Mulguran crashed to the ground, nearly falling over but used his wings to balance himself. He clutched tenderly at his missing forearm and cursed the Emarine.

Quickly, he stemmed the flow of power and stopped it from leaking. All the energy he had sucked from Tepra was gone, all that power wasted. And now, he was missing half an arm on top of all of it.

Hissing and cursing, Mulguran finished healing the stump and slammed it into the ground, cracking the rock. It was completely healed but losing a limb like this was an insult and he would have his revenge. He could not grow it back because of that cursed dagger.

Creating a portal to Isulia, Mulguran was greeted by the throne room, empty except for him. He gave a crooked smile and shifted the portal right in front of king Darius.

Darius was half asleep and completely drunk and barely noticed the demon before him but his eyes went wide in shock.

“Begone demon!” he waved his hand in front of him, cowering into his chair.

“Silence,” he said menacingly. “You have been untouched by my armies. I have spared your kingdom because I have plans for you.”

“Wh-wh?” Darius stuttered, clearly muddled by drink.

“How would you like to rule Isulia. All of it.” Mulguran asked.
