《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 3 -The History of Antrite

I rushed through the hallway, even faster than usual by creating a wind draft behind me. I was still tired from source training, but I was still able to use my source. Our history teacher was much worse than Miss. Trancesite, she is a demon. Demons power with their source is much more powerful than us humans, although their physical capabilities are weaker than ours.
As I walked through the door into my history class, I get a dagger right next to my ear. It seems that our teacher Mrs Druid was already in a bad mood today. Mrs Druid never scolded me, which was nice, but since she is a demon, everyone knows what she's thinking just by her expressions.
I apologized and sat down next to Lance, to his right. Although he was better at me with almost everything, I was the best with information about history.
"For god sake Dyne, you're late again. The great history of Antrite is about to start. You better pray for good luck, " Lance said
"First of all it's 2 minutes until the class starts, and second of all, Mrs Druid is actually one of my favourite teachers, so don't worry," I replied
"Have you studied at all?" Lance responded
"I've been studying and working on my source," I said impatiently towards Lance. "That's all I've been doing for the past week,"
"Good to know, any improvements?."
"Able to that wind for a while, it's quite a big stepping stone in my source abilities."
"Well then, better take your seat." Lance patted me on the back with his right hand.
After I did, Lance and I kept talking. Every year, what the entire school had to do was complete a whole test on a war that happened ten thousand years ago. Mrs Druid didn't care if we cheated, although she would tell Miss Trancesite, which was a pain.

Mrs Druid sat down, and she looked at a piece of new white chalk which was on her desk. By looking at it, she was able to lift it with her mind and began to write on the board.
After a while, the chalk started to write extremely fast; we all know that Mrs Druid could do that. However, I still found it fascinating as it took a lot of concentration to do it that fast with her soul ability which was telekinesis and aura, where her soul ability could work. After the chalk was used, the blackboard had an entire paragraph written on it.
"Many many years ago, the energy god Drundon, granted the high power of source towards everything. It was well in the world until the gates to Antral opened. Another intelligent race stepped through the gates; Demons. Even then, there was still peace between the realms; everyone was happy until the demon Dysan stepped onto Antrites soil. Not much is known about Dysan, but he started the war of the four legions. "
When I was reading it, Mrs Druid decided to write a little bit more on the board.
"After a while, Drundon was disgusted by his gift to the people, so he split the source of energy into nine basic elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Dark, Time, Space and Life. Even then, the four legions attacked each other, so Drundon put the Spirits onto the earth. The Spirits were pure embodiments of source, able to change the land around them. After the war, Dysan was executed, and the world was at peace, the four nations signed a peace treaty with Drundon and the Spirits. Soon after Drundon left, the Spirits scattered throughout the known earth, fusing themselves with the source of the land. Becoming the Watchers of Drundon and the earth. "

"Even now, the entire world still feels the force of the war now, as some lands that spirits roam are still hostile. People are still finding remnants of the ancient human civilization even today, but they are left untouched as even an aura of a person can cause mass destruction with the ancient weapons,"
Suddenly, a bright light flooded the entire classroom, and sheets of paper then appeared in front of everyone. Knowing Mrs Druid, she wanted us to do the work on it, so I started writing in the answers. It was quite comfortable until I saw a weird question; "We know who you are, Accept your fate". Nothing like that was present in the paragraphs on the board. I flip the test, same words "Accept your fate". Soon each word was "Accept your fate", I was going crazy.
"Hey, you ok, Dyne?" Lance asked me, waking me up from my small mental episode.
"What does question nine say?" I asked him
"'What was the first source created by Drundon', why? Do you not know the answer? Do you need some help?" Lance sarcastically said.
"No, the answer is energy. Drundon turned it into the nine basic elements for a less violent standard, and an extra fact; no race can master them all, because that will give them the power of the energy source. Dyson was able to cheat that somehow, and he still had the energy source, so Drundon decided to seal him away within some spirits," I replied.
"Jeez Dyne, you're always filled with random facts, seriously, how did you do it?"
"Books and Eavesdropping, it's quite easy."
"Whatever, I heard Fredericks gonna beat you up during lunch, is that true?"
"I didn't hear anything about it being at lunch, I didn't even get an invitation for a duel, but I might as well take him up for his offer,"
"Maybe you can get a bit of territory for our guild due to this fight."
"Hopefully I will."
As soon as I finished my sentence on the last question, our books went flying toward Mrs Druid. She took a look at them for a second, and with a flick of a pen they came back with a tick or a cross, this showed us if we passed or had to go to Miss Trancesite. As mine came closer and closer, I saw a red tick and left for lunch, knowing that I was about to kick Fredrick's ass.

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.
