《CY》Entry no. 11

"CYNTHIA!" I kept kicking the door while shouting out her name
'Lilith! is there no other way?!'
'Give me time!' Lilith's hologram was projected from my helmet, she walked towards the door and started analyzing some data
'Analysis complete, this door is protected by a barrier with a condition of opening upon death. please search for a monster and kill it right in front of the door' Lilith finished her analysis seconds later. I quickly ran off and found a goblin, I dragged it by the ear and threw it on the door. I stabbed the goblin in the head just as it was about to hit the door, I heard a sound coming from the door so I quickly kicked it open.
"What are you doing?! let me go!" I heard Cynthia's shout
There were about 6 people including Jack surrounding Cynthia. 2 men were tightly gripping Cynthia's arm while Jack started undressing her, I ran towards and them and sent a Jack flying with a kick.
"Zeno!" Cynthia started crying when she saw me
the two men who were holding on to Cynthia quickly let her go and brandished their weapons, Cynthia ran and hid behind me
"Oi, Oi, Oi... you little fucker just had to come and kill the fun" Jack started walking towards us while checking the dent I left on his armor
"Why are you doing this?!" Cynthia asked full of resentment
"Why? you bitch actually have the nerve to ask why? ever since childhood, you always looked at me as a friend, no matter how much I try, no matter how much I sacrifice you never looked at me as a man!" Jack laughed maniacally
"But I already told you that you are my friend! I'm really sorry that I can't respond to your feelings but this is too much! aren't you the son of the chief royal guard?!" Cynthia replied

"Royal guard? what royal guard? Father lost his position the moment Acacia fell, he became the dog of Regulus while I became a bandit! this all your family's fault!"
Cynthia bit her lips and tried her best to stop herself from crying, this Jack went too far.
"Hey Jack, know the space between you and Cynthia?" I asked sarcastically
"What?" Jack glared at me
"Friendzone!" I started laughing, the other bandits also couldn't contain their laughter
"YOU WILL DIE!" he ran towards me with his sword, I also dashed forward
He swung his sword downwards but I moved to the side and hit his stomach with Azazel's hilt
"The way I look at it, you only like Cynthia's body" I looked down on him while he was on his knees clutching his stomach.
"...What are you guys doing?! KILL HIM!" he roared towards the other bandits
The bandits ran towards me with their sabers on their hands
'Lilith, rush mode'
'Request acknowledged'
I felt power rush towards my legs, my movement speed rose to a new level. Azazel gave off a reddish glow as I ran past each bandit and started killing them one by one, the 5 bandits fell on the ground with numerous wounds all over their bodies. I started walking towards Jack, Jack was still processing what happened.
"Where's all your arrogance?" I asked him as I slowly walk while Azazel let off sparks
"A-Ah, that was a joke you know? aren't we both from the same party?" He started crawling back
"Party? you never looked at me as a human though"
"It's Cynthia, right? I'll give you Cynthia so please let me go!" he wanted to negotiate
"Nobody owns Cynthia but herself, she was never yours and never will"

"Then... what do you want gold? I can give you anything as long as you let me live!" he never gave up
"No can do, now stay there and watch me as I tear your head away from your body"
I tortured Jack for half an hour while Cynthia watched, she was quiet the entire time, it seemed like she was deep in thought. Jack's body was skinned, dismembered and mangled in different places while his heart was still beating, reminds me of how those high-class Japanese chefs gut a live pufferfish
"Cynthia, you ok?" I watched towards Cynthia while wiping off the blood from Azazel.
"Zeno...I'm sorry, turns out that I still subconsciously miss my life before... the moment I saw a familiar face, I couldn't help but let my guard down..."
"It's fine, nothing bad happened but I don't want this to happen a second time..."
"Don't worry, I've already made a decision in my heart" Cynthia looked at a mesh of flesh, her eyes went dark
'Lilith...scan her'
'Scanning shows intense hatred'
'that much I can tell'
'Further scanning shows no result'
'Thanks'
'I'm sorry I'm not that much of a help'
'Don't worry about it, I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have you'
'Thank you'
"Cynthia, let's go"
"Yes!" she gave off a bright smile and ran towards me, what's with the quick change? she was giving off a deathly aura before but now there's no sign of that aura to be seen

Dragonfall
This fiction is based on a short story I wrote inspired by a prompt on r/WritingPrompts. Contrary to my plans, I haven't sketched out the story in detail or written anything ahead of time. I've discovered I don't do well at that. I'm just writing this thing and we'll see where it takes us, OK? Nothing every came easy to Ryan Shakespeare, but as an elite British Army sniper he had found a niche that suited him, right up to the point at which he found himself summoned to a world far from his own to fulfil the job of a champion.
