Rei strolled into the black hallway while the bunny businessman followed her. She reached room five and knocked on it. Nobody answered, meaning the private dance room was available.

"Yeah!" The bunny slapped Rei's butt and cheered.

Rei gasped and rubbed her read. "Hey! Touching is illegal!"

The bunny businessman laughed. His face was bursting in redness. "I'm just warming you up, kid! I want a great lap dance!"

"Ewww! Keep your paws off me!" Rei raised her hand, ready to smack the little shit.

But the bunny pulled out his credit card and held it up. "No crypto if you assault me!"

Rei hissed and pushed the door open. "You first."

"Hey, I am a gentleman! Ladies go first."

Rei doubted he was a gentleman after he touched her. How much did he drink?

Rei stepped into the room, finding one couch on the pink carpet floor. The walls were black, and the ceiling was pink too with four lights around a ventilation shaft. The music continued to play from the speakers at the corners. An aromatic smell of cigarettes was left in the room.

"Okay, Bugs Bunny." Rei held out the door for the rabbit. "Sit on the couch and enjoy."

The bunny wobbled into the like an egg trying to tip over. He must be very drunk since he doesn't seem to control his own movements. No wonder he didn't care about touching her without consent. If the club has guards, the bunny would be kicked out through the door. Only two bouncers watched the front, and one watched the parking lot on top. If they heard anything, Rei was sure they would run back in to stop the trouble. So far, nothing out of control started inside the club.

The bunny sat on the couch. "I'm ready!"

After Rei spread out her legs to rock her hips, the ventilation shaft popped open, and a shadow dropped, landing on the bunny. Luna pulled out her gun and pointed it at the bunny’s face. “Freeze!”

Rei’s mouth dropped. She forgot her partner was hiding in room five to ambush the bounty. If she knew, Rei would have escorted the bunny to another room.

“Who the hell are you?” the bunny shouted. “Get that out of my face!”

Luna widened her eyes and lowered her gun. “Who the hell are you?”

"I’m Mr.Berger, employer of Vision Enterprises! If you harm me, I will-"

"I don't care who you are!" Luna moved off the bunny and pointed her claw at the door. "Get out before I report you for ruining a bounty hunter's assignment!"

The bunny pointed his middle finger at her and strolled out through the door. His night definitely got ruined.

"What the hell were you doing?" Luna shouted at Rei. "I told you to bring Gonzo in here! Gonzo only!"

Rei startled. "I thought we could use some extra cash-"

"We don't need extra cash, dumbass! Get your pussy ass back out there! If Gonzo gets away, I'll shoot your ass for target practice!"

Luna grabbed Rei's arm and tossed her out of the room. Rei popped her head against the wall as she landed on the floor. "Ouch!"

The door slammed close behind her, and she rose while rubbing her head. "Geez, what an amkae!"

Luna may be a bitch, but it was obvious she was treating her job seriously. If they lose the target, it might take longer for Luna to track him again. The longer it might take to find the target, the faster a bounty hunter could turn poor. And being poor was bad in the city.

Not only Rei should just listen to her partner without feeling around for extra money, losing the bounty would place her into a poor condition too. She needed rent money and food to last longer in the city. With the reward, she wouldn't need to worry about the bills for a while. Plus, the reward was higher than the lap dancing money, anyway. Rei could make extra next time after her job.

She strolled back into the loud dancing lounge and sat on the stool near the bar. The bartender who was an anteater in a pink tuxedo approached her. "Want another round?"

Rei sighed. "One cocoon milk rum, please. Make it spicy."

"Sure thing. On the house too."

Rei felt grateful she could get free drinks at the nightclub without the manager noticing. The bartender knew she was a bounty hunter, and she guessed he understood how hard earning money can be as a hunter. Rei and Luna won't stay long at the club, anyway. So giving away free drinks to one of them won't hurt the club's business.

"Here you go " The bartender placed the glass down, filled with white liquid with sparkles of brown powder. "Happy hunting."

"Thank you." Rei took a sip of her drink. The milk was so sweet, she could barely taste the bitter alcoholic in it.

Works for me! Rei drank more, letting her head spin a little.

After her partner yelled her, she needed alcohol to speed up her confidence. Who cares if she was underage. Nobody cares in Moreau City.

After she finished her drink, a hyena in a white tank top sat next to her. His right arm was robotic with sharp claws. An odd vent was on his neck, connected by cables sticking out from his reddish fur. His eyes were bloodshot as if he was high as a kite.

Rei beamed her eyes at him until they widened. Luna! Luna! He is sitting next to me!

Are you sure? Luna asked.

Ye! Ye! He has a metal claw arm and a vent on his throat.

Yup! That's him. Are his friends with him?

Rei glanced around. I don't see them. They must be in the crowd, watching the show.

Good. Escort his ass toward my position. I will ambush him after you lock the door.

Gwaenchanh-a! Rei watched Gonzo held up his metal claw to the bartender. "Hey, barry! Throw me a whiskey!"

The anteater nodded and turned around to begin his work.

Rei fixed her hair and slid to the left, facing her target. "Yeoboseyo! Want a lap dance?"

The hyena's righty creepy eye moved toward her like a camera lens. Were his eyes mechanic too?

"You're Korean?" He asked through his mechanic voice, echoing from his voice box vent.

Rei giggled. "Dangsin-i olbaleunji. Me from Seoul. Want a dance?"

Gonzo slowly turned a grin. "I like Asians. Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, any Asian girl. But I like the little ones the most. Younger, vulnerable, easy to get down on. Heeheehee."

Rei's spine turned cold. Ileon jenjang! This guy is a total creep!

Gonzo leaned forward, zooming his eyes into hers. "I'll give you double if you can keep me from wetting myself. Heeheehee. Little girls always make me wet myself."

Rei gulped. Luna! This freak is a pedofiler!

Don't worry, I will kick his ass when you bring him inside the room, said Luna. I will not let him touch you.

Gwaenchanh-a….. The butterflies inside Rei's stomach fluttered like crazy, but she has to focus in order to get the money. She expected to hunt down some creeps, but she never expected to run into a super creep soon. Did Gonzo harass little girls when he was a janitor? That could explain why he lost his job and turned into an assassin.

Rei faked another giggle. "Follow me, and we shall see."

Gonzo turned toward the bartender. "Barry, hold my drink! My pants are thirsty for something else. Heeheehee!"

The anteater placed the glass down in front of the shelf of glass cups. "As you wish, sir."

Rei slid off the stool and took Gonzo's metal hand. "Follow me, gwiyeondubgi."

She walked him into the dark hallway and stopped near room 5. She hoped Luna will attack the creep as soon as they both walked into the room. Dancing her butt on a pedophilia's lap would hunt her for the rest of her life. "In here will be nice."

Gonzo laughed. "My pants are ready to burst!"

Ewwwww! Rei pushed the door open. "In you go."

Gonzo glared. "I thought ladies go first."

"In Korea, men come first, and women come second."

"I thought Japanese men come first."

"South Korea is close to Japan. Sometimes we like to share ideal philosophies. Ihaehada?"

Gonzo laughed. "I already like you!"

After the hyena stepped into the room, Rei walked in next and closed the door. She pulled the lock down, clicking the door to lock.

Gonzo sat on the couch. "What are you waiting for? Get on my lap and-"

Luna grabbed Gonzo from behind the couch, holding him in a tight headlock. "Got yeah, you son of a bitch!"

Gonzo kicked his legs while trying to pull Luna's arm off his neck. "You! It's you!"

"You have the right to remain-"

Before she could finish, the hyena's entire body flashed blue, and then- he was gone!

Rei looked around the room. The hyena wasn't anywhere inside the private dance room. "Where did he go?"

Luna jumped over the couch and pulled out her gun. "Shit! He's running! Go!"

Rei pulled out her gun and unlocked the door. The moment she sprinted out, a rain of gunfire reached her.

Luna jumped and landed on Rei, ducking before the laser blasts hit her.

Screams and panic echoed from the lounge while the music still played.

"Stay down!" Luna crawled across the floor into the lounge. Rei followed her while keeping her tail down.

Everyone ran out of the door through the exit. All except four dogs, shooting laser rifles.

They must be Gonzo's friends because he was standing behind them, yelling, "Kill them! They're after me! Kill me!"

Luna and Rei sprinted toward the bar counter, jumped over it, and ducked behind it. The glasses on the shelf shattered and rained over the catgirls.

Rei ducked her head and noticed the bartender doing the same thing next to her. The poor anteater didn't have the chance to escape.

"I will handle them!" Luna held up her gun. "Grenade launcher!"

"Grenade launcher!" Her weapon changed into a cannon with a rotating barrel beneath it.

She held up the launcher and fired one red energy ball up. She ducked before the energy projectile exploded. Two men screamed through the explosion, and the firing stopped.

"Two down!" Luna peeked over the counter.

Rei looked too, seeing the three criminals taking cover behind the tables. Fire and smoke grew where Luna's energy grenade exploded. Already the manager will soon complain about the damage.

Luna aimed her launcher and fired again.

Gonzo leaped from his cover before the energy ball hit his table. His friend tried to run, but the blast consumed him after it exploded.

The last companion jumped on top of a table and fired while screaming in rage.

Rei and Luna ducked down, dodging the laser beams.

"Can I shoot him?" Rei asked.

Luna pointed her launcher up. "I got this!"

After she fired, her shot exploded on the other side with a scream. Rei peeked, just in time to see Gonzo's friend fly into a wall. He stopped moving after he landed on the floor.

"Now is my chance!" Luna jumped from her cover and charged toward the hyena.

But without warning, Gonzo pulled out a laser pistol and shot her leg.

Luna screamed and fell to the floor. While clinging to her wounded leg, Gonzo rose and aimed his gun at her, grinning.

"Oh, no!" Rei jumped onto the bar counter and fired her gun.

Her shot missed, but it scared Gonzo.

"Shit!" The hyena sprinted toward the stairway, ignoring the catgirls.

Rei leaped off the counter and ran toward Luna. She was still moaning while rubbing the burn mark on her leg.

"Luna, hold on!" Rei shouted, kneeling near the wounded panther woman.

Luna hissed and glared at Rei. "Go get him, you idiot!"

"But-"

"Don't worry about me!" Luna handed Rei the remote. "Use my car if he finds a ride! I will call the emergency hotline! Go!"

Rei nodded and rushed toward the stairway. A laser wound wasn't fatal unless the beam hit the target's heart or head. But a laser wound was still painful. Luna should be fine while Rei chases the bounty. It seemed like catching the target was more important than helping your companion recover.
