《Into the Hulk》Chapter 52: Avenging Son

One hundred and thirty seconds remain. Your health status light is black and cold. You can feel the blood draining from your wounds and the living plagues eating into your leg. You don’t care. You are not yet done. The Exalted Champions have made a fatal mistake.
They left you alive.
The Exalted Champions stalk past you, closing on Tayib. You push yourself to your knees in a pool of your own blood. Fire creeps onto the edges of your vision. You reach deep inside yourself, drawing up the least ebbs of your strength, and something more. You know of the machine-spirits that inhabit your weapons. You have felt the ghosts of those who have worn your power armor before you standing at your shoulder in the past. Now they add their strength, their wrath, and their righteous fury to yours.
“You forgot the first rule of fighting Ultramarines: make sure that your target is actually dead.”
Your plasma pistol is in your right hand. You know its ammunition flask is empty. You don’t care, it’s machine spirit doesn’t care, and in this place where reality has begun to break down, it doesn’t matter. Your will flows into the weapon, feeding its hungry machine spirit and stoking it’s fury. It bucks in your hand, two overcharged shots leaping from the barrel at the wounded Champion. It’s unholy force field pops like a rotten berry, the power pack on the back of its power armor blows apart, and the armored plates beneath shatters. Its necrotic flesh boils of its bones, which burn to black ashes before the empty suit of power armor crashes to the ground with the clatter of rusted metal.
The two surviving Champions howl in agony as they turn to face you. “You DARE?”
“Courage. And. Honor.”

The Champions turn to attack you and recoil, shocked by either your appearance or by something behind you. You don’t bother looking, instead re-aiming and firing again. The second Champion’s head evaporates into dust on the wind, leaving his body to collapse and impale itself on his own sword. The last Champion rams his sword through your breastplate out out your back. You can feel it split both of your hearts in half, collapse two of your three lungs, shatter your rib cage, and sever your spine. Your armor’s built-in drug dispensers flood your system with pain suppressants, but you know it isn’t enough to keep you alive for more than a few seconds. As your armor loses power and begins to shut down around your body, you pull the trigger on you plasma pistol two last times. The last Champion falls dead on top of you, his legs shot away at the hip, flames eating him from the inside out.
One hundred and six seconds remain on your timer as it fades from view for the last time.
“Unleash hell Tayib.”
Your eyes close for the last time, your foes slain, your mission complete.
One hundred and six seconds later, you body is obliterated along with The Blighted Heart and the Captialis Congestus.

How pathetic.” An infamous Immortal Emperor from Black Heaven Realm was at the end of his lifespan as he shut his old and wrinkled eyelids, awaiting his impending death with a hint of regret. However, when he was on his last breath– the serenity was disrupted by a simple-looking pebble that started glowing intensely out of nowhere as it entered his dantian and he lost consciousness. Enjoying his new life with a carefree attitude in a new world, running a teahouse with the help of the Celestial Teahouse System– Li Qu will slowly unravel the mysteries behind the pebble and the reason for his transmigration. Was he the only one to do so? Or was there a deeper meaning behind all of this? Will be releasing chapters daily until it gets knocked off the Rising Star list. From then on, it'll be Monday - Friday. Important Note: It's written in a style of a 'Chinese-translated-to-English' type of story. I get the confusion in the earlier chapters, however– NO harem. It's mostly a turn-off-your-brain chill type of story. Author's Note: As this is the first story that I've ever written, there will be occasional errors and as such, please forgive me in advance.

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
