《The Chaos Within》Close Call

Since the beginning of time, people have thought that God has only created our world... They were wrong. God created different kinds of worlds. He created Earth of Mortals. Hell for Demons and Heaven for his holy servants, the Angels.
That's what we mortals believe. But there are many other worlds. Hell and Heaven are only reserved for Demons and Angels, no other species is allowed in either realm. But there was one realm that welcomed all sorts of species with no restrictions or racism against them. A realm that was considered a paradise for all of them to live peacefully at. The realm's name was Utopia, a realm that stands between Hell and Heaven like a bridge connecting them, and in that realm... A bloody battle took place between a Mighty Angel General and a bloody murderer, their fight has just started:-
Their swords were clashing, the sound of their clashes was echoing through the battlefield. A young man in a hoodie with a dark two-handed-sword of red energy, fighting with a bulk male in a white robe. Their fight was fast and intense and around them was a fierce battle between creatures with white wings and creatures with black wings. There were werewolves in their war form fighting alongside the white-winged Angels while Vampires were fighting alongside the demons. Explosions, shockwaves, fire, and blood was being shed everywhere on the field, how did it come to this? Is this the beginning of the end of it all?
It all began on that specific day.
Two Years Ago:-
An exciting day it was for Kira Smith, the first day of her second year in high school. Her dad who's a police officer and her mum who's a housewife gave her good genes, she was a young girl, no older than 17 in white pajamas, it had long sleeves that covered half of her palms. she stared at her mirror with her blue eyes, her dirty blonde hair flowed freely over her pajamas and a smile drew over her lips.
After organizing her room, she stretched her arms and rushed to the bathroom. Upon getting there, her older brother, Mike was already taking his usual thirty minutes shower. Rolling her eyes, she knocked loudly on the wooden door.

"Hurry up Mike. I don't want to be late for school."
The first days of school after breaks were always the ones Kira looked forward to. Having to see her friends after a long time was one cause of her excitement.
"Sorry lil' sis. You've gotta' wait for your turn." Mike shouted back, trying to make his voice louder than the sound of water running from the shower.
Kira crossed her arms across her chest, she's always hated to wait for her brother all the time. After ten minutes passed Kira banged on the door again, "Mike I don't have enough time for God's sake!"
Mike soon opened the door and stepped out with a blue towel wrapped around his waist. His dark brown hair was dripping wet as he ran his hands through it. "Geez, calm down." he had an amused smile playing on his face.
"Jerk.". She had no time, so she just pushed him to the side and went in.
For breakfast, she only took a few bites before running outside to catch the bus, but she was late.
Kira groaned. "Thanks a lot, Mike, you stupid jerk." she stomped her feet angrily on the ground.
Turning around, she began to walk the long block to school.

A male in his forties rushed into a huge building. The skyscraper was so tall it had dark blue color all over its windows, and it had the company's emblem bold on top "Nyxx corporations."
He rushed into the elevator, squeezing through other employees. "Excuse me– passing through– hi!" Some gave him glares as he tried to situate himself at the back.
Upon getting to floor 58, he headed for the laboratory, taking huge, quick steps.
"Good morning, sorry I'm late. How are you doing?" he removed the contents of his black bag, placing some documents on the desk. When he was done, he grabbed a pair of rubber gloves and wore them.
"Good morning Dr. Marcus. We're 98 percent done so far. Twenty minutes and we're done with the serum." his assistant filled him in with a warm smile. He headed to the table and inspected the chemicals. When he saw that they'd proceeded well, he nodded.

"Fabulous, you did great. Now let's go get ourselves some coffee to pipe us up. Let's just hope we don't bump into Nyxx.". Headed for the door, he removed the gloves and threw them into the bin.
The assistant chuckled, scratching her chin. "Let's hope not.".
Marcus was about to get to the coffee machine by the end of the hall when he noticed the CEO of the company, Nyxx herself, discussing animatedly with her assistant. He tried to sneak past her, stealthily.
Without having to turn to him, Nyxx hollered, her very feminine and silky voice contrasting her tough exterior, "Dr. Marcus!"
Marcus froze in his place like a thief who just got caught in the act. "How did you even –" he was shocked and also disappointed in himself for not being too great at tiptoeing.
"Oh please, you always use the same cologne, you never change it, plus, you're the only one who arrives late every day like that!" with a cold tone.
The pretty blonde turned around on her toe and made an eye-contact with Marcus. She had a cold look in her brown eyes, her blonde hair was tied to her right side, covering her right shoulder and her dress was shining in red, she looked more of a model than a CEO of a corporation.
"So, how much progress have you achieved with the serum?" She was tapping her right foot on the linoleum floor, hands crossed.
"W– well it's all ready. I'll head to the lab to test it myself.".
"Great. I'll attend the test myself." a wicked smile drew on her face.
"W– wh– what? Since when do you attend–" before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Nyxx.
"Since now. I hope you still remember my warning? This is your last chance. If this test fails, I'll end the project and my funding to it." she sounded strict. Though she was younger than him, she reprimanded him like a four-year-old.
"Understood, let's head to the lab and test it" Marcus agreed in submission.
He opened the door for her to walk in then followed her.
----------------------------------------------
Kira's feet were starting to hurt as she walked down the busy road, maneuvering through cars. She mumbled curses at her brother, "I hate him, I hate him. I hate–"
"WATCH OUT LADY!" A yell came from across the street. Kira was crossing the road without paying attention to the red light that turned green and a truck was heading her way, speeding.
"Huh?" She looked at the truck, it was the first time she felt that fear, the fear of death, and seeing all her life memories before her eyes. At this moment she knew it was her moment of death. She couldn't move, she just kept staring wide-eyed.
Just when she was about to fall into the claws of death, she felt something grabbing her. A young boy swiftly wrapped his arms around her and jumped away from the truck with her in his arms. Once they hit the ground the young man looked down at her and grinned. He had an eye patch on his right eye, his clothes were a bit torn and his hair was messed up. He looked like he'd be of the same age as Kira. His face looked somewhat familiar like she'd seen him somewhere, but perhaps it was just a déjà vu.
People gathered around them to check on Kira. "Are you ok? Were you hurt? Any injuries?" They all bombarded her with a myriad of questions. One minute she'd thought she'd die and the next thing she was on the ground with a guy on top of her. When she finally snapped back, she started looking from left to right, searching for the person that had saved her life. She owed him one.
"Be careful next time, young lady." one of the shop owners on the street said, patting her gently on the shoulder. Kira simply nodded and started her trek to school, this time more observant of her surroundings.
