As the dark-haired gentleman and Sophie’s superior began to finish up their discussion. Her eyes began to dart and flicker across the room, she moved from table to table and furniture to furniture using a ragged cloth to wipe away some of the dust that had been building up around the place. Always positioning and placing herself in the gaze of her superior, who just bared her an occasional glance through the corner of the eyes, her attention more fixated on the gentleman before her.

“Miss Piper, would you please just mind the reception as I walk Mr Anderson out?” A hint of irritation was apparent in the tone of Miss Blue who shone a smile at the young, naïve girl. A smile of pure juxtaposition as it masked nothing but vile emotions towards the girl.

“Yes, Madam” A bead of sweat began to form on the brow of the frightened girl as she resumed her default position behind the reception desk and looked down towards the ground, eyeing for any new details that would appear on her shoes. The occasional glance out the corner of her eyes towards her boss in case she was needed.
