《Level Up Lord》Chapter 6: 1 year old

Eliminated ANT: 0.00013 xp + 0.65 xp (age bonus) As thought, the age bonus was less than when he wasn't 1 year old yet.
the age bonus was now only 5000 times the original experience point instead of 10000.
But it wasn't a big loss as he couldn't catch anything better than some small insects when he was 3 or 4 months old.
He as become stronger and that means he could catch bigger preys.
That's why he went to investigate around the orphanage.
The perfect spot for now would be the creek next to the river flowing around the village. the small creek was closer to the orphanage than the river, it was full of fishes and little animals living around water spots.
In a certain morning, Elise and Karl walked to the creek.
The water was shallow but there was enough water to have river fish swimming inside of it. It didn't look deep but the water level would be higher than Karl's knees.
"Karl, you wanted to have a water play here?"
"No, I want to catch a fish. Can you help me?"
"Fish? But we don't have any tool. Not even a fishing rod."
"No but we can try to make one."
Karl took long ivy branches from the trees around the creek and made an improvised fishing net. It did look shabby but it probably was better than nothing. (Not like a baby and a small girl could catch a fish with their bare hands).
Along the creek, a bunch of carps were swimming. (*don't ask me why and how there's carps in another world and not some weird or different races of fish.)
Helped by Elise, Karl tried to catch the carps with the fishing net.
They dipped the net from a certain distance and moved it very slowly until the net was below the little shoal of carps.

"Pull it now!"
Elise and Karl pulled the fishing net made of ivy branches as fast as they could.
Most of the carps managed to swim away safely but there were so many of these that the two kids still caught 5 or 4 carps.
"Karl, we made it! Let's bring these to sister Emmanuella and ask if we could eat the carps for dinner and share with everybody."
Elise was a kind girl. Karl wasn't against it as Elise was a great help to catch the carps and also because everybody in the orphanage helped the sister and the other orphans.
Anyway, before bringing the carps, they had to bleed or kill the fish before their blood spreads in the body due to the extreme stress. This way, the flesh could be kept longer and the taste was better as well.
However, the two kids were not used to bleed them.
That's why, Elise and Karl took wood branches and smashed each carp's head to kill them instantly.
Eliminated CARP: 0.0021 xp + 10.5 xp (age bonus) Eliminated CARP: 0.0021 xp + 10.5 xp (age bonus) + 12 CREDIT etc. One another interesting thing: even when it was Elise who killed the carp, Karl still received experience points and vice-versa. It seems the contribution from the beginning till killing the carps were counted in. "Wow, I earned experience points, Karl!" "Congratulation Elise." "Let's come back again tomorrow! Hihi." So the two kids went back to the orphanage. Sister Emmanuella was surprised but she wasn't that surprised because children had to learn how to work and help their family in very early age in this world, like on Earth in the past. (*if you didn't know, even less than half century, children still had to learn how to work and it is still the case in developing countries.) With the carps, Emmanuella made delicious fish soup and everybody in the orphanage could enjoy the meal. The next day, Karl and Elise were preparing to go to the creek once again. "Hey! Wait me!"

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.

Re: Dragonize
After an unexpected turn of events, Drew must now survive in a world full of challenges with life-or-death stakes. Gone are the days when the biggest problems to face were awkward small-talk at physics department luncheons or mountains of lab work; this former physicist is now adrift in an unfamiliar land without any equipment. Now, Drew's only tool (if it can be called that) is a System, which provides constant reminders of all of the things that are still out of reach for a low-level being who's just arrived in a new world. Luckily, Drew has one powerful asset when taking on the challenges of this new world: surviving violent conflict is a lot easier when you have the power of a dragon at your disposal. Still, Drew has always considered violence a last resort. Why turn to fists (or claws) when a bit of quiet consideration might expose a better path forward? Maybe a life of quiet contemplation is still within reach for this former academic researcher. ...Or maybe not. It probably won't be a life of bloodless pacifism. Additional information for those who wish to calibrate their expectations (I'm adding this based on a few comments I received from readers who feel that the story is not what they expected from a dragon-themed story): Re: Dragonize is not a power fantasy -- or at least, it's not intended to be one. Re: Dragonize is a progression fantasy starting with a protagonist who must start at the bottom (or close to it), and work gradually upwards, making incremental progress with plenty of setbacks along the way. The protagonist, as someone coming from the world of academia, tends to be cautious, methodical, and contemplative. As such, expect this story to contain more than a few digressions as the main character takes the time to pontificate on a variety of topics ranging from Newtonian physics and horology to the nature of existence and the ethical dilemmas associated with being an obligate carnivore.
