《Morlock》Prologue

“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

Words uttered by Sir Arthur C. Clarke sometime in the 1900s. While the saying may be sagacious, I happen to disagree with it on a fundamental level.

Technology, is accessible to everyone who has enough funds and can be manipulated with relative ease. Magic, on the other hand, is an internal skill achieved by only the select few gifted asshats.

Put in enough effort and anyone could learn how to use a computer, learn how to code, create AI programs, and perform other technological marvels. You must be a special sort of touched to enjoy the gift of magic.

Magicians are the reason for inequality in this modern age; their power only enhanced by technology, and their thirst for authority is unmatched. They are loved, hated, revered, despised. They are the embodiment of evil, objects of my hatred.

And now.

It seems.

I have become one of them.
