《Master Dungeon Network》Chapter 01 : The Beginning

"Oye! Joy. Get your butt moving. You must finish the Dungeon core, rest of the work is done", Sree urged.
It had been a few decades since the first Dungeon appeared out of thin air. It had been a long and disastrous journey since then. Thousands of the big cities had been devastated. Uncountable towns and villages had been compromised. The social structure had fallen abruptly. The economy had been hit too badly. Within weeks, millions of business was lost as most of the trade routes were infested by monsters. The world was facing an unprecedented crisis over every department.
At first, most of the nexus between rural and urban regions got cut. The fields and factories were mostly left behind. Most of the people started to flock in the big cities. Then the top brasses of many nations came to address the issue together. At that moment, people with abilities were already discovered. They started to fight on their own against these monsters. Within a few months, they became common as clouds.
Some of the newfound professionals started to form groups and clear the Dungeons and surroundings. They discovered a lot of equipment, weapons, scrolls, skill books, blueprints, and many more inside the Dungeons. With the help of the loots, their abilities and skills surged, and they started to conquer even more Dungeons. A new profession was born among ability users, the Raiders. But with time, the Dungeons started to become more dangerous. It seemed to be a race between Dungeons and the Raiders. Many of the inexperienced and novice teams started to be wiped out inside the Dungeons.
With time, some other professions started to develop. Professions like Blacksmith, Leather Worker, Enchanter, Gatherer, Tinkerer, Cartographer, and many more emerged. With the newfound abilities and science, Earthlings discovered more ways to advance quickly. Discoveries of many unknown ores, metals, species, technologies shook the human civilization again and again. They thought one achievement to be the most advanced one, and before production and manufacturing units caught up, yet another groundbreaking one started to draw the wind.
Time flew, as the Groups were converted into giant powerhouses called Guilds. The jungle laws were reestablished with the help of Guilds. A different economy boomed. The heroical feeling of conquering a Dungeon became a commercial competition between the Guilds. They hired many professionals to develop the composition of the organizations. They started to race against each other. As more Dungeon completion means more weapons, pieces of equipment, scrolls, and skill books. And simultaneously more money.
More and more people from different professions joined the raids, as the raid timing extended, ranging from few hours to even weeks. So other professions started to join with the raiders as an ancillary system to accelerate the raiders to the dungeon cores. As more Dungeon cores got destroyed, the people of Earth were getting more and more powerful. But they could not understand this was only an early phase, the real story was yet to uncover.

"Just let me relax a little bit sweetheart, finish the raid boss first with the new recruits.", Joy replied while relaxing.
They had been best friends and childhood sweethearts. They started their raiders' journey at the age of 17. They ventured through many of the Dungeons. After god knows how much hardship, they created the guild 'Pegasys'. It became well-known, after discovering one of the rare Ruins Dungeon. From there onwards, their fame exploded upwards.
Pegasys was one of the unique guilds, where the number of members was almost constant. They never lose too many recruits in any raid, unlike other guilds. That was because of Sree, the magic hands. But after the Ruins Dungeon rewards, they got too many pieces of equipment and weaponry. Since then, the power level of the members shot exponentially. It was the beginning of their rise. Their 5th most elite team could achieve the results that the best team from other large guilds could only covet.
"It's all done. Now request the majesty to come and finish the core with your golden hands", Sree mocked and prodded together. Actually, there was no rule that the leader had to finish the core. But the core was the most wicked existence in the Dungeon. They sometimes included traps that might kill most of the recruits.
"Yeah, yeah. The safest way was the way to success. No one cares about me. I want justice in bed today.", Joy approached the core while complaining.
"In your sweet dreams dumbo. Finish it qui-", Sree could not finish her rebuking and soon faced a blinding light covering their eyes.
"Shit! What is this?", Rik shouted from a distance, "Some kind of new magic?".
"Aghhhhhhhhhhh!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!! Oooooooooooo. Quaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..... ", Joy shouted in agony. The strain was clear from his voice. As if the world became slower as the blinding light washed them in a warm embrace.
They all heard Joy's voice, Sree panicked in a second. Her eyes were tensed, many lines could be seen in her forehead. She had ventured in all the Dungeons with Joy. So she knew it better than anyone. She never heard him yell like that, in any circumstances. Joy had faced cruel tortures in the chambers of the Dungeons. But, he never gave up. Now suddenly, this hoarse cry was enough to break into a cold sweat.
The light slowly faded away, but the presence of Joy could not be felt anymore. Her legs gave away. Her lips parted, but no voice came out.
"Guild leader!!!"
"What the hell is going on? This might be a prank. Where the hell did Guild Leader vanish?"
"This must be a newfound ability. He is testing on us."
"You are right. This must be a joke."
"But Sree does not look like, she is acting."
"Damn!! What is going on?"

The recruits, who held most pride in their guild leader, started talking among themselves.
"Oye, Sree. Where is the boss? He will kill me if he sees, I let you seat on the stone chamber.", Rik joked as he joined the main group. He was one of the early members, so he was one of the most seniors of the group.
"No clue.", she put all the strength in her voice and responded to Rik.
Before Rik could even reply, a voice reverberated inside of their mind.
Every living being on the earth entered a dormant state. They wished for the last time. They wanted to live enough to see sunlight again.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Joy awakened in a dark room. He could not even see his own hand. He grabbed his head as he discovered himself in exceptional pain. He could perceive many strings of information coming inside his head. He started to understand many things regarding the Dungeon system. The information volume was enough to beat any library on Earth.
After a few hours, he absorbed all the information. He did not understand all the information available, but he just conjectured the layout of the information. He took some time to adjust his attitude. He felt really pitiful once he understood the basics. He looked around and found the room was neverending. His eyesight got familiar in the dark. He started to fumble around in the dark. Suddenly one small dot of light came into his view. Then the dot started to develop at a noticeable rate.
"Aye! What am I seeing here? You have awoken? How? When? What am I going to do!! I... You...", the ball of light changed into a little girl. And suddenly without any warning, she started to panic and walk around. She looked like next-door kiddo, with a ponytail in the back.
"Hey! Are you okay? Have you lost? Should I help you with anythi-", before even ending the sentence, Joy felt a cold shiver. He clearly felt the killing intent in the stare of that little girl.
"Shut up! I will just compensate for what has been messed. How long are you conscious?", she shouted at first, whispering to herself the second part. Then calmed herself down and the last section. It was a swift mood swing as if Joy was at the wrong end.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Should I speak my majesty?", Joy felt nervous after that intent stare.
"How do you know? Have I said something? Have I messed up again? NO! TELL ME HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY IDENTITY?", she murmured at the beginning. Then once she understood it was not her mistake, she started to bellow.
'Not again! This little girl and her mood swing. In these 2 minutes, I can sense she is a total comical child who only loves to order around', Joy complained in his mind.
"I have no clue about your identity. I just said that to appease your mood. As for how much I am conscious, it's been a while."
"Oh! Here I thought you know my identity and I can't introduce myself anymore. That's why I panicked. Hehehe. "
'A real kiddo', Joy intervened in his head.
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Jax. I am the successor of the Dragonia Kingdom. I am only 246 years old, still 254 years to reach adulthood. I am here to guide you to the next stage. Remember 1 thing clearly. Never divulge your true information to anyone. There are too many types of magic that might only require one single true information to kill you."
"So your name and other information you gave me is all-"
"Fake. Yup, you dumbo. Because I am not a little girl to disclose true information. But you might still call me Jax. What should I call you?"
"You may call me Jeet. I am from a faraway land, who had been infested with dungeons recently. I cleared-"
"I know. Same story. You have cleared one dungeon and has been sent to this place. This place is called the pioneer room. So you can't be anything else. Now, listen carefully. You must have a great deal of mental fortitude to wake up before my arrival. Let me go through your basic stats and system."
"What stats and system? I don't know anything of that sort. Pl-"
"-ease guide me through", Joy concluded without showing any facial expression.
"Oh! I keep forgetting you are a noob. Start with simple commands, like Stats and points. And don't forget, 'Share' command is for allowing me to examine and explain", Jax responded with a stern expression. Once it came to the business, her appearance changed to a really scary and serious one.
'Hey! Whoever are you, are you ready with a disguise?'
"Stats", Joy shouted.
"pfft, you can just silently say it in your mind without scaring other people", Jax burst into laughter.
"Ah. You should say that in advance."
'Stats, Points, Share.'

Yet Another RimWorld (Dropped)
*Fanfiction based on the game RimWorld*A more realistic take of RimWorld, where we follow the pawns that must struggle to survive in yet another Rimworld. Their stories, guided by a particularly playful narrator, will tell the tales of survival, defeat, gains, losses, triumph, and ultimately ruin. Trials faced by people, in places of various circumstances, will be observed and presented to its audience. What will be presented here are insignificant snippets of history, merely few of the innumerable tales and prospects to be found across this wide galaxy; The things we discover from these pawns, so many yet so few. Ultimately, they are just more drama meant for enjoyment, albeit in a twisted way. A/N:This is a fanfiction, based on the game "RimWorld". Using my personal gameplays as a basis for this fanfiction, in addition to some embellishments here and there. Unlike the silly antics that caused grave consequences if you had ever played RimWorld, my rendition will (hopefully) stay more grounded to reality, whereby no one will go beserk and dig up corpses if they can't eat on a table for 3 days in a row. That's all I need to say, you get the point. I'm writing this for fun. So please expect me to be inconsistent. Lastly, I am incredibly grateful to Tynan Sylvester for the game he created, "RimWorld", which is loved by many across the world and it will always remain a special place in my heart. For without his game, my work would not exist.

Instead, it created the Partition, a tapestry of worlds beyond the boundary of our own. There the magic roams, searching for a way to come back. I am a Knight of Avalon.
