Chapter 0012
Sylphie waited at the destination meeting point for Erica and Leviene. The objective she assigned for herself was easily fulfilled. The Tajin Nost already knew this world was a new world in regards to the influx of players coming on board. She verified the data through the stores and the empty auction house.
Truthfully, the reason Sylphie send the other three away was because her subordinates contacted her. As the heiress to an international conglomerate and with a net worth over 200 million euros, Sylphie had enemies willing to go above and beyond to see her dead or incapacitated as well as family eagerly waiting for her death so they can inherit her fortune.
Wills now a days can be contested.
In order to survive deadly enemies and even deadlier scheming family member, Jessica created her own private army. All Deveraux have their own support system. The size depends on the wealth of each individual.
Eric Deveraux network of spies was the largest, his private army the greatest.
In spite of his wealth and power, he died in a car accident.
Or so it seem.
Jessica knew her parent were still alive. She believed her father staged his death because after the surgery, she was drugged with morphine and heroin. It took a year for Jessica to fight off the addiction. By the time Jessica was sober and capable of investigating the accident, the perpetrator disappeared.
Jessica never had any intention of pursuing her father. She knew her father had his reasons for doing what he did. She might not like the results but she accepted it. Her partial paralysis was planned as well. A very slow acting drug was injected into her spinal cord, probably during the surgery after the accident, numbing all sensation below her waist.
After the drug run out, Jessica can feel the sensation in her legs and eventually walk again.

Her subordinates remain loyal to her. When they were transported into Arashia, the first thing they did was report in. Her preoccupied look was noted by Leviene, but the little Perrian Let was too distracted by Erica to pry into Sylphie’s affair.
[Party - Sylphie]: How the status of our group?
[Party - Valdez]: 220 out of 350 members of Rain of Slaughter was transported into Arashia. 108 members is in Landian territory, 56 in Infernos territory, 32 in Aquaious territorty and 24 in Aerialis.
Valdez real name is George Benson, one of fifty orphans Jessica sponsored through her charity foundation, Give a Chance. The black hair teen was beautiful. Blue eyes, sinful lips, skin as white as milk, a lean body tone through running and a gentle disposition.
Valdez never told Sylphie how he end up in an orphanage. Jessica never asked. When they first met, Jessica was sadden by the broken fragile beauty with lifeless eyes and fatalistic view point. She knew he had lost all reason to live. All the children in the orphanage did.
It was not the orphanage’s fault. Jessica did a through investigation. If it was the administrators of the orphanage who broke these delicate children’s heart, Jessica would have eradicate every single one of them.
Jessica found out it was the Pearson Cartel. The Pearson Cartel gain a foothold in France in the late 80’s, starting from drug trafficking, then branching out into guns and prostitution, black market organs and gambling.
The children were their merchandise. They were kidnapped, uses as prosititue, and when their times is up, sliced open for their organs.
If she wanted to, she could tap into her father’s private army and eradicate the Pearson Cartel. But so what? What’s done is done. It won’t bring back the dead. Once they are gone, another group will take over.

Jessica was helpless against humanity greed.
She spent time with them, ignited their desire to live and gave them the tools and the training to get revenge. Four years later the entire Pearson Cartel was annihilated by a mysterious group called Slaughter.
Jessica asking nothing from them except to live a good life. For her, it was a way to practise her interpersonal skills. She must learn how to inspire loyalty in her employees.
One act of charity gave Jessica the undying loyalty of fifty people.
A few more act of charity later, Jessica had a private army solely dedicated to her.
[Party - Sylphie]: Give my orders. Each group will be split in half, one group will join the guild Avant, while the other will form a group and approach my family member in each territory to protect them. Two known members are Kaleseze and Wraith. Approach them using our previous cover, the guild Slaughter in Dark Drake Kingdom.
[Party - Elson]: What of our members on Earth?
Elson, also known as Simon Genriest, is the third son of a rich tycoon. The Deveraux family outsource some of their production to the Genriest family. Jessica has a employer to employee relationship with Simon, though to this day, Jessica never knew how she obtain his services. He is as loyal to her as George. Where George handle her private army, Simon handles her spy network.
[Party - Sylphie]: Since we don’t know what is happening on Earth, we will act as if they are dead. No need to worry. If they are unable to contact me for a year, a mass text message will be sent to them with my secret bank account number and password. They will be well taken care of.
[Party - Rosalia]: I’m not concern about the money. It’s the morale. We are in a different world, cut off from everything we know and even though we know you are alive, we can’t see you.
Rosalia Tudant, a personal and brilliant woman who work as Jessica’s assistant. Rosalia grew up with Jessica. Three days after Jessica was born, Rosalia was placed in Jessica crib. It can be said Rosalia was trained to be Jessica’s shadow.
Among the three, Jessica trust Rosalia the most yet she lack understanding of her most trust subordinate. Rosalia is extremely dedicated to Jessica. If Jessica told her to kill herself, then she will kill herself.
The extreme dedication, the utmost belief in Jessica, the complete conviction and the ability to sacrifice herself for another being puzzle the heiress. They were together by virtue of luck. How can humans place their everything in the hands of another human being.
[Party - Sylphie]: I don’t need those who lack conviction.
[Party - Rosalia]: I’ll carry out your orders.
[Party - Sylphie]: Order the Aerialis to wait for my permission before approaching me.
[Party - Valdez]: Yes sir.
[Party - Valdez]: Any further instruction.
[Party - Sylphie]: Get stronger.
[Party - Valdez]: Yes sir.
[Party - Elson]: Yes sir.
[Party - Rosalia]: Yes sir.
[The party has been disbanded.]

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
