《Mother Dryad & Father Dragon》Chapter 17

“I had a feeling you'd be the best magic teacher ever, honey! You've already taught our youngster how to channel mana!” My father screams with delight, throwing me and my mother into the air.
“Please, I wish I could have taught him how to channel mana because he did it all by himself. Our son is the genius he was destined to be!” My mother says kissing my father. Even though I know I have a mature mind, seeing them kiss still irritates me. Separating them as quickly as possible, I drew my mother away from him.
“When will it be my turn to teach my son, honey?” As I get further away, my father yells at me.
“When I'm done asking the outside cave questions!” Instead of my mother, I say. Taking my mother back to my room which still had no door we sat down. “We are still student-led learning right?” My mother nods.
“Can you tell me what questions you have?” She asked.
“You said we're mana-based creatures in our last session. What are humans if we're based on mana?” I enquire.
“Good question, you must be interested in learning more about the foe, don't you?” Nodding at my mother's question she grins. “There will be some history, but it will not be as significant as the previous story. Before humans, there were mythical creatures. Our history is much more extensive and intertwined with the earth than that of humans. Our gods did not create humans until centuries later. Humans, being human, decided to create new gods rather than follow our old ones. These new gods arose as the human population grew, and they grew in power.
Before humans, there were mythical creatures. The new gods, on the other hand, were envious of us mythical creatures. Humans had stones while we had mana and advanced tools. The old and new gods conferred and decided to bestow strength on humans. They weren't mana-based; instead, they were mana-infused, which meant they only had mana in their veins.

They were also bestowed with dungeons that could only be found in human settlements or kingdoms, which was both a blessing and a curse. The dungeons housed unintelligent mythical creatures that could be found anywhere, but they were empowered in the dungeons. The dungeons were ranked from E to S. The letter E stands for the weakest, while the letter S stands for the strongest. You could come in with nothing and leave with renewed strength. The more dungeons you complete, the stronger you become. Aside from this, certain items, albeit of varying strength, will occasionally drop. To swords that can cause disease, to torches that never go out. They also tossed magic books containing knowledge of specific spells in these dungeons. They were even able to learn a type of dragon breath. Even though it is much weaker, the dragon almost started a war when the discovered a human could do that.
However, the dungeons remained a curse. If a new dungeon appears and is not dealt with within a certain amount of time, it will collapse and release whatever is inside to ravage their lands. This resulted in a slew of small villages and kingdoms whose dungeons were simply too powerful to fall. Humans gained their abilities and strength in this way. That is what distinguishes humans from mythical creatures. We were born with it, while they were given it. Do you understand?” My mother says finally complete with her story.
My mother nods and walks away, leaving me to ponder. As a result, it appears that humans are living in a virtual reality without the revive. They become stronger in dungeons, level up and gain items. They can learn mythical creature skills, but at a lower level. Humans appear to be powerful only with their slave magic. Aside from that, they're weak. What level of adventurer can I handle by dungeon, Little Helper?

[At this point, I'd say you're capable of dealing with some E or low mid G rank. humans. However, this is only based on status, not the actual weapon or armor that can be obtained from a dungeon.]
As a result, if I see them, I must exercise caution and not dismiss them. Nonetheless, they'll almost certainly only give them a slight advantage. If an E rank human held a S rank item, it would be perplexing. That is how fate has worked out for me if I met one. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to enter a dungeon. It would be fantastic.
