Luna landed her interceptor into an alley between two enormous buildings where the sunlight barely touched the ground. She pushed the red button on the small keyboard and the engine turned silent. "Remember this. If you want to stay alive, stay behind me."

Rei widened her eyes. "And do nothing?"

"I will order your assistance when I need to, but this is the jungle, kitty. The jungle is never too kind with the weak."

"I'm not weak."

"Then prove it." Luna pushed the door open and stepped out.

Rei stepped out next into the wide dark greasy alley. A potent scent of oil, sewage, and moisture polluted the misty air in the underbelly. Kind of making Rei's orange fur crawled on her skin. "Is this place safe to leave your car here?"

"No." After Rei locked the doors, she clicked on her thumb on a small remote. "That is why my baby is armed with an invisible electric defense field. Anyone who touches it will get their skin fried."

Rei jumped from the car. "Geolughan yeongi!"

Luna placed the remote into her back pocket. "Stay close to me and do nothing. We're close to one of the Underbelly black markets."

"Gwaenchanh-a." Rei followed Luna down the alley, leaving the car behind. If anything happened to the car, Rei feared they would be stuck on the gloomy street, becoming vulnerable to any freak who doesn't respect the law. The only safest places were premier above. Thank haneunim I didn't move down here!

The catgirls walked into the market on a wide-open street. No cars roamed around, just people, mostly Humanimals, checking out the vendors.

All the supplier booths rested under tents and plastic coverings. Their tables connected food, weapons, and junk that could be purchased from a pawnshop. The place appeared to be a swap meet than a black market.

“Hey girls!” From the crowd, a cow woman in a trench coat stepped in front of Luna and Rei. “Are you thirsty?”

She pulled open her coat, revealing four breasts over her chubby stomach. “Pay me five hundred, and I’ll let you drink me for two hours.”

Luna pushed her away, continuing to walk. “Not today ma’ma. I already drank my milk.”

Rei caught up with her partner, shocked by what she saw. “That was….. Odd.”

“It’s worse here than Japan. Many poor souls here will do anything for money. Even if it means-”

A gunshot blasted in the air, and the throng raced down the street. Deers, pigs, cats, and mice all retreated until Rei spotted a lizard man, holding a sheep woman with a gun against her throat.

“Anyone who gets close, this bitch’s head will blow off!” the lizard shouted.

Rei glared as she slowly reached for her TG-1. She was about to stop her very first crime.
