pain, pain, pain. Sharp, radiating, intense pain emanated from every single part of his body.

He was back, that's what he could make out from the crimson grainy sand on the ground. He tried to pull in essence and use his healing art.
Yet, that little spiritual organ that interacted with the spiritual was gone. Ravaged and broken by that last strike from Kaspar.
Dai sat down on the ground and tried to sense it again. Yet, he couldn't. He fainted a few minutes after. He would have to rely on his bodies healing abilities.
He couldn't tell when he woke up again. It must have been a few hours later or might even be a few days. Nothing had tried to rip him apart in the middle of the night. He was healed a little bit, demon vitality was notorious.

Once, he had time to make sense, an intense all-encompassing rage engulfed him. How dare that little prick kill him? How did he get through security? A strange mixture of feelings enveloped his heart (twin hearts).
He'd never thought that he would be back here again, he was happy about it but that other life. He had so much left to do there as well. Two lives without an appropriate end.
He wasn't near his castle for that matter. He was still in his realm but this wasn't his castle. 150 years had passed in that world but was it the same here, he couldn't say for sure. He would have to find someone.
First though, he had to get out of this armour. It was broken and claustrophobic. It was fused into his body at some points. He had to pry it out of his skin at that point. It was painful and agonizing.
Now, he was butt-naked in the middle of the desert. He called out to his AI. "Order new pants." It was an instinctive habit borne out of years of reliance.

The air rushed out of his lungs. He still had his A.I. How had that worked? Did it somehow fuse with his consciousness? It just didn't seem that plausible. His consciousness had come back but how did the A.I. It was a physical chip in the other world. He decided to not look the gift-horse in the mouth anymore. He would have to get to the bottom of this one day.
He decided to use part of his ripped up cape. He wrapped it around his legs. It would have to do for now. If he still had access to his illusion magic he could fashion himself pants right away.

He used the other half of his cape to tie up his armour. It was heavy and unwieldy but he had to keep it beside him. Creating it, had taken years of tireless work. He hoped that his sense for essence and the ability to manipulate it would come back soon.
What now? He decided to start walking. He hadn't encountered any beast as of yet. Being attacked while he was unconscious would've sent him hurtling into oblivion. Killed on a toilet is bad enough.
He decided to make good use of his time and hunt something. His sense of smell was still here and he could smell a fire-salamander. He placed the sack of armour on the ground gently and moved his feet. He crouched down low and with a swift arm movement, his hand plunged into the ground and pulled out a salamander.
It freaked out and used its final resort. A full-body flame. The flame was a suicidal method that resulted in well-cooked, crispy fire salamander.
He'd pulled open a scab on his arm. It was bleeding down. He didn't have any spare cloth to wrap it up. His body would take care of it.
He decided to focus on his new-meal. He ripped into it with gusto. It was a little spicy with very tasty morsels. He left the inner husk and continued on his merry way.
Command: Plot Map
[Mapping...]
It would be nice to have a well-structured map. He'd kept a small fleet of scribes to get accurate access to maps back in the day. He guessed that he would still have to employ them. It wasn't as if he could map every inch by himself.
A few hours of dull walking in a straight direction kept him going. He needed water soon and he was teetering on hunting some other animal and using its blood as water.
For some reason, that idea didn't seem as appealing as the fire-salamander. Had dwelling among humans made him less of a demon. The very thought repelled him.
He finally spotted a caravan. He made way for it and a strange thought crawled its way into his mind, Where is my spear?
He would've sensed it if it was near him.

Caged within the Ravencourt
A short and pain-filled life was all that Melissa was given, and it wasn't until falling asleep for the last time that she was finally given something more. Waking up in a healthy and young body, and faced with an unfamiliar culture and even more inexplicable sights, Melissa had to adapt to her life new as Kalie, the third Princess of the Shattered Isles of Cerith. It didn't take long for Kalie to realize that even though she finds herself in a strange world, she may just be one of the strangest parts of it. As Kalie comes to terms with her bizarre new life, she finds herself set in the sights of the powerful new king of a far off land. Eventually finding herself taken away to be Caged within the Ravencourt. This story is world spanning, and slow to start. It's my intention to build up towards the epic story I'm hoping to tell. Don’t expect over the top powers, just smart characters using magic interestingly. And, like my other stories, the focus is on the characters themselves, less so the world they’re in. Enjoy!
