《One Eyed Wanderer》Chapter 7 - Consequences

Saito was again woken up by the sound of the ringing alarm, however this time he did not rush to get up instead he laid on top of his bed staring at the ceiling. Saito had tried logging into GQO last night, however, he was unable to as he was killed within the game, Saito managed to find out that the Consequences of dying leads to a 2-day lockdown and loss of a random item from his inventory.
He got up from his bed to check on the selling items in the Grand Auction House which should have ended by now, it was currently nine in the morning which meant he would have been late for school. However due to the events which unfolded the day before the school decided to expel Saito, well it wasn't surprising as Kyoko's family had the power to influence the school decisions.
'Wait what's this...'
Saito stared at the screen in disbelief the items that he had put up yesterday were on the top page and the bid was still going with only a minute remaining, The 2 legendary demon remains were currently at the price of 900k Yen and the numbers were still increasing bit by bit, Saito was still staring at the screen in disbelief. Although he knew the items would sell for quite a lot because of the commotion that took place yesterday, he could never dream of handling this amount of money at a young age.
Saito selected his items which were sold in order to dispatch them to the buyers to account only then will he have access to the money, However as he was about to dispatch he suddenly realised the reason why he had been expelled in the first place.
'By any chance could this be Kyoko's father'
Saito decided to contact the buyer through the messaging system which was provided by the website, he managed to get through and convince the buyer to talk to him through a phone call.
*Ring* *Ring*
The call was picked up immediately as soon as Saito dialled the number, he was interested in the buyer and wanted to find out the identity of the account. If it truly was the Sasaki family he could use this opportunity to play around with them.
"Greetings, I am the buyer of the auctioned items" (Mr Sasaki)

"Hi sorry to bother you but could you give me your name" (Saito)
He was looking forward to the identity of the buyer if it truly turns out to be Kyoko's father he would have the chance to reduce his punishment given by the school.
"Ahem, You can call me Sasaki"
Upon hearing the buyers name Saito's faced turned sinister as he gave out an unbearable smile. He goes straight to the point without trying to extend the conversation.
"I am sorry to inform you, but I did not intend on selling these items it was just a miss understanding" (Saito)
Sasaki was currently puzzled why was the seller cancelling the purchase he does not remember saying anything which would put him off.
"W-wait, can we talk about this in person. I am able to meet you tomorrow if you do not mind."
Sasaki was grinning at Mr Sasaki's words, he was convinced that Sasaki wanted to buy the item no matter what which gave him the chance to torture them.
"Tomorrow?" (Saito)
"I do not usually hold unplanned meetings but I can make an exception." (Sasaki)
"That's fine with me ill come by tomorrow afternoon if possible." (Saito)
Kyoko's father let out a sigh as he heard Saito's words.
"I will personally send someone to pick you up" (Sasaki)
"No, I can manage" (Saito)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Dad did you purchase the items" (Kyoko)
Kyoko's father placed the phone down as Kyoko entered the room, she was the one who insisted on purchasing the items which would cost his father a billion yen. Kyoko was truly a spoilt child as she was the only daughter which caused her parents to spoil her quite a bit.
"Not yet, the seller wants to talk to me face to face." (Mr Sasaki)
"Oh I get to see the player who originally owned the demon remains, I wonder if he met the One-Eyed Wanderer by any chance" (Kyoko)
She was clearly excited which could easily be determined by looking at her expression.
"Dad I also want to buy him and make him my personal slave" (Kyoko)
"Sweety you know that slavery is banned, this isn't Grand Quest Online its reality" (Mr Sasaki)
He was quite worried as the game was changing her daughter's behaviour, in fact, it had already changed societies behaviour as high ranked players were considered celebrities in reality.
"Whatever, just make hire him as a servant or something." (Kyoko)
"Also have you gotten rid of that worthless trash?" (Kyoko)
Kyoko turned around as he was about to leave the room.
"Yes I managed to get the headmaster to expel him from the school" (Mr Sasaki)
He frowned as he remembered the situation, Sasaki did not want to expel Saito as he thought it was too harsh when he found out about his situation.
"Well i wanted him dead but expelling him is fine to, if only this stupid world was similar to Grand Quest." (Kyoko)
She left the room without waiting for his dad to respond.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saito immediately hung up the phone and launched towards his bed, he was excited to meet Kyoko's family as it was the perfect time to carry out his revenge. Saito realised how important those materials must be due to a number of people who are willing to spend millions of yen on it.
After a few minutes, Saito received a message containing the address of a first class restaurant which was located an hour away from his flat.
*Knock Knock*
'who could that be'
Saito walked towards the door and slowly opened it, on the other side Arata and Mika were staring at Saito with a puzzled expression which made Saito feel quite uncomfortable.
"It's rude to stare at people!" (Saito)
He broke the awkward silence which was bothering him quite a bit, judging from their reaction Saito understood what was going on.
"It's contact lenses have you not seen one before?" (Saito)
Mika blushed from embarrassment, even though she did not have feelings for Saito it was clear that she had a shy personality.
"S-sorry about that" (Mika)
Arata was standing beside Mika, but strangely he avoided any eye contact with Saito. Obviously, this was because he felt bad, after all, it was his fault Saito got kicked out of the school.
Upon seeing Arata's behaviour Saito frowned, he knew that Arata would blame himself, however, Saito didn't hold him responsible even in the slightest. He knew there were alternative solutions, however, it was ultimately his choice which led to this outcome and he didn't want anyone else other than him to pay for it.
"Arata it's ok, it's not your fault you were humiliated by a girl" (Saito)
He smirked as he tried to get a reaction from Arata. However, it only made Arata frown, he knew Saito was trying to make the situation lighter, however, the reason why he was expelled was because Saito defended him.
"You should stop standing up for me Saito, this isn't the first time." (Arata)
Saito's lips curved down as soon as Arata finished his sentence, the reason why Saito stood up for him was because Arata and Mika were his close friends which he considered as siblings. In fact, Saito was eager to tell both of them about what had happened to his body however he did not want them to get involved in this troublesome situation.
"Arata for the last time, I make decisions for myself and you do not have the right to tell me they are wrong even if it costs me my life." (Saito)
Arata turned his gaze towards Mika who was trying to avoid the conversation.
"Mika stop standing there and say something" (Arata)
"Arata I know that you blame yourself but, if what he did was for you then it would be rude to not appreciate it and make full use of it." (Mika)
Although Mika was usually silent she when it came to these type of situations Mika could clearly understand the feelings of his friends and take them into consideration when speaking.
"Wait why aren't you guys in school.." (Saito)
"Uh..." (Mika)
"Let's go inside" (Saito)
He let both of them into his flat and headed towards his room, Saito was quite responsible when it came to managing his property as it was well-organised and not typically messy which would have been expected from a usual teenager.
Upon entering the bedroom Arata and Mika set their gaze on the Headset which laid on the surface of Saito's bed, they both had a puzzled expression as they did not know Saito played the game. However, there was a Vision headset right in front of them although it was unusual and looked different from a normal one.
'Oh crap' upon realising his friend's expressions Saito looked towards the headset remembering that he had left it there this morning as he cleaned his room.
